This company is a complete and utter SCAM. It's impossible to get anywhere with them. I've had a policy with them since 2016 and recently wanted to combine 2 policies into 1. They've been double charging me for months now all while assuring me "oh, we're working on it". Bull. They're intentionally ripping me off. I'll be canceling this nonsense as soon as possible. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. Any other insurance company would be better. Can't WAIT for their copy/paste "we're very sorry that we didn't provide the service that you expect and deserve. This lack of service you experienced is unacceptable to us blah blah blah" reply to this review. It's hysterically transparent. Hey AIL, you're not fooling anyone. Your pathetic attempt to show you "care" isn't fooling anyone. Here's wishing your company nothing but failure and disappointment for years to come.American Income Life Insurance Company

Let me be clear: the sales representative who sold me this was either egregiously incompetent, or he purposefully lied to me about my policies. Your customer service line kept me on hold for over an hour before transferring me to your cancelation team, who didn't bother picking up after ANOTHER hour of waiting. I just emailed that address you sent demanding my policies be canceled. And let me promise you this: if you continue charging me for these policies, I WILL be pursuing legal action against you. This is the worst company ever. I have called, e-mail etc to get my accounts closed. I was told forms would be mailed and they never showed up but their bills for payments have no problem. I am told that the accounts are on to cancel but nothing. They owe us in the surrender and will not pay. You cannot get through to customer service. If we could give them 0 stars we would! This company is outrageous! They have agents calling ** after business hours pretty much every week to say we need to "update information on our policy" and sucker you into taking out another life insurance policy that you don't need. We never were able to speak to the same agent, as it appears every time we did it was a different person calling us and saying, "Your policy crossed my desk" etc. A life insurance company should not make their customers feel as if their mental well-being is being affected by being harassed by people constantly calling my wife and me saying that we need to update our policies, which is totally bonkers! Save your time, money, and most importantly energy, and DO NOT work with this life insurance company. These blood suckers are UN-AMERICAN!!! and no one should be treated as such!!! Then we were directed to call the ***** number and each spent 2 hours on hold in order to speak to someone who obviously DID NOT UNDERSTAND because they kept asking us "are you sure you want to cancel this? I would advise you not to.." YES, I WANT TO CANCEL AND HAVE THAT BE THE END OF IT!!!!!
We finally got the forms to send back to cancel our policies, but only 3 weeks later after we called, and then were told we have 30 days to send the forms back to a PO BOX, which is again, entirely unprofessional, because who knows if they will even receive the **** forms!!
My wife and I called our bank to put a stop on ALL and ANY payments because we DO NOT TRUST these people....and they keep sending us invoices to pay for lapsed policies, which we don't want to renew anyhow!! Well, the joke's on them because we won't be wasting any more money with them.American Income Life Insurance Company

Scam zero stars people need to stay away of this company american income life insurance this company is the worst I have ever dealt with, I been with them since 2017 I and April 2022 that's when I find out what the agents been selling me the insurance every year and I keep losing money and my policy they here to rip off people like me from different backgrounds I can't not. Now I understand others' reviews! I scheduled an initial consult/appointment with an apparent 'new agent' and after doing some vetting and research of my own (because I believe that's my due diligent responsibility as a consumer), I opted to cancel. Once I provided my reasoning, I was met with additional questions instead of my response being taken as it stated. Fine, I provided additional context for my decision and all was well. However, I then received a phone call from this new agent's manager with further questioning. On the call -- with who I did not consent my information begin shared -- he was quite rash and told me that "I must not be open-minded" when it came to having AIL help me and my family with their products. If I was not already put off by the obvious pushy sales tactics I am all too familiar with, I certainly am now. These conversations did not make me feel any better when it comes to trusting a company with my insurance policies.American Income Life Insurance Company

This company is completely incoherent. My grandma recently passed and has been paying on these accounts for over 40 years. By the end there was less than ***** left to her name. I am very confused on how this company works and why they inappropriately take advantage of the elderly and those ignorant to life insurance. I have tried to cancel these accounts since august 29th. It has been over a month. I have spiked with 5 different agents who all tell me different information and do not follow through with the help they promise. I am disappointed by this organization and the lack of ability to do their job. I am extremely confused on why it's taken over a month and my paperwork has yet to be processed. I hope this review is well received as not just an angry customer but a warning to save your time, money, and energy and encourages you to refrain from doing business with them. Save your mental health and work with an organization that will actually value your time and the customers they are working with. I will do my best to get in contact with their headquarters and head of their company until changes have occurred for myself and for those being scammed by this organization.American Income Life Insurance Company

I first heard of AIL from someone calling me"saying that my brother left me a gift" this is how they initially got into my life to sell me insurance. A young ***** lady, came out to talk to me and sold me a policy even though I didn't understand everything about them I decided to take the policy cay she made it all sound really great but about a couple months passed then this weird ***** man came by to go over what I had just gotten. It made no sense but I let him talk but then already he started want to add more coverage to my policy which also increases the payments. Right after ***, I started getting constant phone calls from AIL about wanting to come out to go over my policy again and this continued for the remaining time which I still had the policy and it was always different people except the old ***** man which came out several more times. By then, I was so sick and tired of them calling and harassing me as if having this policy made me feel as if I had to be obligated to let them intrude into my life. Only after having this policy and losing so much money, I eventually had to cancel doing business with them cause I could tell something was very very wrong with the people and I didn't want to be bothered with AIL anymore. The truth is, they're no good and they mulniplate people by intimidation to buy their insurance then they won't leave u alone and they continue to harass u the remaining time that u have a policy with them. My wife and I was referred to *** by a reliable friend but boy was she wrong on this one!!! My wife son passed 5 months ago and it has been an absolute hassle trying to get someone who knows WTH is going on! She calls everyday and everyday get a new answer. No one on the same page up there they need more training for sure!!! It's hard enough dealing with the passing of her son but to literally beg for the money and she's been with u guys for over five years is horrible! I wouldn't advise anyone to EVER go with this company not even my own enemy!!!American Income Life Insurance Company

HOW DO I GET RIDE OF ALL OF THEM? THE PERSON WHO OPEN THE POLICY MADE A MISTAKE AND MY CARD WAS NEVER CHARGE. I DECIDE TO CANCEL AFTER A MULTIPLE CALLS AND CALLS AND SHE WON'T STOP TO BOTHER ME, I BLOCK HER AND SHE MESSAGE ME INSTEAD, I REFUSE TO GIVE THEM ANOTHER 3 HOURS AT MY HOME, I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET POLICE ADN CARDS AS ******** POST OFFERS. THAT WAS THE TRICK, THEY CAME TO YOUR HOUSE AND BASICALLY PUSH YOU TO SIGN FOR INSURANCE. I AM FRUSTRATED.
