My property was damaged on 12/13/2023 by three trucks and one trailer. I have three quotes ranging from $53,000 to $46,000 dollars and still not fixed. They have just offed $15,000, what a joke. I'm looking for an attorney because I'm going to have to sue them. I don't understand Wey the citizens have to put up with this company. We need a choice who we do business with and this company would have to close. I don't even feel like a customer. It's time for *** ***** ****** ********* ********** to be responsible for this mess or replace them NOW. I think the *** needs to be investigated for corruption and being in cahoots with *** and them getting kickbacks.
P.S. Now BBB Is making me give them a 1 star rating before I can post this, they don't even deserve a 1 star?CenterPoint Energy, LLC

Upon further review of your account our claims department has reviewed your claim thoroughly and an offer to repair the damages were made but denied. A third-party appraiser was utilized to appraise the alleged damages on the property. An offer was made for the value of the cost of the repairs (Based on the appraisal), and we offered to send a third-party to make the repairs. Unfortunately, the offer was declined and additional compensation outside of the alleged damages were requested. The amount offered was aligned with your assessment of the yard damage. At this time, no additional compensation outside of the cost of the necessary repairs can be awarded. Center Point, employee came out to my home, due to a cable wires were hanging on the ground, however the electrician stated, that was not electrical wire but cable wire and was not dangerous.
The rep then stated, that they have to change the drop, and showed me how the wire was damage, however after it was changed, now mind you I did not call about any electrical problem with my home, everything was working, now no power in any part of my house, but one room and central heat, no kitchen , bath rooms, bed room, hallway light are on. I have been here for 24 years, and never had a problem with center point. Then the electrician check all the breaker box, fuse, and said, I don't know what to tell you, all I did was change the wiring, I said but everything was working before you went up the pole and changed. There were two men electricians and the older white guy, was very rude, raising his voice he drove, ***** ****** he refuse to give me his name, what company allow worker to come on customers property and don't have to provide their name, when you are doing customer service, he raised his voice with me, would not let me talk and very bad listener. I feel I have been scam, you offer to repair, the break something else and now I need a election. Center point have cause me money, a retiree, that I could not afford, now I am sitting in the dark. ****** ** ****** ***** ******* ******* ****** ********* after center point work on changing out wirier, then you need a electrician, that could be good business for the scammer. I felt he showed no compassion and was a ***** *** ****** Please report and get their truck #. I see this is a pattern with center point, I wonder is they only doing **** ** ****** ** ****** ***** ******* keep putting in your complaint, we may have a class action law suit.CenterPoint Energy, LLC

1 starI had partial power outage Jan 29,2023 and called centerpoint. They sent a tech out said he would be no later than 8:30pm he got here closer to 9:30pm said he checked everything and it was the drop cables and to hire an electrician. We get an electrician out and they say to call centerpoint back. We did and they said they already determined it was the drop cables. We get another electrician out and he says he needs to see what the centerpoint tech is seeing from the main box that is in my neighbors yard. The neighbor then shows us the tech did not even check the main transformer and just said it was the drop cables responsibility of the home owner. From the first time they said they would not send any techs out and had to do the drop cable change. I filed a complaint with PUC because they charged me to send a tech out that didnt do anything and i had to pay two electricians who were requesting a tech to come out. I then get a call from a supervisor Carlos and he is calling me because of the complaint. He asks me to explain and says let me stop you there. His tone was so rude and curt. When i made him aware his tone needed to change he was like i been speaking like this. Then threatened to disconnect my light for unsafe use if i dont fix the issue with in 30 days. Which if he let me finish and get anything out before cutting me off several times he would know it was being done because they didnt give me a choice. I have never in my entire adult life dealt with such ugly behavior from a supervisor no less. I up until then was very calm and not disrespectful what so ever to anyone. I wish I could rate this business with zero stars.I have been a loyal CenterPoint customer for as long as I have owned my home which is approximately 19 years. In this time, I have rarely been late with paying my bill. Recently, Iwas late due to no access to my mail. I was not aware that my services had been shut off, until two of my family members reported that their shower would not warm. I, immediately called in verified payment and paod the balance and a $50 same day reconnect fee ladt Thursday. When I paid an automated message informed me thatthe company had what equated to an 11 hour window to recoonect services and that I would receive a call 30 minutes prior to the tech's arrival. I, immediately phone for a customer representative. I explained I am a single parent andI worked over an houra way from my home. I told the rep the 30 mins heads up call would not work for me. I then shared that I am home in the evening time.She told me she'd note the account but could not guarantee the appointment time. I, intercepted the 30 min arrival call. I immediately called a second rep, re-told them my situation. I did not receive another call. I came home amd waoted for tech, no one showed I called in Friday, as my services weren't reconnected as paid for. The rep argued me downstating I would not receive the $50 refunded as a connection was made. He also stated tjere would not be a reconnect on Saturday. I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supv was equally as rude and argumentative. However, he stated he would schedule myreconnection for Saturday from 1pm to 5pm. Approx 30 min later the rep called back stating they could not reconnect services on Saturday because wknds are reserved for emergency gas needs. At this time I fell silent as I was disappointed with the lack of professionalism and courtesy. To add insult to injiry the tone of the reps voice was happy to share this info with me. Also I heard laughing in the background. Now, I will be off work for reconnect.CenterPoint Energy, LLC

Travis ******** and his apprentice Ramon ***** came out to my hair salon and fixed the problem we were having with surging. They were absolutely great! Travis listened to me and truly cared about getting the problem fixed, after I had been told in December it was not on CentetPoints side by another technician and advised me to call electrician. Electrician, Sean with ********* was great also but, he did everything he could and told me it had to be on center points side. Travis talked directly to my electrician and was able to fix the problem that was on Centerpoints side all along. Thank you Travis! I requested a refund from services not rendered and not needed and it took a month just to get a response from them. Once the response was given now it’s another 4 to 6 weeks before I get my money back for the services is not rendered. I have spoke with other people that have dealt with Centerpoint energy and they warned me of how terrible the customer services and their response times as far as getting a hold of somebody refunds getting somebody to do work. I am supposedly finally getting my return but I have to wait another month and a half to get it.CenterPoint Energy, LLC

I wasted 20 minutes on the phone with Centerpoint Energy *** *** **** where instead of being able to pay my bill, was forced into an excessively annoying "medical device" sales pitch. I just wanted to pay my bill and that's it. Finally had to log in under a guest account on their website to pay it. ALSO don't try to use **** * it will not work. SO annoying. This is a complaint against Centerpoint Energy ln ***** ****** ********* ‘
Concerning gas shut off to customer without proper notification . Company inform notices had been sent out by mail that customer never received to start with .. Customer comes home and figures out that gas was off and checked the outside service and finds gas off and meter laying on thre ground . Calls the Centerpoint Energy service and they claim Customer owes a two hundred dollar negative amount that has not been found online . We the customer have always paid the amount due for the month online and have been paying on time . This business needs to be dealt with in a firm manner for shutting off service especially in cold weather where people depend on service with a six month old baby that they show no concern what so ever for ! This is no way to conduct a business and it needs immediate attention please if at all possible …. I got a divorce and was awarded the house, the bill was in my ex-name so I called to switch the account in my name. I was told I have to get a new account, the auto draft comes out off my account for more than 10 years, the house deed and loan was in both names so I don’t understand why I have to pay for the initiation for a new account. All the other utility companies are asking for the divorce decree as proof and my ID, what is wrong with CenterPoint Energy? I wish I had another gas company I would have certainly go with them because I feel like I’m taken advantage off right now.CenterPoint Energy, LLC

I signed up for device plus and was very dis satisfied with the service limitations and wanted to quit the service. I was then told that I had a one year obligation. At that point, I told them to discontinue when the obligation was met. Bring on autopay, I did not pay attention and they continued to bill me for good amount of time. When I realized what was going on, l made 2 attempts to be refunded for the period of time that I should’ve been charged and was twice denied.CenterPoint Energy, LLC
