I cancelled and adjusted my autopay date and still got billed. I called for a refund and keep getting told to call back and that additional waiting period is required. The first payment came out 3/14/23 and then 3/17/23. I called Monday 3/20 and was told to call back Friday, I called back that Friday and was told it would not be refunded electronically and I would be mailed a check. I called again today and now am being told to call back on Friday to see if my refund check was sent out. The amount of times I have had to call for my money back and the time it is taking to refund my money when my bill has already paid is unacceptable.Business Response

Their statement about the date I requested a refund is untrue. I called 3/20/23 for my refund. It is now 4/8/23 and have yet to receive my refund. They then made me call back 3/24/23 to ask AGAIN for my refund and that person I spoke to said they were unable to refund me electronically and that I would have to wait for a check. That person then attempted to gain my bank account information. I emailed Toyota after this to ask if this employee I spoke to was legitimate as I found it odd they wanted my bank account number to which I did not get a response. And then I was told to call back again x2 regarding this refund. I don't find their response acceptable at this time, especially since I have still not had my refund but they did manage to send me another bill for this month. I believe they have been intentionally delaying this refund.Customer Answer

Im filing this complain on toyota financial and the Toyota of ******** . Both gave false statements on the status of my Toyota 4Runner. I was told payments could not be made because the account was closing, and the check for the car would be sent over. Now the end of March Im getting calls because there is a missed payment on my account and now I have to go for the next month because Toyota financial did not accept my payments and the Toyota of ******** did not send the check. The contract has been made since the beginning of March. When trying to make the payment, it did not let me and I was insured by both parties that I did not have to make any payments as the car was already in contract. Now Im going to get charged penalty fees and have a dent in my credit report because of these companies. When trying to resolve these issues, they acted like children and kept placing blame on each other, rather than trying to fix the situation. Both parties did not hear me out or offer any type of compensation. They both messed up because they couldnt coordinate what needed to be done and now the clients me the customer is getting fines and penalized for actions that they committed. Im filing this complaint for Toyota financial& file another one with Toyota of ********. Because both are to blame, I did my parts I called I attempted to make the payments. I had the money to pay the car. They did not accept it and they blocked me from making the payment online and over the phone and was told by both of these companies that I was covered and I was fine and come to find out a month later Im having to waste my time and call these companies to figure out a resolution. The fact that I spent two days on this, trying to collect information and making calls and filing complaints and now doing this for something that they shouldve resolved. Not to mention how dismissive the financial advisor at Toyota of ******** was and how rude the lady from Toyota financial was.Business Response

We sold our car on January 1, 2023 and we paid in full our outstanding balance with Lexus Financial, but Lexus Financial wrongly auto-charged our bank statement for one extra monthly bill on January 8, 2023 ... and in short we are due two different checks (one from the extra payment and one for insurance) for $492.38 and for $396.07. We have called six times asking for our money and each and every time Lexus Financial tells us that check should arrive in 1-2 weeks. We just called on 3/17 and 3/31 with the same response and are fed up. Please get us our refund back.Business Response

I purchased my car out of a lease with Toyota Financial in mid-July of 2022 with additional financing from Garden State Federal Credit Union. The documentation was reviewed, funds changed hands and the loan was officially closed with TFS.To this day 3/30/2023, I still have not received title for the car, My new lender is asking for the title and the registration will expire this month. After numerous phone calls with TFS, they explained that over the summer they changed vendors that handle the title portion of closing leases and that there was an issue where a large population of customers did not receive their titles due to vendor and system cutover and I am one of them. Each time I call them, they have a different excuse to delay the process and I have spent hours on the phone escalating to senior customer care management with no relief. Request for duplicate title was placed with them on January 18th, 2023.They sent out a ***** of ******** showing that they are still the owner so that I can get the car re-registered, however, in good faith, they don't own the car nor can I really trust them at this point to act in my best interest.I appreciate any assistance you can provide.Their phone number is ************ and my account number with them was *************. My vehicle was totaled by Allstate. ***** was sent by Allstate for $7319. Toyota notified us that account was closed and thanked us for our business on 1/31/2023. Toyaota failed to cash check within 30 days, Allstate voided check. We received no further notification from Toyota that account was open. In March we checked our credit agencies and saw our score dropped 49 points because Toyota reported us as delinquent. Again no notification was provided prior to this check. Now Toyota indicates it was not their responsiblity to tell us nor is it their responsibility to correct our account at Equifax. Currently trying to get mortgage and this has severely impacted the ability to get a decent interest rate. Toyota account **********Business Response

On Feb 11, 2014, I cosigned on a loan for my grandson ***********************, about 5 years into the loan the car was totaled. We were covered by ******************** and we purchased Gap from the finance department at ******* Toyota. My grandson did not make a payment after the wreck thinking that the insurance and Gap protection would pay off the car. The account went to $O dollars owed, and he received a $6.00 refund from Toyota. We think the loan was finally paid off. A couple of months later we get a collection on mine and his credit report. I have called Toyota many times and filed dispute with credit bureaus 2 or 3 times over the years without any results or acknowledgment. I was told by Toyota that after they took their fees out there was a balance left on the account and Gap didn't payoff loan. This has caused me financial hardship by having to pay higher interest on CC and loans through the years. I finally had to debt consolidation. My payment history other than the consolidation is 100% on time. I need help getting this off of mine and my grandson's credit history.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I have asked a couple of questions to be answered concerning TFS. The first is why if we owed money would Toyota send a refund check to ***** if he owed money to you. The second is how were we able to get a clear title on the car from the *** of ***** if the loan wasn't clear of financial obligation? Please answer these 2 questions so I can proceed with a clear understanding of your responses. I will also contact my insurance provider for the total amount that was paid to TFS. I believe the check TFS received from ************************** was more than is being stated. I will also contact the GAP provider that you sell your customers to get an answer from that entity.Initial Complaint

On 12/02/22 I have scheduled a payment $900.00 with Toyota Financial for my Highlander act #********** Due I didn't have the completed amount for the pmt I called to cancelled and reschedule another one for $500 stead the same date the representative told me she can't do it and I needed to be transferred to the automatic system to do the pmt. I did scheduled and until this day has never showed up on my pmt of $500 towards the Toyota Financial on their end. Im been back and forward with Toyota due they keep saying that they need a Merchant Report from my bank and they can credit the act. We even did a 3 way call with ***** Fargo they explaining that they do not give Merchant reports. I did sent to the Toyota my WF bank statement, confirmation number of the pmt, transaction ID, even as suggest I disputed the transaction with my bank (that was denied due the pmt was correctly done to the Toyota) at this point Toyota still saying that is not enough to get my pmt credit on my Toyota act. I went back contact my bank WF to request re-opened my dispute and they advice to reported her BBB due on their end shows the pmt correctly done and they already provided me everything as bank that shows that was made with my bank act towards Toyota Financial. Please Note I faxed everything to Toyota Financial but I can fax to the BBB all here if as needed. I want to see if BBB give me a resolution of getting that payment credit for the $500 and also any interest accumulated from that time period that was not credit.Business Response

Since I cannot get anyone's attention at Toyota Financial Services to get an erroneous credit check removed from my credit report. When I was actually able to get a real person on the line they said there was nothing they can do. I already reached out to the 3 other companies involved in this and each of them were able to get the issue resolved.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
The business was unclear in their wording on whether or not these inquiries were going to be removed. If I can get confirmation that these will be removed then we should be good. I cannot agree with the business response until this has been stated plainly.
Thanks.

I am not sure why BBB closed this complaint when it wasnt resolved. I was waiting on a response back from the company to clarify their explanation. BBB has therefore wasted my time and the other companies time and will require me to submit another complaint wasting even more of my time. I am not satisfied with this course of action at all by BBB and it seems like you folks just wanted to clean up the files and waste the consumers time.Customer Answer
