      I canceled my membership. It was supposed to end October 31, 2024. A week before I tried to log in to verify it was canceled and some strange reason I could not. This company renewed my account regardless charging me $59.99 from May 2014-May 2025. Refund my money.

      This is in regard to the site Black People Meet. I have attempted to login to the site to cancel my membership then delete my account. I was prompted to login to my account as I already am logged into this account as it gives the option to log out. I also receive emails to the email I created a profile and an account. I attempted to login with an error that the password was incorrect. I then selected the option to send an email to change the password no email message has been received in my inbox nor junk folder. I decided to send a message to the customer service department to only be told to go through the same steps I have already tried before sending the message to customer service. I also paid for a month subscription *****. I no longer want this subscription nor want to be apart of this site. I believe there is some fraudlent behavior going on. I want my money returned and account deleted. I am seeing more are people reporting this as an issue. I want this to be resolved.

      Members may be prompted to re-enter login credentials prior to accessing account settings that may contain personal information, such as payment data, subscription information, and more. In this case, the member will need to re-enter their information correctly even if they are currently logged in to confirm and authenticate the request.

      Be advised that although the phone number provided links to a valid BlackPeopleMeet accuont,  the e-mail address provided in this concern does not match the e-mail address on file. Password resets will be sent to the e-mail address of record, and this e-mail address is also part of the login credentials needed to log into or make changes to a BLK account.

      I am rejecting this response because: I received two emails back from Black People Meet.com giving me instructions on how to retrieve my account with the account listed in the email attached to my account. I checked my junk mail folder and I added the email address to my contacts and sent a new message as I was directed. I still was not able to retrieve my account with a link to reset my password. I tried the instructions provided to me several times today. I am still not able to gain access to my account to delete my profile and cancel my subscription. I have not received a link and I continue to receive emails with matches so clearly the ********************** is the correct address on file. There is an issue in their system and all I am asking is to be able to delete and cancel this subscription.

      I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution. I will never sign up with this site again. As the emails clearly show that the ********************** was the original email address. I can not believe that they want to continue to not tell the truth. The tbrewer email address I received the same error message without any link inside of my junk mail folder. I tried that email as a backup and the customer service *** asked dor another email that is why that email is showing in the system. If I changed my email you would think the issue woukd have been resolved according to your CSR. As long as I receive my refund and my subscription has been cancelled I will leave this matter alone. TRULY disheartening that a customer has to go to the ******************** for assistance when your company is being fraudlent in its services.

      I just signed up for a subscription with Blackpeoplemeet.com this morning on October 23, 2024. I received a confirmation email of my membership at 9:07am this morning. I logged out this morning and when I attempted to log back in, it stated that access to my account was block and I am unable to log in. I even updated my password and it is still saying access to my account is blocked.

      On approximately 10/15/24 I made multiple attempts to cancel my subscription that was due to renew (I believe) on 10/19/24. After being logged into my account I followed the steps provided through their app. Once getting to what I am assuming was the final step it kept taking me back to a screen to log in. I would log in again, and the same thing would happen. After several attempts I sent a message through the app stating that I was unable to cancel my membership/subscription. Not only did I not get a response, but it appears that my subscription was renewed. I sent another message through their app today requesting a refund. Messaging through the app appears to be the only way to seek assistance. Once its sent, I cant seem to find any record of the current message (or the previously sent message requesting the cancellation BEFORE the renewal); which is very concerning to me. Im not sure why a correspondence for assistance would not be housed somewhere assessable to me through my ********** other concerns are if I attempt to cancel now/again, it will complicate my refund. Also, this is a 6 month subscription. Would I even be able to cancel then, or am I forced to be their customer forever?I would like to be refunded my money and for my subscription/membership to be cancelled.Please advise Thank you

Please note that BlackPeopleMeet may prompt members to enter their login credentials again when accessing certain details like payment information, and being prompted to enter credentials after already doing so may be due an incorrect or inaccurate password being entered, or the member has attempted to use a saved password that does not reflect the current password on the account. We recommend attempting manual entry of the password in this case and ensuring that it is entered correctly before attempting to log in.

      This subscription renewal has been refunded as a courtesy, and the funds will be returned to the original method of payment within 5-10 business days.

      I have been a member of the online dating service Our Time for a few years with no issues. All of a sudden the membership was terminated and I was told it was because I violated terms and conditions. They provided no information on what that violation was and have banned me from setting up a new account. I have paid them through December (I had cancelled the auto-renewal) and I want to be re-instated AND have a specific reason why the membership was terminated. There is also no way to actually resolve these issues with the company - they simply send you an email saying you have been terminated after you inquire about your account. These online dating services don't seem to be accountable and probably should be regulated more strictly. I fully resent being treated like this - I am a respected member of my community, well educated and financially secure. I have violated nothing.

      I was contacted by my bank that my account was overdrawn after receiving a invoice for services on ******. This service has automatic withdrawal from my account. I had years ago asked to cancel my service online and had believed my request was handled. I have discovered that they have been collecting the above mentioned amount every month for the last year and a half. I tried to call multiple times but can not get a person to complete and confirm that this will stop and the ******** will be stopped. I never used the service after I sent in the online cancellation so there will be evidence of no logins from me .

      I obtained a spam promotion to join Black people meet.com and after signing in to try, I became curious. In the beginning I was having a awful experience. I was approached by gang members, scammers and a couple of mentally ill women. My account was bank accounts were hacked and I was forced to obtain new cards of which I am awaiting. One contact was able to get in my email and cell and although I can't prove anything, I have my suspicions based on her son doing ************************** the final days before my account expired, I met three very nice women but was unable to renew my account due to the dead cards. I am also hesitate to use the but I want to continue communicating.

      I purchased a one month subscription and after they took payment, they locked me out. Contract Law: When users pay for a membership, they enter into a contract with the website.
