      TERRIBLE company, I got my reservation through American Airlines miles, it was a prepaid reservation. I called the company a couple times prior to the reservation to make sure all was good and if there was anything else I needed, I was told I needed nothing. Once I got there to pick up the vehicle they tried to sell me multiple things as well as rental insurance. I told them I didnt need the insurance as I was covered under my own auto insurance. The sales person insisted I needed it unless I could show her my policy, I showed it to her on my phone but she would not agree to it. I waited almost an hour trying to square things away, she still wouldnt give me the car unless I got the insurance otherwise she was going to cancel the reservation. I told her I would take the insurance under dispute and square it away later as I needed to get on the road. The company is now saying I had no proof of insurance, that is totally not true, I had it right there in front of the incompetent worker! BEWARE!

      Dont use them. They have figured out how to shuttle people to the middle of nowhere, bait and switch, and give you no choice except to sign the contract. Their business is in the middle of acres of fields. There is a gas station beside them which falsely advertises their price of gas. (Dont be fooled, its >50 cents more per gallon unless youre a member). So from the airport to this company miles from the airport. Nowhere to go. No ride. No options but be stolen from. Theyve learned to steal money thru legal loopholes. *** filed a complaint here and will with the attorney general also. I cant imagine the ***************** appreciates being represented by such POOOOOR business ethics.

      I was pressed for time and rented through "********" online. They didn't specify the rental company. It described "shuttle ride" as did all the name brand rental companies. They didn't say I had to take a shuttle to the airport car rental facility, then find a poorly described visitors parking lot so I could take the ** Car off airport shuttle. It was the last shuttle. The driver let us sit there, at this poorly lit, remote Uber pick up spot for 20 minutes while he picked up the portable signs ** car uses to direct you to this hidden pick up spot. They need more of these signs as it was like playing hide and seek to find the spot. Then we were shuttled to a sketchy part of the city on street with shuttered budget motels and closed businesses. Their building has 3 rows of razor wire, like they have around prisons, to keep people off their roof.They didn't have the car I reserved and wanted to give me an econo box or have me pay more for a car equal to what I reserved. I could have walked away but they don't issue refunds, their shuttle was shut down, we would have needed a taxi or Uber to get ******************* and would have had to pay the inflated walk up prices at the airport car rental facility. I managed to get an actually very nice ************** and get out of there without buying their insurance.I had read they will charge you $125 to clean your car and so I took it to the carwash, cleaned and vacuumed before returning. I returned it 29 hours early because our flight left before they opened and therefore there was no shuttle. I read in review if you drop a car off when they are closed they will charge you for factious damage or not check it in and charge you for an extra day. The customer service rep told me I would get a refund for the unused day but they didn't issue a ************* learned is shop for car rentals with the travel sites, then book directly with the rental company. And read reviews.

      Wish I would have read reviews before I fell for the misleading prices I found on-line. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. The people in line during our 2 hr wait were frustrated and angry, with good reason.

      This company is a big scam. They advertise low rates but when you pick up the car they ask for insurance declaration page ( never ever it happened with other companies) and despite you having good all coverages including rental car insurance they tell you that it is not a good coverage and wouldn't give you the car except you buying insurance from them. It increases the rental cost 250%- from $92 to $350 for a week rental. I rented cars from many companies and it never was a problem. This company is a big HOAX. Unless you prepared to pay triple of advertised rate don't rent from them. I would never ever recommend this company.

      They billed my credit card but I did not received a rental car. Tried to get a refund, but had to go through my credit card company. If all ********* companies are like this, it doesn't pay to do business anymore in *********. Would you think ********* would shut them down to protect their tourism?

      Avoid this place at all costs. found this company on Priceline, which seems pretty cheap. So I decided to rent because I needed transportation to go to work. I requested that any extra service be removed since I had already prepaid through the Priceline website. At the end of the month when I saw my credit card statement, I was shocked. I saw 4 extra transactions of $194 each from this ************ (Nu Car Rental), with a total of approximately $776. I kindly called the customer service number, to see what was going on, as I believed these charges were mistaken, but unfortunately, I was mistreated over the phone, and after they hung up on me, only then, I realized what kind of swindlers I was dealing with.I feel regret that I didn't take the chance to read the comments and reviews before my rental since I was not aware they have a habit of stealing money from customers and sneaking extra charges on the contract as you can see in other comments. Unfortunately, I had to take this to the next level and filed a complaint at ********************* and with the San Mateo Consumer District attorney.They don't only have a bad reputation, poor customer service, and a bad attitude toward consumers, but their level of dishonesty is to the point where they make their employees write fake reviews on this platform to attract more victims.

      TERRIBLE! DO NOT RENT FROM NU!They used the old bait and switch - low price quoted with add on charges when you are at the counter. Added charges for tolls I did not need, insurance coverage I did not need (they required proof of my auto insurance at the counter, which I do not travel with.) They were rude. We had to wait for the shuttle. The car rental location is 10 minutes from the ***************. We waited 20 minutes to be picked up. When we went to fly home, it took over 45 minutes from the time we arrived at the rental drop off to the time we arrived at the terminal.

      If I could leave no stars, I would. I rented a vehicle through Priceline for Nu Car Rentals. To start off, there was no one in the building when I arrived, so it was confusing on what to do. After realizing I had to talk to customer service through video chat, I thought things would move forward easily. I live in SC and have full coverage (comprehension and collision) and was charged an extra $190 for "insurance coverage," even though I've been renting cars for years and never had to pay extra because I have sufficient car insurance through USAA. I needed the car and decided to move forward. Once I got the car and drove off, within the first 10 minutes, multiple lights came on in the car. Warning light, check engine, tire light, sensor lights; I called Nu Car to let them know of the issue and that I would like to trade the car in, and they insisted that this was normal and I DID NOT need to trade the car and they weren't sure if they would be able to give me another vehicle. I turned around, took the car back, and had to wait for "a manager" to say I could trade for a different car. This was disappointing since I've never experienced a rental place that does not accommodate, especially if THEIR vehicle has issues. I got the second vehicle from them and about an hour into my drive the tire light came on, by then I was too far and decided to put air in the tire. I was meant to have the rental from February 6th through the 25th. I only kept the car for a week because I had to put air in the tire every day and then the engine light came on the last 3 days. The company would not refund me my money and also told me they would bill MY INSURANCE for the tire going flat even though they gave me a car that was not maintained. This was the WORST rental experience I ever had. Additionally, the car was not cleaned and had no service for months. They are now telling Priceline I will be charged. Horrible rental experience and no one should use them.

      Scam!!! They book you cheap online and then upsell you HUNDREDS of dollars on insurance, or insist on a 5k-7k ** dollar hold!!! Like their POS vehicles are worth half that. And you're waaaay off site, so you have to Uber to another car rental place as they leave you stranded and you can't use their shuttle back unless you pay. Stay away!!!!
