This company is running a scam. They with drew money from my chnecking account without my authorizatio. The agent whose name is John getter already had my checking information when we spoke and I instructed him to not used my banking information for any reason. I never authorized him to use my information and I wasn't interested in having any policy period. I've made several calls and I even spoke with him demanding that this money be credited back to my account immediately. I finally was able to speak with someone named Katlyn who verified there has been a policy set up in my name and I demanded that this be cancelled immediately and the money put back into my account. If I don't se this money returned to me I will be contacting them tomorrow.American Income Life Insurance Company

I purchased this insurance to assist a childhood friend. Once the organization terminated his employment I called several times to cancel the service to no avail. Initially they instructed me to call a 800 number to which I left a voicemail message and never received a callback regarding my cancellation. When I followed up and spoke with an agent, she instructed me to process a stop payment with my bank as she had the same problem with another customer. The issue I have is that they received several additional months of payments out of my account. My only resolution to have this stopped was to process a stop payment with my bank and pay $30. I will NEVER use this business again and will deter others from using them as well.American Income Life Insurance Company

My daughter passed away March 16, 2022. I did received the funeral expense check in July (4 months later), but I called every 2 weeks just to hear it was in auditing. Now I am waiting for the accidental death portion and they keep telling me it's in the auditing phase. This policy has been paid on time for over 10 years and they need to do better!!! I'm going to keep calling until I receive the other check. This is absolutely ridiculous that a grieving family has to go through this madness!!!American Income Life Insurance Company

Too bad you have to give a rating. Waited on hold for 40 min. for the cancellation department to cancel my policy stayed on hold and called customer service # back on another phone and got hung up on. Still no answer on the other phone that was on hold. Called back and asked if anyone was working there. Asked the woman who answered the phone for my policy# Was told that they will send out cancellation papers. We will see how this goes! Such a scam! We have spoken with them at least 5 times to cancel our policy. They call again acting like they had no idea we cancelled (when I have spoken with the same 2 people each time) They always assure me that my policy is cancelled and then withdraw more money the next month. Looking like we are going to need legal help to get them to stop.American Income Life Insurance Company

I joined because a friend of referred me but it has quickly turned in to a nightmare! I was told my premium would be 30 dollars a month and it increased without any notice. I also realized that the reason I was asked to use family address in another state is because the agent was not licensed in my home state. I have been calling to cancel immediately and NO ONE has answered. I have asked my agent questions regarding the increase and have not heard back. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. If I have to take legal action I will as this is a SCAM. Never again.American Income Life Insurance Company

This company is as close to a scam as you can get while apparently scurting the definition. You'll never be able to use any of your plan benefits without someone trying to upsell you on your plan. They call you every 3 months trying to sell you new plans even when you've been extremely clear you don't want any. They'll overcharge your account and then take a month to respond by email on the claim even though it says 2-3 business days for a response. As of now I've been on hold for 45 minutes trying to cancel my plans and it very much seems like their "cancelation department" will just never pick up the phone. Lastly this is not an accredited life insurance for any union in America. If you come to your door saying your union sent them they're just lying to you.American Income Life Insurance Company

Our mom passed away two months ago from today. When we contacted the company their response was 10-15 and we should receive a check, then that turned to 15-30 days. We received a letter stating we needed to provide them with a death certificate, mind you the funeral already submitted the documents needed, but I sent my only one in. Then continued to call to be told they never received it, but when calling back the very next day a different representative told me everything had been received for more then two weeks, but now all of a sudden the claim is in review and they can't give an estimated time of when we will receive payment. They had no problem receiving their payment each month but can't pay out once your loved one has passed away.American Income Life Insurance Company

Horrible customer service! My ex set up a policy for our daughter (and several other policies apparently) and had lapsed on the payments. I agreed to bring my daughter's policy current, but then had an additional amount removed from my bank account. The company could not tell me where this money went and gave me an email address to contact to get a refund. That email response led to yet another email contact. The next response was a request for a bank account statement with the charges in question. I provided a redacted copy with my other bank transactions and my complete balanced marked out. They then sent me another email with the criteria that the bank statement must be complete (all pages) with all information visible. Why would this company need that information except for nefarious reasons?! I have yet to get an answer as to what the additional amount was used for or get a refund for this additional amount! I have cancelled my two policies on July 12, 2022. I asked that they not take out my payment for July ( which they did) and have been trying to get the payment back to no avail. I did everything online signed documents and have paperwork that I printed off on the same day saying the policies were cancelled. I have been emailing a person that says she is taking care of it and I should get the payment back. As of yet all I get is bills to pay my policies. I probably will not be getting my money back but you can bet that if any one calls about this insurance they will get an earful. It's a shame that they take advantage of people on fixed income and won't give the money back that they owe them and then try to get more money out of them.
