***************************** needs to be jailed. I cant wait for this company to fail and get slapped with a class action lawsuit. *************** roll as a customer service representative must be a joke because it doesnt exist. Probably not even a real person and just collecting additional paychecks for ******. This company will be under investigation soon!

I also received a charge for this unrequested service after signing up for a local kids course. This is a definite scam and I will be reporting it to the organization that I signed up with and the State Attorney General.

I used Active Advantage 5 years ago. Have not used any of their services since. On March 22, 2024, I had a bank charge of $99.95 from Active. The phone number provided to call for issues redirects you to another number that goes to a voice mail telling you to email them. I reported it to my bank as fraud and had all future transactions with their merchant ID blocked as well. I also sent them an email to inform them of the fraudulent charges and that they should investigate who in their company is doing this. As seen in the reviews, this is not a one time accident, it is a recurring theme.

Much like everyone else, my major complaint is the terrible customer service. ********************** makes it really difficult to cancel a membership.

Similar to a lot of reviews on here, I was charged a fee on my credit card for a membership to this company that I have no memory of signing up for. I was charged $99.95 for a membership subscription; and from what I gathered I unknowingly was enrolled when I signed up for an ice skating even with one of their partners. I called the phone number listed on my credit card statement related to this charge and it takes me to a voice recording that tells me to call another number. Then I call the second number, it takes me to a voice recording that says to email them instead. This makes it impossible to deal with them in person. These auto-enrollment practices are unfair and shady business tactics. Beware!

An Active Network charge of $99.95 appeared on March 1, 2024. I did not authorize the charge. The only number number available to get to a nice person on the end of the line who has been given the s***** job of explaining the only option for a charge reversal is via email, which I have submitted. This customer service structure *****, because their is no voice and no natural way to explain the purchase. So I'm at the mercy of the email response for an explanation.

Scam alert! This company will charge you a undisclosed fee a month after you register with a partnering program. They even have a hotline for complaints about it acknowledging their underhanded business.

**************** Much like everyone else, signed my kids up for a sports camp which contracts this company to do it. One month later, get a $99.95 charge on my credit card. Research was easy, as this company is well known for this shady tactic; so much so, you call their toll free number and one of the options basically acknowledges their shady fee and tells you to email them.

I signed my kids up for a sporting event through my city which uses this company for something. Anyways, you think youre just signing up for sports but end up with some membership fee that you never authorized. I called them. The phone number directs you to emailing them. I emailed them but they wont email you back. I tried to see if I even had an account and it directed me to agree to sign on terms which I dont agree with so Im not signing in. This is a scam. They were sued in 2022. Heres part of the report Duping event registrants into discount club memberships and sneaking charges onto users credit cards: ACTIVE inserts a webpage into its online event registration and payment process that provides an offer for a free trial enrollment into Active Advantage. Many consumers click on the highlighted call to action buttonwhich is typically labeled Acceptbecause they believe they are accepting charges to their credit or debit cards to participate in an event. In fact, ACTIVE is enrolling consumers into an Active Advantage trial membership. The trial membership automatically converts to a paid subscription, with an annual fee *****************************************************************************************************************************

Something NEEDS to be done about this fraudulent organization. With the amount of complaints that all stem from the same issue, I'd highly encourage a lawyer to seek a class action lawsuit. In my specific case, I have registered to events that use their payment hosting service. Through that service, they receive your payment information and automatically subscribe you to MULTIPLE magazine subscriptions on an annual basis WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT. I have received annual fees for magazines in the total of $99.95, $49.95, 2X $89.95. The phone number they have listed is out of service and their email support is useless. Through a tedious email chase, I did have the initial $99.95 fee reversed with their assurance I would no longer be charged, but to my dismay.. these fees kept on coming. I contacted again and they could not identify where my additional fees were coming from. They gave me an external email/phone # to contact; which also did not recognize where this charge was coming from. Furthermore, that company was curious as to why they offered up their contact information.I have disputed these fees with my bank and hope that a lawyer reviews this case as I believe the Active Network is an organization that engages in criminal practice. I'd also encourage endurance events that use their payment system to seek alternative methods.
