1 starWould highly recommend passing on this pest control company. We fell for the trap of the company putting granules in the grass to keep the pests away. The granules were damaging the landscaping and grass, and did nothing to keep the pests away. The services the sales *** discusses does not actually happen. The contract states they guarantee work, which is not true, and you will be held responsible for the price listed in your contract.Review fromLaura C

1 starShamers. I tried to end service...357.60 to discontinue. I also talked to the bank THEY signed me to pay for their services. Evidently I still owe 2000+ for the rest of the year. I was told yesterday that I bought pest control at 149/qtr and termite yearly at ******/yr. That adds up to 1096 for the yr! Big difference from what they took ok on the loan. Original cost at 2649.When I asked if I would get a refund or the bank for the balance of the year, I was told NO. ********* said I am liable for the balance because they already sent it to Moxie. 1 starThis company is a scam! Guy came to my door trying to sell me, I stated that I wouldn't need a year of service just through the summer months. He said to sign up for the year and I would get the first service at $99 and then I could cancel at any time without any penalty. I asked " so I would only be charged for the services I receive correct? I am not locked into an entire year right? He stated no sir, you are not locked into a full year if you cancel." Well here we are and when I try and cancel, Kaitlyn argues with me and says " did you read over your entire agreement?" So what she means is did I read all of the fine print. Now she says I am on the hook for the entire year and need to pay another $393 of services that I never received. This is such a scam and I will notify my HOA and the city of Eureka, Mo to let them know exactly what type of company is screwing people over in our neighborhood and our city. Oh, and by the way, they call themselves Joshua's pest control but when you call they answer as Moxie pest control. Another red flag.

1 starNewFirst off the techs are always courteous and good to deal with. The parent company Moxie is completely crooked! The salesman lied to us about the cost of service. He told us we would get a certain number of treatment for an introductory price of $108 dollars. He told us those treatment would be effective for 2 years so we could cancel the service after the 3 visits. I started noticing charges to my credit card for $152.74 from Moxie. I called their office and was told the $108.00 was only a discount start up fee and the real fee was $650.00 for 5 visits. The tactic they use is a contract on multiple pages on an IPad while the salesman tells you, you can cancel at anytime and that the fee he is quoting you is the total cost. I told my account manager the salesman lied about the cost and it was a shady way to do business. While ********* was giving me his sympathy on his salesman scamming us, he said I was still responsible for the entire $650.00. I guess I will just chalk this up to a ****** learned. I would have thought a company would be more honest with their customers but I guess theyre ok with s******* them over for that 1 time contract. Eventually theyll run out of customers once the neighbors start spreading the word. DONT BE SCAMMEDMoxie Pest Control, LP

1 starI was told that I had termites, and I needed to have a system installed. The pricing to install the system was ridiculously expensive and I was hesitant to agree to it. They tried to tell me that I could take a loan out and make payments, even pitched a great monthly price. What they didnt tell me was that the monthly price they gave me was for over a 5 year period. They also made it seem as if the discount was the best there was, but the tax was basically canceled out any discount. I should also mention the fact that I did not have termites. Ive had pest control for a few years now, and you would think that that alone would have prevented me from having termites. So when they showed me where there were termites, it was just a bunch of lies they told me because they could tell that I didnt know what I should be looking for. When I called to complain about the whole service, I was told that the termites team and the pest control team had nothing to do with each other and that they wouldnt allow me to cancel the contract and kept making excuses and reasons as to why it was easier to keep the contract.Moxie Pest Control, LP

1 starMoxie is charging me for service's never received. I have had 4-5 phone calls with them and a supervisor was supposed to call me back, this never happened. I finally held on the line until one became available. All they kept repeating the service was done and is billable. I explained the situation everytime I called (they do not care).Moxie Pest Control, LP

It looks like the service was completed on 07/26/2024. The tech was onsite from 8:19 am - 9:57 am . Keep in mind that the customer is not obligated to be onsite for the exterior of the home to be serviced.

1 starBefore you purchase ANY ADDITIONAL SERVICE from Moxie pest control, PLEASE call another company and get a quote. Moxie pest control charged me $12,000 for removing my old insulation and installing "TAP" insulation. The sales *** stated that this would ELIMINATE my rodent issues in my attic. After the service was completed I still had rodents. When they sent a "manager" out to inspect he stated that the insulation treats for certain insects and NOT RODENTS (THE ONLY REASON I PURCHASED). When I informed him that their inspector promised me that rodents would be eliminated, his responded with " sales ***s will say anything to close a sale," I have called and called to speak with someone other that a customer service *** and get placed on hold or disconnected. I also purchased a termite baiting system from moxie at a price of $2450. After the issue with the insulation I had three other companies come out to get 2nd opinions and ALL THREE companies gave me prices for them to do the exact same work, with the exact same products. For the insulation service the highest non-moxie quote I received was $6800, almost half the price for the same service. Price gauging anyone?For the termite baiting system I did not recieve a single quote from non-moxie companies over $1000. The other companies could not believe the price I was given by Moxie. 1 starThis company said they were going to stop bugs by spraying and setting traps and they must spray water! We always turn these type of companies down because of worries of this but thought we would give them a chance..after they sprayed my son was still killing the spiders with break clean..Moxie has done nothing but lie to us..some guys came and left within minutes and only one time a guy came and actually spent ***** minutes spraying all around and that was after we threatened to be done with them.. Total waste of our time and money!! I do not recommend this company to anyone!! They take advantage of us seniors and there customer service is horrible..Moxie Pest Control, LP

Nice "auto generated" response..We reached out multiple times and even talked to the guys each time they came..We kept hearing that lots of complaints were going on but to please just give them a chance to fix the issues..Then we were told we could cancel anytime without penalty and when we tried to contact the "main guy" he was on vacation in ****** and had to wait till he came back..we only tried to contact him once we had the final " no call no show" after our scheduled appointment..We showed the service tech multiple times the pictures we had of spiders and everything and they said oh those shouldn't be here..This company is a joke..even charged my account $330 after we finally got it canceled..I will continue letting everyone know that this company is a rip off and to never do business with them!! Not sure how this company is ran in ***** or wherever the main office is but here in ********** ** area it's definitely a joke and unprofessional!!D. K.

Unlimited warranty? We called and talked to people everytime as well as the techs that came over..This company is horrible..Did not do what they said they would do..The techs are a joke and even they noticed and said the spiders and webs should be around our house like they are..And still charged my account ******** this is how you make your money it's crazy..I pray for your company because I don't see how you can stay in businessReview fromBailey D

1 starTerrible. I agreed to a one time application. Was later informed it was a multiple application process. I only agreed to one and that was after a lot of back and forth with the young man. There is no way possible that zero service should be charged $471.49 Again TerribleMoxie Pest Control, LP
