Moxie Pest Control is horrible. They up sale clients. About a year ago, I was told by their tech I had signs of termite activity. They talked me into $2000.00 in bait traps around house. I was told bait lasts a few years. I assumed that was it. I was in a year contract by signing for work this wasn't info I was given by ****. Fast forward to now, I apparently got texts from them to come out check baits. I hadn't seen or responded to.They scheduled appt for 11-13-24 w/o permission. Tech came out checked bait left note they replaced one. They charged my bank acct $500.00 and renewed my contract without permission. I hadn't intended on renewing anything was going to cancel because of another issue that happened in summer with mice where instead of coming out getting rid of mice; they came out told my wife we had an extensive infestation. Quoted us $15,000.00, not a typo, to remove all insulation in attic, put in mouse repellant insulation.Not once did they quote to get rid of mice. Went to another company $180 later, mice gone. A total of 10 mice were caught. That was the extensive infestation. Back to termites. I call and was told the $500 was for renewal. I explained I didn't renew and was told well when you didn't respond to our numerous texts, we renewed your contract and immediately offered to reimburse $250 if I renewed. Acknowledging I hadn't formally renewed. I advised I wanted $500 back cancel all contracts. Refused to give money back and was told the termite bait traps were not purchased; they were rented for $2000.00 and they are taking them back. It was never explained they were rentals by tech, I wouldn't rent bait holders for that kind of money. This company relies on small print limited information. My initial contract was auto debit that's how they had my bankcard. I forgot to add, I can't get $2000 back. I had bought the house about a year before and had termite inspection with a certificate. The termite agreement consist of yearly check **** The stations stay in the ground and every year we come out to check and see if the stations are in its place, if they need adjusting or just extra bate. Unless something happens before the year we can come to do a warranty visit to replace what needs to be replaced.Review fromM. M.

I had service with them, I had rats in my attic. They kept rescheduling for two months, 5-6 times. I cancelled and went with another company and they are seeking a refund. They did offer me to treat my rat problem three months later to be fair, I guess its really the rats' problem of rudely not waiting a bit for themMoxie Pest Control, LP

It is a rental and my tenant was always there. She has all technicians came on security camera. They canceled a couple of times and the rest they came and refused to go to the attic. I made a complaint letter with all the details that was mailed to you, it has the proof. I mean you made me sign a letter to authorize someone to go to the attic, maybe do your homework firstReview fromRick K

Would never recommend this company . They try to lock you into a contract then do not do a good job. The last two times I received treatment was pouring rain and it just watched away whatever they were spraying. Waste of money dont get trapped like I did. Also, during the first treatment, they did the inside of my house basement. My cat got very sick and almost died. Cost me a $600 vet bill they could care less.Moxie Pest Control, LP

Thank you for your feedback. Moxie has different products for different weather. Such as rain, snow and regular. On your cancelation request you did not mention about your pet being sick. We have a damages department that takes care of that.Review fromErica S

1 starWe have been a customer of ******** Pest ********************** for under a year, currently. Recently, they contacted us via text to conduct a free Attic Survey. I had agreed because we have a couple wasps nests that we need to get rid of. The *** came out and surveyed our attic and roof attic for pests. He then stated we are massively infested with mice and quoted us over $14,000.00 for labor and material to do a clean of the attic and refill insulation. I then asked about the wasps and he stated, "I know nothing about wasps, I'm a mice guy!". This quote came over via text after asking for a thorough print out with details and pictures. We are in a newer home development and mice are not a problem in our neighborhood. The *** stated he would follow up a week later after providing pricing. Which he did not follow up. We then had another ***utable pest control come out to get a second opinion and they first sincerely apologized for our experience and confirmed our home had no problem with mice. I am disgusted with this company as they were trying to scam a large amount of money out of us for nothing. Very disappointed and will be canceling services moving forward. Please don't go with Moxie. I had one of the sales person who was very nice when we signed up for their pest services, and gauranteed that you could cancel anytime and that was the only good experience i had with them. They will do the pest services without any prior notifications although you tell them that you will be out of town and need inner pest services. The very other bad experience i had with them is they did my attic inspection and found a rodent trail in my newly moved in house and they tried to sell me a $10000K preventive service and freak me out for more than 30mins and didnt provide me any other alternative on how to control it. I had multiple other pest services come in and review and no one recommended it. When i try to cancel the service i was told that you have a yearly contract and you cant cancel it. Please read your agreement thoroughly and sign up. And the worst thing is their customer service just wont listen to your concerns and they will just try to retain by charging you the huge cancellation fees. They literally got me tensed with all the extreme conditions to happen if you dont take immediate action and tried to sell me something which i told NO to very clearly.Moxie Pest Control, LP

1 starI young man came to my door on a skateboard on 09/28/24. He asked if I needed a pest control treatment. I replied no. He asked 3 more times about a one time spraying around the exterior of my home and the price kept dropping. When the price was dropped to $35, I agreed. I signed a paper for him to proceed. 10 minutes later a different man arrived at my home in a Moxie Van. He sprayed the exterior of my home, took payment, gave me a receipt that I signed and left.A week later I received an email (or text?) telling me a man would be arriving in just a few minutes to apply a separate treatment INSIDE my house(!!) which I declined! It was happening so quickly I expressed clearly do not send your man, I dont need the treatment!! 2 days later I received another notice a man was coming in an hour. I was shocked It was like I was scheduled so I added Do NOT send your man, I DO NOT want a contract, I signed for a single application.. My email asked for me to Clicked Here" to finalize the contract, I never Clicked ******* be sure I called their office and the employee explained I had a contract, if I wanted out I would have to pay nearly $500.Incidentally, I have just received a new card from my bank this morning 11/05/24 to replace the old one. The new card was unrelated to Moxie. Moxie sent me an email on 11/05/24 asking for a new card number. Ive decided not to comply.Review fromBenita C

1 starThey are a terrible company they dont. Comprehend what you be trying to tell them they dont want they wanted to. If I call to cancel my service or reschedule you for the next following week why do they still send somebody out two days later what part they do t get. I been trying to cancel them for the the start because they are not go company the stuff does not work they came out we I first started with them from a man walking around the neighborhood telling you about the great offer which is some bull crack they charge all that money which the man was like do like 2 treatments and cancel if not satisfied which I been trying now I stuck. I call today some lady got on the line trying to explain the stuff and I trying yo tell her why yall charge and the man didnt do nothing but started to spray I saw him on my camera I told him to stop because I call the other day to cancel until I back intown he said ok I call the office so I look later I been charge 139 for what, so I trying to explain she keep telling something else it the system that generate the service and charge I said so what about when I called.. so I ask to cancel my hold service she said it will be $334.00 something like that I said for **** stuff doesnt work. So why am I paying u all. I told her Im contact legal aid or my bank because youre didnt do nothing so how can yall charge me that fraud I guess she got mad we had word she **** me off to make me go from ***** and think Im going to back for something that does not work or yall show and do nothing. I told her yall is robbing my daughter also they sign up with me. They never came out keep canceling or show up when nobody home. It is said inside house and outside why would they just show up when nobodys home. This company dont need to be in business they a scammer. I recently hired Moxie Pest Control to treat a rodent infestation in my home. The technician arrived on time and was polite, but the results were disappointing. After the treatment, I still saw signs of rodent activity. I called the company back, and they sent out another technician who did another treatment. However, I still had the same problem. The ************ professionals are unhelpful, they do not allow you to speak to the same person twice so you have to retell the issue multiple times. This company is a door to door ********* salesman scam looking to lock customers into a contract. I was very dissatisfied with the effectiveness of their treatments. I was told today by ******* (an account care supervisor), we are not here to eliminate (the rodent problem just help you manage it. That is the most insane statement Ive ever heard. She said that to me right before she hung up on me. Ive had these people come to my house 4 times and every time they promise they will take care of my mouse issue. NEVER give this company your credit card number and definitely NEVER sign a contract with them, complete garbage. I would not recommend Moxie Pest Control to anyone who is looking for a reliable and effective pest control service."Moxie Pest Control, LP

Avoid Joshua and moxie pest control! Total scam! I had a sale person from Joshua’s came to my door and pressure me into buying their termite control because they stated I have termites in the lawn. And they stated I can cancel anytime, and that was a lie! Afterwards they said they could remove the traps but we would have to continue to pay the monthly $200 charge. Totally 2,400 for 2 years. They took advantage of an older woman on a fixed income.Moxie Pest Control, LP
