      September 11, 2024 This is the second day for unconnection. They came early. That was good. We called CenterPoint at 3:45pm, yesterday, for a reconnection. We got a standby generator and new breaker box. It is now 9:18 am, and still have not seen them. Going on 18 hours. Unacceptable! When we called them the first time, for unconnection, they did not send two people. It could not be done. They showed up later, the same day, and it was too late. CenterPoint service is horrible.

      I'm not sure why the Houston community got so hard on the line men we are on center point and lost power for 5 days and we wasn't complaining because them guys are great at what they do and we do appreciate them a lot. Thanks for everything center point.
      People so y'all get down hard on them guys just remember if it wasn't for them we couldn't have power SO THINK NEXT TIME THEY ARE OUT THERE WORKING

      8 days no power, really not a big deal.
      Eating peanut butter on bread and drinking hot water because there's no ice to be had. Power comes on I'm not excited at all. I wait 5 days, buy food for the refrigerator and freezer. Power immediately goes out, it's been out for about a day. Now I have to throw all these groceries away. I hope this company fails and goes out of business and you all lose your jobs. Have a wonderful day, I'm not.

      Whatever you didn’t do to avoid this much outages and damage. I’ve heard many things. At this point I’m confident they are ALL true. It just shouldn’t take this long. 8 days no power in the hottest month of summer. Food is ruined and can’t afford to replace it all much less pay your rates for the bill. I mean somebody has to be last to get power and you made sure it was Kingwood.. hats off to the linemen out there though. This debacle falls on the leaders who made sure they got there bonuses. When I was young, I would see companies cutting away foliage, trees, limbs, from power lines. I guess the City, CenterPoint and HOAs can’t figure out who’s actually financially responsible for performing the preventive maintenance so y’all just let it go? Right? Welp, ?????????? THANKS. Thank you for the ** you putting us through. Much of this could have been better handled. Outages are expected but 8 days with no power in this heat after paying what we pay and watching the CEO MAKE ABOUT 7 million and the company report it’s very high profits.. YEAH, if I could only say what I want.

      CenterPoint Energy is so unorganized, why didn't anyone pre-plan for this event? You only had a week to get crews into place in case of us getting hit by Beryl and sat back and did nothing. When we lost power years ago with the freeze, I thought our grid would be over-hauled, and fixed so that Texans wouldn't lose their lives due to extreme heat or cold. Again, nothing was done so your Presidents, VPs, Greg ****** and Dan ******* could get their yearly bonuses. I know we live in Texas and no one is ever held accountable, but for the first time, CenterPoint should be held responsible for being such a ****** company. This corruption MUST END!

      Not worthy enough to hold a position for many, and take home millions of dollars as remuneration from taxpayer dollars.Paying taxes for utilities and the company has a monopoly in the utility (power and gas) business. Failed to monitor wisely and take enough precautions before and after a disaster struck the area. Asking citizens to have patience while laziness continues. A terrible slap!

      I have now been without power for 1 week from Beryl. Centerpoint continues to lie that my area is energized, when half of my apartment complex (200+ people affected) are without power. They continue to give vague answers about when the problem will be fixed, simply stating that "a crew is being assembled." This is ridiculous in Texas Summer and puts lives at risk.

      They knew about hurricane beryl for 2 weeks... they did nothing to prepare for it I've been out of power for a week straight along with 2.1 million other people all because the ceo doesn't wanna pay the out of town lineman but wants to sit there and tell us to keep our air at 70 degrees while you have elderly and sick people out here with no power... I would give them a zero star if I could because they should have been way more prepared than they are

      I am an electrical contractor and you are all just getting to see the face of Centerpoint I see every time I call in they do not answer the phone you have to talk to a computer or leave a message and hope somebody calls you back they have dozens of offices around the city where nobody will answer the phone or be responsible for anything I have waited weeks to hear back from their representatives and now I'm waiting a week for my power to be turned back on. If Centerpoint had a single competitor they would be out of business in a week.
