      No Stars! I see that every response that AIL posted are basically all the same. They obviously have never had to call AIL and sit on hold for a ridiculously amount of time. I have had my policy since ****. I also have 2 others for my kids. I have tried to cancel my policies since July. They just keep taking my money from bank. I have called, I have sent 2 so called cancellation forms with requested info. Today, they tell me I need to send a copy of my social security card because they keyed in the wrong # and they can't change it back without my ss card! Wow, seems a bit fishy to me since they have had my # since ****. If you mention the word cancellation, they will talk you out of it or put you on hold forever & Tell you that your making a big mistake. I was going to cancel my kids policies but I am so upset with them after ready other peoples comments I will attempt to cancel mine as well. There must be laws for this type of stall tactics. I guess the next thing is to contact an attorney and the state insurance commissioner. *** does not reply to emails in a timely manner except for their standard auto message, "were sorry we didn't provide the service that you expect and deserve."

      I've been paying this American Income Life Insurance for at least four years. I call to cancel and it's a nightmare. Called twice after work 4pm. Put on hold and then they go home at 5pm. Three days later I finally talk to someone in cancelation ***** I told them I wanted to be fully disconnected with this company. They tried several tactics to get me to stay. Eventually said I would receive some papers to fill out and mail back. Also said I would get a check in the mail for somewhere over $100. Three weeks later and the only thing I received was a paper bill for little over $25. Then a few days after that I noticed my bank acct. was debited by them. I call back and was told I only requested to cancel one of my four accounts. Also asked why I had a charge on my bank account as well as a paper bill. So, they charged my bank account for the three accounts they left active and then send a paper bill for the account that I requested to cancel and the account is only officially canceled after you fill it out and mail it back, and that's only if you actually receive the letter they claim to mail. So, it appears they're going to get at least another month's worth of payments. Possibly more. Very crooked way of doing business.

      This company is nothing but a scammer. They keep calling a bunch of times after we purchased the policy with them. Such a distraction of life. We decided to cancel the policy, came to their local office here in ******, the office is like an empty place, no one greet **, a lady was on the phone, finally we gave up and went home and called to cancel. First call went through, she hung up. Call a different number, passed me to a numbers of different person, finally was able to talk to supposedly cancelation department. Had a hard time trying to cancel. Tried to have them send email cancellation forms. They had my husband's email wrong.. corrected.. they said they would to both emails within 72 hours. Nothing.. to either email.. didn't go to spam or trash.. just nothing. Tried to call customer service.. who asked if she could transfer ** to cancellations.. 40 minutes of 'your call is important to **' later I had to hang up because I had to go to work. We'll be stopping payments through the bank next.

      This company is an absolute scam! Been trying to cancel a policy since July 14th! They've given me the run around time and time again! My first payment of 116$ was due August 22nd of 2022, and they decided to take it out on July 15th instead! This company is a sham, they do not care about you, or anybody else. Never in my life have I been as frustrated with a company than I have with this sorry excuse for a business.

      I have contacted AIL several times. I have requested my policies sent to my new address, to no avail. I have requested meetings, to no avail. I have explained the problems I am having with them, and they are still not responding.
      Do not deal with this company for life insurance, or you will be sorry. I am discontinuing my insurance with this company, as I have found a Canadian company that serves me better.

      I wish I could give zero stars for the phone harassment I have received this last week. I told them multiple times to stop calling me and they have continued for twice a day since aug. 29. I haven't had a policy with *** for three years and it was a pain trying to cancel as well. I've stated multiple times I have no interest in hearing about the "no cost benefits" I know what they are and I'm absolutely not interested but that doesn't matter to the *** phone jockeys. I honestly had no real opinion about this company until this BS but now I will never have a policy with them again. Unprofessional and rude.

      They call on Sundays, Holidays, at night, when ever to try and upsell you more insurance. Harrasment, plain and simple.

      My dad Rest In Peace passed away June 22,2022 and his funeral was July 1 emailed a copy of dc on July 22 to get the balance of the death claim which is $1975 my dad had been a policy holder since 2002. I used this policy to pay for the funeral expenses and the balance owed to me has yet been paid. Called 8/26 and was told they needed my name ss number address and dob for the claim to be processed. Sent the information that moment while on the phone with the agent. Received a confirmation email saying they received the information. Just as they did when I sent the dc on July 22. Called today 8/31 and was told there on a note on the account saying they have NOT received to dc and I'm like what the ****. After being placed on hold for a while and telling her I sent the dc July 22 the agent comes back and says call back at the end of next week to see if there's any updates on the claim. You have the dc and my information what could possibly be the hold up. Policies are purchased for basically to help after a person passes. This does not make any sense to do people who have been with this company for many years! This is wrong on so many levels. All for $1975!! I have called the funeral home to see if they have received their money and I'm waiting on them to call me back. My suggestion is do not do business with the company! It's been 38 days this is ridiculous!!

      As of today September 18 still
      No check!! Was told 2 days in a row that the check either will be cut tonight (1st call) or it was cut this morning (2nd call) and they apologized and reassured me someone would call me back and provide me with a UPS tracking number once the check was sent out! I still have no check, no tracking number and no belief in that I will ever received my dads balance of his policy . I'm forced to go back to work because I can no longer go without paying my bills. Ii been on mental health stress leave do to the passing of my dad which I need it and this money would have help me with my bills this month and allowed me to stay of work longer so that I could continue to get the mental health help I need to return to the work force and learn to live without my parents! I will be contacting a lawyer!!

      I canceled my policy on July 26th 2022, was told I'd get the initial premiums I've paid for in 15 days. 18 business days went by, I emailed for follow-up and was told she processed the refund and may take up to 3 days. Currently on the 4th day and still nothing, and while waiting for the first two premiums to be given back, a third premium has been taken from my account when I've been in the cancellation process for almost a month now. Funny how they take money almost instantly but when you're trying to refund it takes forever and you have to work so hard for it. Makes me wonder how it's like when people need to submit claims.
