CenterPoint has fumbled a power outage at the highest level and they are lying about their efforts.
Prior to Hurricane Beryl, they did not stage any out of state or in state resources to come support as the storm past so they got a late start on the repairs. Once the out of state resources did come in, they kept them tied up in safety trainings and pay negotiations (trying to haggle) which kept the linemen sitting around for many hours in parking lots waiting for orders. Once they did start working, they said the linemen are working round the clock. We see workers coming in after the first of the morning and leaving before the sun goes down, There is no overnight work going on. On 7/11, they sent out messages to people on my power grid saying that we will have power by end of day 7/12. That did not happen and there was no communication to say it was going to be delayed. Others in my neighborhood has called in and spoke to representatives and they are saying that they don't know when our restorations are going to be complete. We cannot get accurate information. Houston is known for its terrible grid and it is due to Centerpoint's incompetence. They don't do anything to make our grid better to where when there is storms, it is not as drastic as it is now.
Their communications director got on the local news and completely lied to Houstonians face and could not give basic information on what efforts were happening.
They need to be held accountable for their incompetence and leaving so many vulnerable people in the dark. People are dying on their watch, crime is on the rise and traffic is our of control. They are doing minimal effort to get this done.
This is not a linemen/worker issue, it is an executive issue that is crippling their effort.CenterPoint Energy, LLC

No power for 5 days, no estimated repair date, looking at a minimum of 2 more weeks in the dark in 83-100 degrees. Can't sleep losing 3000$ worth of insulin due to heat. They may aswell be choking the life out of me at this point and what can I do about it....CenterPoint Energy, LLC

5 days no power after a Cat 1. WE STAND NO CHANCE of a quick recovery from a larger storm if these people are left in charge. Centerpoint Energy and its rapacious corporate rats are going to feel the tide of change. CEO, Jason ***** sitting in front of a 70°thermostat has the unmitigated gaul to tell us to conserve energy. Never in my life have I had such unreliable service. I have lived in 4 different states, both rural towns and metro cities, all over different parts of Texas, and houston centerpoint is by far the worst I've ever had to deal with. I was on the Alabama coast during 2 hurricanes and never lost power. With centerpoint a little thunderstorm hits and you're blacked out for hours. Even when they repair it you're bount to lose power again within 24 hours.CenterPoint Energy, LLC

I would put zero stars if I could. Nobody is there and NOBODY cares. Someone needs to be documenting where the outages still exist yet NOONE will answer a phone.

It’s been 60hours sense hurricane beryl has come through and not even one truck has shown up to our neighborhood. We have three broken telephone poles in the middle of the street with multiple wires over neighbors driveways. Block them from leaving. One telephone pole is still laying on top a car.. no help no time line for help. Worst company. If I could give negative 5 stars I would.CenterPoint Energy, LLC

1 starTHE WORST ENERGY COMPANY EVER! I WOKE UP TO MY SERVICES DISCONNECTED THIS MORNING WHEN I PAID FOR CONNECTION OF SERVICE ON THE 27th OF JUNE! I AM CONTINUOUSLY CALLING COMPLAINING BECAUSE I HAVE A MACHINE THAT HAS TO BE PLUGGED UP EVERY DAY! THEY ARE STATING THEY CAN NOT PUT IT AS A PRIORITY TO CUT MY SERVICE BACK ON! WHY NOT WHEN YOU GUYS MISTAKENLY TURNED MY SERVICE OFF! THEY ARE NOT TRYING TO CREDIT MY BILL OR COMPENSATE ME IN ANY WAY! I JUST MADE GROCERIES YESTERDAY AND MY FOOD WILL GO BAD WITHOUT POWER!
