      When I signed up for my Tough Mudder, I was asked to create an Active Account. This had unknowingly signed me up for a free trial that automatically converted to a $99.95 yearly subscription. I was completely unaware that I was signing up for a free trial or that there was a membership fee to be paid for a service that I didn't know I signed up for. This does not appear to be a new practice for ActiveAdvantage, there were several similar complaints and they were sued in the past for this exact practice. Checking my email, they tried to do this to me twice and only failed the first time in July because my credit card number changed between the start of the unknowing membership to the end of the trial you don't know you have.

      I was offered by a coworker to have her race registration transferred to me as she was unable to make the race, and I told her I was interested and she told me that in order to make the transfer I needed an account on **********************. After setting up my email address and password and pressing continue I was directed to a payment information screen which appeared to be a step in the account activation process. There was a check marked box below offering a subscription option (which I unchecked) and after entering my card info it said above. "************************** will not charge your card" along with an "amount owed: $0". I then clicked next to continue the registration process and immediately got a notification on my phone from my email of my bank notifying me that my card was charged $14.59. I notified my bank that I did not make this transaction. Later, I attempted to reach ********************** to dispute these charges, only to find out that all customer support lines will refer you to an email address to submit tickets and immediately hang up after you select the option for "Dispute a charge on your credit card". There is no possible way to speak a live person about any transactions made on **********************. It's absurd to me that a company is allowed to continue when there are this many identical complaints about the business acting fraudulently. I got an automated email to a ticket I submitted about the charges saying that there would be a delayed response due to "an unusual volume of complaints" (no wonder!).

      There were two charges on my credit card. One was on 9/9/23 in the amount of $99.95. The other was on 9/09/24 in the amount of $99.95. I have NO idea what these charges are for. I did not approve these charges, so I am reporting them as fraudulent charges and requesting that I be reimbursed for these charges. I did not even find this error till September, 2024.

      Active advantage tried to charge my card $99.95 multiple times within the last few months. Thankfully our card company blocked the charge but we had to get a new card. It shows up as ACT*87874AADV-Renewal on a statement.I never signed up for this "service" or authorized this company to charge subscription based fees. I tracked it down to a half Ironman I signed up for and got enrolled in through the whole sign up process. (It looks like)

      I was charged $99.95 by Active Network, LLC without my authorization. The company claims that I signed up for a membership, but I never knowingly agreed to such a charge. This appears to be a deceptive business practice.I discovered the charge on December 16, 2024, under the description "ACT*AADV ***** EndTria *********** TX" and contacted Active Networks customer service to dispute it. I have contacted Active Networks customer service to dispute the charge, but there has not been sufficient time for them to respond yet. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. I also sent an email to Active Network, LLC to address this matter and am awaiting their response.After researching further, I found that many others have reported similar issues with Active Network. This indicates a pattern of deceptive practices affecting multiple consumers.I am seeking a full refund of the $99.95 charge, confirmation that no further charges will be made to my account, and an investigation into Active Networks practices to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter.

      Active Network has been charging my wife 99.95$ for the last three years for some type of subscription they offer. However, we have never made an account with them that we're aware of, and have had to change cards but are somehow still getting charged. The last charge was 12/13/2024. To me, this is evidence of fraudulent behavior and should seriously be looked into by authorities. A quick ****** search of this "subscription" charge tells me many people deal with this chicanery on a regular basis. Please do something. We are currently trying to contact them to refund our money and delete any account that might exist.

      I signed up for a charity "Turkey Trot" in November 2016. One month later I was billed for an "Active Advantage 1 Year Membership". This went unknown and I only discovered their annual billing when I received an email this week about the renewal of my membership.This is not something that I knowingly signed up for. There was no clear indication of a looming membership. I do not participate in races and was not looking to receive any of their benefits.The charges have been for the following amounts over the past decade now:12/14/16 - $69.96 12/14/17 - $69.95 12/14/18 - $79.95 12/14/19 - $89.95 12/14/20 - $89.95 12/14/21 - $89.95 12/14/22 - $89.95 12/14/23 - $99.95 12/14/24 - $99.95 This is a total of $859.50.This behavior was predatory and misleading. The first email that I received about a renewal or a charge was on December 14, 2024. Please let me know what my next steps should be.

      I was recently informed by my credit card company that I had a charge on 12/11/24 in the amount of $99.95. In reviewing, it tracked back to this company. At no point have I ever done business with this company, nor have i signed up for any races.

      Signed my kid up for a baseball camp on November 8th, charge on my account came through on November 9th and now exactly a month later there is a $99.95 charge again for a subscription. I did NOT authorize this or sign up for this! Reading the reviews, this happens all the time!
