We signed up for the bubble run last year and around the same time this year, i got an email saying that I got renewed with an active program, which I have no idea what the charge is about . Any now thinking about the time line and looking it up online and knowing must be related to the bubble run we did last year and I tried to email them and asked them to remove the charge bc they never got my permission for this.

I signed up for a bubble run with my kids and friends and we get an email saying it was cancelled and we were given a year free of some online membership and able to attend another run for free as well. I've repeatedly asked for a refund through emails and only received the automatic replies saying someone would reach out. Here we are 3 months later and nothing. No phone numbers either. This is a SCAM.

This company is scamming people by enrolling them in a membership and charging them $99. I do not even know what this company is or how they got my information. None of their phone lines work, they state they are unavailable by phone due to workforce restrictions in an automated message. They do not respond to any emails. There should be a lawsuit brought against this company.

Ridiculous. I can't figure out how I signed up for their $90 subscription. They have no way to contact by phone; they can only be reached by email. Getting a refund isn't seeming promising at this point.

Active Network, LLCACTIVE Network (www.active.com) is using Dark Patterns to, in my opinion, use trickery and questionable fraud methods to enroll members into their Active Advantage memberships. During their payment process for legitimate sports clinics, they are deceptively including/inserting a step that appears to be part of confirming payment for the services requested. However, this step is to sign the member up for their Active Advantage membership. That is, you cannot complete the payment unless you navigate through their sign-up dialogue sequence which can be very misleading. I later received an email congratulating me for signing up. I then requested them to cancel my account explaining the issue. A "*******************" responded to my email acknowledging, but side-stepping, my request for cancellation, and then listed a series of benefits associated with the membership and left the matter open "awaiting" my response on the asserted benefits she had outlined.I later received an email saying that since I had not followed up with her previous email where she had acknowledged my request to cancel, but then listed why the membership was so beneficial, and then decided to leave the account ******************. Cancel means Cancel, not list membership benefits, and wait for me to respond. So in a nutshell, this is how Active Network operates:1. Trickery/deception to sign up members during their payment process. Hopefully the membership email they send you doesn't go into spam or unnoticed before the 30-day trial expires.2. When asked to cancel, they respond with a list of benefits and ask you to reconsider.3. When you don't respond to #2, they keep your membership active hoping you won't notice.4. At the end of the 30-day trial, they bill you.I see that there is an active lawsuit against ACTIVE Network filed in 10/2022 by the ***** Clearly it is not having an impact on their deceptive practices. Possibly a cease & desist would be good.

Do not sign up for any event that uses Active Advantage. They will scam you into signing up for a membership that costs $89.95! The bank couldnt even identify the charge because the company doesnt use their name on the reoccurring charge, which I believe is purposeful of the company.

ANOTHER complaint for this deceitful company. I awoke this morning to read my emails and found that I had been CHARGED $99.95 for "automatic" yearly renewal. Looked like a "event" company for 10K races which I haven't run in years, I was trying to figure out how the **** I "joined" this company and how they had my information. When I investigated it turns out it was for my kids football league registration! What a piece of c*** this sleaze company must be as I have been reading online the same thing has been happening to thousand of others consumers out there! BBB has provided a phone number for this company but as previous reviewer stated it's "conveniently out of order" so working with their "on-line customer service." Then, the company's TURN OFF ANNUAL RENEWAL and CANCEL policies nicely hidden an multi-stepped" process "deceitfully designed!" Just received an email from them and assigned a "case" number. Since I "caught" on first day" of so-called "renewal" I want my FULL $99.95 BACK. I will post back my hopeful "positive" outcome with this "company." Can you image with the thousands of consumers and sports leagues that use this company, a $100 a year multiplied by let's say ****** "duped" consumers, that's no small piece of change!

This company is tacked on the races, mudruns, etc. they show and initial price for protecting your registration for a race or refund protection. However, in the small print they charge you $89.95 after about a month for their premium membership! This is predatory hidden fees. Theres no number to contact and speak to a human. Ive emailed and gotten a case number with no response beyond an email. Ive contacted my bank to stop payment which also means my credit card will be to be cancelled and replaced for $50. My bank suggested trying to work it out with the company first before cancelling my card. I have send a second complaint and was given another case number because their are experiencing high than usual customer service request! Wonder why?!
