Unauthorized charge of $89.95 to my account (transaction #*************** from this mystery account of "ACT ****** **". I did not sign up for any annual services. The company is making it extremely difficult to contact them in order to get a refund. When you call their phone number, it immediately says they don't have enough workforce and to email them, but they don't provide an email address.Business Response

Date of fraud April 6th. My bank account was charged ***** without my knowledge. I dont know who this company is or what they do. I have contacted my bank to open a fraud case and to put a hold on my bank account for worry of more fraud from this company, Active Network. I did email them this evening demanding my information be removed from their system and to refund the full amount. This is unacceptable and creates serious problems and complications when I have to put my account on fraud status. I want this resolved ASAPBusiness Response

My card was charged on April 6th 2023 in the amount of ***** without any knowledge on my side I have never signed up with this company nor did I give anyone at this company permission to use my bank card. I have contacted my bank and have had fraud alert activated with a dispute of charge and disabled the bank card/account information. I was drafted $89.95 from my checking account today for a purchase I did not make or agree to. I had never heard of Active Network and certainly did not sign up for any of their services. It is impossible to get anybody from customer service on the phone - their phone lines are disconnected with a message stating that they are understaffed due to COVID. Upon investigation, it appears that this is a known deceptive practice of requiring a near impossible "opt out" when people are just trying to register for a race. I would like my account credited and my information deleted as soon as possible. The fact that this has apparently been a known business practice for over 20 years is appalling.Business Response

I believe this came from signing up for the muddy princess run in ********* *********. I never signed up for a membership in this active advantage whatever its called and I am being charged $89.95 without my consent. I tried to call the number and it rings, and then hangs up. When I googled active advantage, theres been a ton of lawsuits class action against this company for falsely charging people for memberships.Business Response
