They have routinely put out three black boxes of blue colored bait. I came home, let my dog and and a minute or so later went outside and found him eating the bait out of an open box. The employee had left one of the boxes open. Since the bait will cause an animal to bleed out internally, I needed to get my dog to the vet immediately so the could make her throw up. The bill was $457. Without prompting, the vet said there was a lot of blue material in her stomach. I explained the situation to a customer service guy named ****** and he said he didn't see how that could happen. I assured him a dog is not capable of opening one of those "child proof" boxes and the only explanation was employee error. They refused to pay the bill, but did offer the next visit ($60) for free. I asked to talk to his manager and he refused. Had I not gone out and observed my dog eating this stuff, I may never have known she did and she might well have died. I am angry at their insinuation it didn't happen and not only would I not recommend this company, this kind of thing could happen to any of your animals as well. I suggest you find another company before it does happen to your dog.Moxie Pest Control, LP

Total scam. Door to door sales guys gives heavy pitch. Sign contract. Two applications with no change. I communicate to cancel with no response. Then they call with automated collection recordings. Then they send email twice and I explain the situation and they don't respond but the recordings continue, over and over. All over $150. Then it repeats and I explain that Im not paying for service not provided and crickets. Now it started all over again. Total scam. Any normal company is not going to try to collect a mere $150 from an unhappy customer because then they just leave a bad review. And if you look at their reviews apparently I'm not alone! I apologize that you've had such a negative experience with our company. I'm not sure where we lost you in communication. In our notes it looks like you cancelled with us on 11/21 around 9AM stating "Cancel this service please".We responded with a return email that same day: "Good Afternoon,This is KB with Joshuas Pest Control. I see you reached out wishing to possibly discontinue services with us. I wish to discuss your account with you. If you could please contact me at **************, I would greatly appreciate it. I look forward to speaking with you.As always we appreciate your business! We really value your feedback. If there is anything else we can do to provide a better service, we would love to hear from you!Sincerely, KB Joshuas Pest Control"We also placed a phone call at the main contact number that you had been texting us from and left a voicemail. On 12/2/22 there's an email sent from you: "What's the cancellation policy". We sent a return email that same day stating: Good Afternoon,This is Joshua's Pest Control. We just ask for the initial discount back from the first service and your amount would only be $150.00 to cancel. If you completed the 5 services we would not ask for the initial discount back. You have only completed 2 out of the 5 services. If you do have questions or concerns please call me at **************.Thank you,KB with Joshua's Pest Control"Afterwards we have numerous attempts at contact with no response after this. There are no notes pertaining to a persistent pest issue, but please know that if there is one, pest control is a process. If you have a massive issue then you are warrantied for free. This company misrepresented what we were agreeing to and paying for I had tried to bump an appointment due to the deep snow and then got a call from *************** saying he had cancelled our account since he wouldn't be able to get 3 more services in before the one year ***** And he would be charging us $160 for not completing our agreement . Our understanding was that we could cancel at any time. now **** says we agreed to 5 services in a year or we owe $160 penalty which we were not aware of, nor do we authorize an additional charge for services not received.Moxie Pest Control, LP

I'm so sorry that you had a poor experience with us. We try to make our service agreement as concise as possible and narrowed it down to about 1 page front and back. It is for 5 services. We've attempted to come out to service but you've denied a service for over 6 months. If you don't finish the agreement we simply ask back the initial discount on the 1st service.Please don't hesitate to call us back if you have other questions.Review fromLarry B

Do not use this company. They are so overpriced and I have not seen any improvement with the bugs in my backyard.They recently came out and tested for termites and I was told there was active termites around my home. I've had two other companies come out and there is no active termites. They try to get you to sign up for costly ***** for termites. I have tried canceling my contract but was told I could not cancel and if I chose not to pay they would report it. My neighbor has had similar issues with this company. I am so sorry that you had a poor experience with our company. When you sign up with us you are 100% warrantied for free for any sort of persistent issues. It is common for people to need follow up treatments, all we need is to hear from you. Our termite inspector noted activity in the mulch area of your home. We apologize if there was a miscommunication or diagnosis as we are not trying to hamstring any of our customers. 1 starDeceptive, deceitful and all around a terrible company. Had a tech come inspect our attic as per their maintenance. He stated we had an extreme infestation and that my children were breathing toxic fumes from all the mice and rat droppings in my attic. Pressured me to sign a contract for $20,000+ in work. When I said Id like to discuss with my husband first he told me hed wait in the driveway until I was ready to sign. Told him no thank you and he still sat outside my house for an hour anyways. Found out the termite inspector who quoted ** work had been fired for lying and falsifying findings. Finally cancelled all contracts. Told my account manager I would need to be present when they arrived to remove termite control devices. Techs arrived without a phone call to me, entered my fenced in yard without my consent, lefts holes all over my yard and my gate unlatched while I have a dog. This company does not live up to any promises, provides less than subpar services and is not worth anything near what we paid. The services provided are laughable and ineffective.Review fromJulie O

Do not use this company! For about 5 years for normal pest control services. a year or two ago, they convinced us to install $1800 worth of termite bait stations as a preventive measure, even though we had never seen a termite or evidence. They never put out mice bait stations until we called to complain about mice around the house. They then asked to do a "free attic inspection" and tried to convince us we needed to replace blown in insulation with "their foam insulation" that was better for $16,000! Claimed mice urine would cause harmful mold! I called to cancel service and they informed me they would be out to remove the termite bait stations. When I asked what the $1800 I paid was for, they offered to send me their "agreement". Beware of this company and their unprofessional sales tactics!Moxie Pest Control, LP

****** household we are so sorry that you have had a poor experience with our company. Termites cause billions of damage per year to homes across *****************. We sell preventative systems daily to people who want to protect their homes. We aren't sure why you are upset with us about signing up for the service as a preventative measure, but apologize for any sour feelings that have come from that.The attic inspection is a free service to take out and replace your insulation with a superior spray foam product. A cursory search will show you without a doubt that mice droppings and urine can and DO cause mold in attics. It can also weaken the overall structure of the attic. Furthermore, mold attracts other bugs like roaches, and also has a pheromone scent that will lead other animals to enter the attic in the future. Please, I encourage you to do research on this as it can be a major issue.We wish you and your household well in the future and are always ready to serve if you need us.Review fromHaley R

2 starsA salesman knocking on doors told me no contracts were involved and later it was revealed there was, we didn't mind services until we moved for military reasons and the company no longer offered services in our location. We were told on the phone that we wouldn't be charged since it wasn't our fault, but then we got charged. I regret ever having gotten involved with the company. We were given a totally false report on the condition of attic. The pictures shown to us were not our attic, as we have had 3 separate companies check the attic ..none found any issues. We were given a quote of $15,000. With a $7,000 interest charge. This was a totally false report on our attic. Shame on ****** Pest Control.Moxie Pest Control, LP

Please know it is not our intention to hamstring any of our clients. If possible we would love to see what pictures of the attic were shared with you during the inspection.
