      They disconnected my service because over a 75 dollar bill which had increased two times the normal amount in which I had to pay 75 and 150 dollars extra because of reconnecting fees and down payment fees that’s was tacked on and not to mention I still had to pay the remaining balance of 150 on the next bill even though I practically paid off the bill. Also when I scheduled same day reconnection the technician came out but didn’t ring the doorbell and lied and said he did and now I’m still being charged a same day reconnection fee even though they are not coming until two days later. I will definitely be switching companies once I pay off remaining balance

      They are not taking care of them costumers our experience was a disaster they desconeted my gas service with 1 day previous past due
      I paid after desconected the service and scheduled next day I been wait all day I confirmed 2 calls I on the house the technician arrived and just hang the notification never ring the bell we have smart ring bell he said ring the bell severals times it not true we are without gas on the house not heater not shower not cooking cos a technician fault
      Also they don't work under the weekend we are without the service all weekend and cold conditions that really unacceptable cos the gas very important for us specially we have kids in the house they are working 5 days a week this united states they have get technician for this kind of situation and worse is the gas meter is by side of the house is easy access but they have Unprofessional technician this company is a disaster and we don't have options cos they monopoly the gas service

We do offer payment alerts that allow our customers to be notified via email or text five days before the bill is due via our self-service portal or customer service.       Centerpoint Energy took our gas meter without warning or any reason. Payments have been up to date. My husband was told 3 different answers as to why. If there is fraud then it would be with a centerpoint employee. We never said we were moving or we are switching to another company. No gas leaks. No reason at all to take away the meter. We have a child at home. We depend on our gas heaters to stay warm. It is freezing & no one cares to help or tell us what is going on to help this matter!

      An electical connection ticket was submitted on Thursday 1-19-2023 by service provider and is not connected yet.
      I called in today 1-24-2023 and they tell me is a 3-5 day from today before they can reconnect since it just got approved (5 days later).
      Very unacceptable customer service.

      I scheduled reconnection services for my gas on 1/20/23. I used the self serve which stated the technician would call 30 minutes before arrival. I received one call from centerpoint. I answered the phone, but wasn’t able to hear anyone. I patiently waited for the second. The call never came through. I called centerpoint back to check the status of my reconnection. The representative name Shawn assisted me. He was nonchalant and cold. When I asked to speak with a supervisor he refused to transfer me. He gave me the number to corporate which was the customer service center for electric. I began to be transferred by the next two representatives. I have newborns in my home and took off of work to wait for the technician. They never knock on the door or rung my door bell. It’s sad that we are forced to use one company that offers poor customer service. The organization knows you have to use them so they refuse to treat their customers right. The technician didn’t follow company policy. Now I have to wait 4 days in the cold with gas.

      To whom it may concern,
      I have been waiting to get electric services connected to my multi family. I spent hours on the phone for months now to simply get continuously dismissed and disregarded by every rep. No one has been helpful at all. I sent endless emails/ calls / voicemails to the service consultant that was assigned to my building(Jazden *****). I asked endlessly to get an update on an assigned date as I have waited for months, and I have tenants waiting for an update. It is absolutely ridiculous that this company has unprofessional and dismissive people, including management. I will see what I can do to file a claim on missing revenue at this point. This is absolutely unacceptable, to say the least.

      This company owns the monopoly on gas in Houston unfortunately. They believe the rest of the world does not work a Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm job as they require a working person to take off the entire day to reconnect their services. What a terrible company! May you big wigs be without warm water and heat in 30 degree weather ??!

      Shut off our gas, no phone voicemail or email. They claim to have called, but don't leave a voicemail. The only thing they did was send mail to the address that I don't live at. They don't have an automated payment system unless you give them all your bank info. Poor customer service, they told me I can convert to propane if I want.

      If there was another gas provider in the area we would switch. Unfortunately we are stuck dealing with them. "Unless I convert to propane" - what a joke.

      I'm 65 my memory is not what it was twenty years ago, I didn't pay my bill and they disconnected my gas for 69 dollars on 12/30/22 I paid the bill the day plus one hundred dollar deposit & a reconnecting fee, all together $185, then I'm told that someone will be there on 1/03/23 to turn on the gas. It's winter I have no heat or hot water, I can't cook or shower for 4 days, that's inhumane especially when I paid the same day.

      I tried to start the service through their online portal. When I tried to complete the process their website crashed couple of times. However I received an email confirmation that my account was created and an appointment is set. Nobody showed up for the appointment in my new rental house on the day of my move in. I called few times to reach out to a customer rep who told me that my appointment was cancelled as I didn’t pay a deposit. Nowhere in the process I was told about it. Their website crashed, I have email confirmation on the appointment, I called their number couple of times to get the appointment confirmation and their auto voice responder confirmed my appointment. I am in my new rental home with no gas and since it is a long weekend they can’t help me for next 3 days. How come a consumer has to put up for their website and process shortcomings. They should send a text at least about the pending deposit or mention it in the email that I received on appointment confirmation or they should have alerted me about it when I called them seeking appointment confirmation two days prior. Now I have to stay in a hotel with my family for New Year’s Eve and it will cost me $500. We need to ensure that they fix their process, communication and system and compensate consumers for their shortcomings.

When establishing service via the online portal there are times when a deposit is due. During the order process, it does provide the total amount due and payment options available. If the payment is not made before the scheduled appointment date the order is subject to cancellation for non-payment.
