      Had to wait 5 days to get an appointment. I understand it was a holiday weekend but still frustrating. They closed the Friday before Christmas and the Monday after which is excessive when you’re the only gas provider in an area. No one showed up or called for my appointment on Tuesday. I called in the morning on Wednesday and asked when someone would be out. It’s now an hour before they close and I still haven’t heard anything.
      I try to be understanding but communication should be the bare minimum when you are the only provider in town. Not a great experience and wish there was another option.

      Centerpoint energy gas no compassiom for the small fellow. The weekend following hard freeze they are out disconnecting gas and than have the audacity to day they dont have enough people to cut on gas until a day and a half later. Peopke just got done dealing with busted water lines n no electricity. Show some compassion

      I have been a customer with Center Point for a very long time. I called Center Point Energy on 11/22/22 concerning charges for 11/13/22 - 11/19/22. (Center Point is over charging me for electricity). The projected cost for this month is between $200.00 - $235.00, when I was not there. Previous months for: September 2022 was $35.00 - October 2022 was $71.69 - November 2022 was $74.28 now being told that December 2022 will be between $200.00 - $235.00.
      This is unacceptable.... I received my weekly summary for week of 11/13/22-11/19/22 stating the usage was 534.7 kwh this week which cost $82.47 ($65.69 more than last weeks total, and the projected cost for this month is $200.00-$235.00 (Again I was not there).
      11/23/22 called and spoke with someone at Center Point Energy, and explain to them that the charge was impossible because I was not there for that week and the only thing that was on was the refrigerator. He did some investigation on his end and saw where there was a large increase. I requested for a meter test and also requested that some one notify me when coming out so I could be there. He said some one would contact me on Friday 11/25/22, that did not happen. I called on Monday 11/28 and was told that they have up to 15 days to come out. Called again on Dec. 5, 22 and was told that someone had already been out and your meter test was fine. I stated I requested to be contacted, the customer service person told me I don't know what to tell you. (Poor Customer Service) . I called to speak with a manager and was on hold for over 30 minutes, the manager would not speak to me, but relayed a message by the customer service person Tamika that they don't have to contact me before coming out. Management is rude and Center Point is taking advantage of me as a customer and over charging me for usage that is not being used. This is theft and illegal.

      I spoke to a customer service agent before 9 am this morning. She told me the amount to needed to have my services restored. I paid that exact amount. Was told I must be at my home when they arrive. It is now 9:15pm and no one has shown up to my house to reconnect my services. Very poor service. I am so angry right now. I feel as though I was lied to.

      Physically moved our household goods into our new home in Houston area on November 10th. Appointment was set up and verified via email for Friday November 11th to turn natural gas on. Called customer service at 5PM on Friday November 11th to see if their technician was still coming to turn the gas on. I was informed their workflow is to mail you a bill for the initial account setup....to the NEW address that you don't have access to. Upon not receiving payment ahead of time, they cancel your appointment without notifying you (even though they have an email address on file and it had been previously utilized). I asked if they would send someone out because it is below cold outside. I was told they do not provide same day service and they do not work the weekends. Due to their deplorable business practices during winter, My wife and I had the 'luxury' of living with my 4 and 1 year old children in a frigid house while bathing in ice cold water until they could come out on Monday November 14th at their leisure. If I could give less than one star on this, I wouldn't hesitate to do so.

      I am a new customer to Centerpoint Energy. I called all day yesterday to get my services turned on for the next day (today). The phones were down for maintenance all day. I called today to get my services turned on and they are charging me a $45 for a same day fee. I think it is absurd that I have to pay a same day fee when they did not answer the phones yesterday for me to make an appointment for today. I asked to speak to a manager and still have yet to hear from anyone. Unacceptable.

      My Electricity went out 5 times in one day and made a loud noise every time. After the electricity went out several times in one day my refrigerator stopped working because of the electricity issue. They said if anything stopped working I could call and claim the issue but instead they’re not willing to fix the problem. Also has terrible customer service and they want me to pay so much for zero service. I don’t recommend this company to anyone.

      Many of our neighborhoods have been affected with our electricity "glitching" every day. Centerpoint came to my door, showed him the list of everyone that was affected. He was a smug young guy that tried to fluff this off. Stated he would tell his boss, I said, inform your boss IF this continues into next week, my husband is writing the Texas Utility Commission to get to the bottom of WHY??? so many of us are being affected??

      Our gas line started leaking 2 months ago and we called centerpoint out to come fix the issue and we just got our gas back on today. We were without hot water for 2 months because centerpoint is unable to communicate properly. My fiancé went on a deployment right after the gas line began leaking so I was to only person that could be contacted about this issue which I told centerpoint multiple times. Every time I called to get an update many of the employees were rude, no one knew what was going on and they could not give me any information. I called multiple times and asked for the information to the contractor that was replacing the line and they would not give it to me until finally I sent an angry email to centerpoint and one of the centerpoint employees responded telling me to take up any issues I had with Digco (the contractor doing the work). I called Digco and they said they have been trying for weeks to call us to get the service scheduled and couldn’t reach us. They couldn’t reach us because they were trying to call my fiancé which centerpoint failed to tell them that he was unable to be contacted and I was to be the main contact. Multiple times throughout the two months there were workers going in and out of my backyard to do and redo markings and would carelessly leave my gate open and my dogs would get out. I am beyond frustrated with centerpoint and would transfer to a different provider if I could.

We understand how frustrating the process can be. Upon reviewing your account we show that an order to reset your meter was completed on 09/22/2022. The complete process for these types of orders they are generally completed within 20-30 days workload permitting. I show that the permit has been received and the new meter has now been installed.
