I was scheduled to have a flight with AA on 7/30/25. When this flight was booked, I did not have any intentions of ever canceling my flight. However due to recent world events, I have felt unsafe to fly and requested to be refund. Not only did AA not care about concerns, they refused to refund my flight. This was an unpredictable circumstance that was out of my control. Very unhappy and unsatisfied with the service I have received

Twice on the same trip American cancelled or rescheduled our flights due to maintenance but said it was weather so they wouldn't have to refund us! We lost out on thousands of dollars of prepaid activities in *********!

We scheduled a flight that was cancelled and should have had a one year travel voucher. Shortly over half a year later we went to try to use the travel voucher and, due to system error, they said the voucher was only good for one year. After calling AA they said the voucher SHOULD have been issued for one year, and that there was an issue with their system, and that we should file a complaint using their online portal. After filing three complaints with their online portal the only response we got back was a glorified "thank you for choosing AA" and they refused to extend the voucher from six months to one year. $350 down the drain due to error on their side they refused to make right.

I flew from *** to *** on a direct 1.5-hour flight and checked in my baggage. Upon arrival, I was informed that my baggage was ********** the ** baggage office in ***, I asked for help setting up delivery. The staff member seemed annoyed, yelled at me to ****** it, and offered no assistance. I was dismissed from the office without help. After several failed attempts with **s automated phone system, I reached someone via chat who assured me the baggage would be delivered. Over the course of my 4-day trip, I contacted chat support multiple times. Each time I was told delivery would occur within 24 hours from each contact time.On the third day, I was finally being told to call ***** myself to expedite the process. ***** informed me that while ** created a shipping label, no pickup was scheduled. I went back to the *** baggage office to retrieve my bag and encountered another rude employee. After returning home, I filed complaints and was told I could request reimbursement for expenses related to the baggage delay. However, parking fees at the airportincurred because I had to pick up my bag myselfare not *************** concerns:A delay on a short direct flight is hard to justify.Being yelled at by an ** employee in uniform is unacceptable.Multiple delivery promises were made but never fulfilled.I was told to manage delivery myself, despite this being **s responsibility.I had to pick up the baggage myself and pay airport parking out of pocket while ** advertised delayed baggage will be delivered for free. This experience was unprofessional, frustrating, and disappointing from start to finish.

Iberia Airlines and American AirlinesYou Failed UsThis trip was supposed to be special. It was my sons birthday. Instead, it turned into a complete nightmarebecause of indifference, incompetence, and zero accountability from both Iberia and American Airlines. We booked through American Airlines, paid extra to select seats. Then learned we had to pay again because the international leg was operated by ******. Fine. We paid twice to ensure my familymy wife and our two young boyscould sit together on our way to *******But it all unraveled in ******Our flight from *********** to ****** was delayed two hours. We begged the gate agent to help uswe were terrified wed miss our connection. She promised wed be fine. We actually landed in ****** early. But then we were trapped on the tarmac for nearly an hour while American sorted out another flights ********** the time we got to a gate, it was a frantic race. We ranpanting, dragging our kidsover a mile across the airport. Made it to the *********** with the plane still ********* Iberia employee flatly said, Youre too late. Another staff member argued back, The plane is still here. They can make it. But the first womancurly red hair, cold demeanorrefused. She shut the gate. Shut us out. No empathy. No effort. Just a shrug. We were stranded. No help from ******. No help from American. Hours on the phone. No accountability. Eventually got rebooked a day laterwith no seats and no one willing to help. Had to pay for a hotel. A rental car. Missed birthday memories. And the kicker? No one will even tell us where our luggage is.Its not just bad customer serviceits disrespect. Its broken systems and people who don't care. @Iberia @AmericanAiryou owe us more than silence.

I have an $800 credit for a first class seat on a flight that was canceled due to weather. It is impossible to redeem it online, or by calling on the phone. I spent an hour on Chat only to be told I had to call customer service. Then I spent over 2 hours on hold (their estimated wait time) and no one ever answered my call. In addition, the credit was back dated one month before my canceled flight so I had only 11 months rather than a year as promised to redeem. It is a deceptive business practice to doctor the issue date because obviously it was NOT issued BEFORE I attempted to travel. I have frequent flyer status on ****** and Delta, and I never have to call to redeem unused funds in my account - I can always apply online. I have also had a very positive experience recently with United rebooking flights - they answer the phone. I would give American Airlines zero stars if that was possible. I will never, ever fly with them again. I do not give business to companies that steal their customers' money.

My first flight was canceled due to mechanical issues, sounds good at first, but then they trick me into going to *****, because its the fastest way home. Then they trap me in ***** and cancel my flight home. Now I have to wait for hours to get my bag back and theres people from several flights walking back and forth from carousel to carousel trying to find their bags. This airline is a disorganized mess. Thats why Im flying home on Delta.

First flight was delayed and arrived late. Missed the connecting flight because of it. Had to wait 8 hours for the next flight and the compensation is a $12 food voucher. You cant even buy lunch for $12 in the airport. What a bunch of crap!!Wont fly with this airline again. ??

After delaying her flight more than 15 hours, AA graciously offered my girlfriend a $12 food and drink voucher. Thanks American Airlines for your gracious offer.

Id leave zero stars if it was an option. This airline cancelled a flight after several hours of delays due to the plane being too hot(for six hours.), forcing my wife and young child to scramble to find a hotel to stay in overnight in *******, and with no promise of a voucher or refund. AA further informed my wife that the next available flight was at 10pm the following night. Why the h*** they couldnt cool the plane with the onboard apu is beyond me, other than they just wanted to save money. All of my attempts to get the brought to customer service were a joke, the phone wait was over two hours and the online chat was just a bot. Avoid this airline if at all possible.
