I work 3rd shift and I told them what times to get ahold of me yet they keep waking me up to ask for payments. When I have financial hardships they dont work with me when they said they will. For example: I missed a week and the bill was a bit over $100 I only had $80 to my name and physically showed them I have no food but they made me give them EVERYTHING I had. So I had no food for a week. They are super unprofessional and dont do what they promise they will or what their contracts say. I am the customer so I shouldnt feel like Im being hunted by loan sharks that wont work with me. PLEASE investigate these two locations. I BEG you for my sake and others. Something isnt right.Rent-A-Center, Inc.

This company is terrible!!! They have rented storage containers from ** and they will not pay. Everytime I call the store managers telephone number, she makes up a lie. I called yesterday and she said "wait a minute, I'm getting pulled over and I will call you right back." ***** laugh, she never calls back. If she sees my name on caller ID she won't answer. If i call from an unknown number, she might answer. This is the worst run business I have ever seen. it is here in **********, **. Beware people!!! Don't shop there!!!!!!Rent-A-Center, Inc.

was a customer for 13 years at ***** ** and ********* ** stores **** was manager and **** was DM the first 8 yrs went great exec service and quality merchandise, **** even finished the payoff on a entertainment center if I rented a washer and both I still have 15 yrs later, but the del service started getting bad got a refrigerator and they tore my door and dented the refrigerator instead of taking doors off fridge, got a lap top for wife 6 month end the screen got a huge green line going through it it went to service like 5 times and still never got fixed. ***** was at ***** ** store with **** then. Your corporate office made good on that and for that wife was grateful, we have had a couple things that needed repairs following that and we had to complained to **** and **** a lot till they got repaired or replaced, I figured that if I have to pay a lot of money I always got new never previously rented but the one time I did it was a bunk bed for my handicap daughter your guys set up in my living room I was redoing my daughters floor, about a week maybe 10 days later she has a lot of small bites on her we removed the mattress didn't seen nothing it wasn't until I unscrewed the wood slats when we say the bed bugs,your co sent someone out to check and underneath all the box spring boards was infested. Your company had to flip the bill for getting rid of them and replace ins things that got infested, to make a long story short I went into the Alcoa store before **** left and **** was there with him was going to rent something **** said I couldn't rent anything else I asked him way he said I need to talk to ****,he got **** to come out and this is what **** told me he wasn't renting to me because I had cost the company to much money and that I went over his head to have things done that he wouldn't,how is anything that happen my fault? 13 years I was a good customer and at least ****** of my money.paid off a lot of stuff with no complaints,****** is managing storeRent-A-Center, Inc.

Unprofessional *********** Electric bikes aren't put together appropriately. I was flipped over the handlebars at about 15mph. My husband's bike showed Error codes and my bike had no brakes (my husband adjusted them). We were on the bikes for about 20 minutes (this is the first time we rode them) the headlight fell off. My husband had to fix it the best he could because we were on a trail and no where near our vehicle. Making our way back to our vehicle, the headlight had fallen off again but this time the basket fell off and the front fender while I was riding it. The front fender was attached to front rim so it didn't fall completely off, instead it wedged the front making the front tire instantly stopping the bike, which I was doing , appropriately 15mpj. I was thrown over the handlebars and thought I broke my ribs. My husband went to get help and had to use my bike to get help because his was on an error code (again) which meant he would have to manually peddle and take longer. He had to rip the front rim off of my bike in order to go for help because I honestly thought I had punctured a lung. I go to the ** and luckily I have no broken bones, but extremely sore. This happened Sunday 08/28/2022 on Monday 08/29/2022 morning. My husband took the bikes back and the Manager, also, the person that puts the bikes together (per his own admission), was very rude, blamed us for the bike falling apart and also stated we could not *** them because we "signed" for them. Well it isn't like we test drove them seeing as though he was ordering 2 new ones (which did not happen my husband's bike was one of the ones on the floor that was broken . I can assure you had I been told someone incompetent was putting the bikes together WE WOULD NOT HAD "SIGNED"FOR THEM". I also have a friend that is renting one and she said her headlight fell off then the basket and then the front fender.Rent-A-Center, Inc.

Never tell you how much will be your product if is not paid in full in 3 months. Never receive any paper, and everything was in a screen just telling you to sign. After a year paying I called them to verify how much I owe and they told me I still owe 14 more months. My purchase was a couch for around $2,400. Paying 153 every 15 days. I still owe around 2,800 !!!!!! For a total around of $7, 100 !! That is crazy !!!!! That means I already paid my furniture plus they will keep double or more , that is stealing!! I want to cancel all and just pay a fair amount extra , not that!!Rent-A-Center, Inc.

I bought a power recliner three months ago back in June 2022 Ã nd July 2022 the power recliner stopped working and I have not been able to use my chair..... I got my chair from the 98th Bloomington store my first payment was due August 6th I contacted them about the issue with my chair they said they would swap it out and that they will get around too it so they told me that they where going to swap it out on the 11th of August they never did because I won't make a payment on a broken chair that I just bought..... Either swap the chair and and I'll make a payment on my chair or don't swap it out and void my contact because I don't wanna deal with this headacheRent-A-Center, Inc.

This business goes as Acceptance now. They are affiliated with Bobs Furniture in Brooklyn where I bought a sofa bed. After 3 weeks of using the couch, when you sit on either side of the couch, the cushions go down unevenly and they make you lop sided and your body pushes to the middle of the couch. The middle cushion goes extremely flat so your sinking into the couch. I Tried the sofa bed and you feel the metal from the bottom pushing against your back until youre in pain. I keep on calling the store to tell them i wnt to return it and they say they dont take any returns. They say you can exchange but you have to talk to the manager and they tell you the manager will call you and he never does. Dont buy anything from Acceptance Now/Rent A Center. They approved me for 2500 credit and when I pulled my credit report it says i owe them $4500.00. SCAMMERS!!!!! My next step is to file a law suit. This app requires you to give them a star rating. I had to click on 1 because it doesnt allow you not to pick any. They dont deserve 1 star.Rent-A-Center, Inc.

Rent a center Huntington NY. I have been a customer for years and I have never experienced disrespect, harassment, and discrimination from a company as I have this store. I have encountered three separate incidents with employee Omar. first he puts my card on file without my permission and money was taken from my account without my authorization sometimes after i had made a payment I had to call the store to get my money refunded. I could not take my card off of the app he had locked it somehow I had to contact the district manager at the time to get it off. second Omar calls me for a payment I asked for a manager he said they did not have one in store told him when they get one to call me back he starts screaming in the phone he's coming to my house and pick up the stuff he's going to show up at my door and hangs up as im calling corporate to make a complaint he calls me three times and says nothing and hangs up. third time I called to speak to district manager I was returning the call and Omar answer and tells me I did not answer the call when the district manager called me asked when will he be in said he does not know and hung up on me I called back and he tells me I have to talk to him he's the only one there I hung up called the other number the district manger called from talked with him, (Milton) and he said he would take care of it. To top it off come to find out I have been making payments and I still owe a lump sum of money two years later still waiting for Milton to call me back with correct balance. I wonder where my money has been going probably in someone's pockets . I am definitely not letting this go.Rent-A-Center, Inc.

I had an agreement with the Hammond store and the payment came due when my wife was in the hospital for a stroke. Rent a center called my phone 4 to 5 times a day and sent text messages 3 times a day. I talked to store manager about the wife being in the hospital and he started calling all my references contacts and neighbors. Sent his truck driver out to the house when the wife was in the hospital. Witch is on private property. And then sent his driver again as I was trying to get the wife out of the car from the hospital. The driver drove right up and demanded a payment or the merchandise. When I reminded him that he was on private property. He got mad and said he was going to call the cops to get his merchandise. So I called the store and the manager told me the same thing. So I filled a complaint with there corporate office. Needless to say I only have 275 dollars left to pay for a used laptop. So I guess they figured if they take it back they double there money bye selling to someone else.Rent-A-Center, Inc.
