      I recently rented a car from nu car out of **************. The reservation was booked through Priceline. I was quoted a price with taxes and fees. At the rental counter the taxes and fees were tripled. The agent also lied and told ***** we had an issue with the vehicle and it was out of service we would have to pay the daily loss of revenue to the company. I have vehicle insurance they said my insurance would not cover the loss of revenue, I ended up taking the insurance under false pretenses. This car rental company should not be taking advantage of customers. My initial estimate was $222 my final cost was $515.

      If there is zero star I would give them a zero ??. This is scammer company charges are duplicate, a lot of hidden charges.

      The worst!!! I havwe been calling them for severals months to get an ipass toll paid and no one has called me back yet. I call there customer service and they are of no help they just give me another number to call that doesn't go to a live *** and that's something they don't have. The v.m box is full so I can't even leave a message. I was given the wrong email multiple times to contact them via email until today month 3. I am so furious about this and just want to pay my bill and move on. I will never use their services again. Worst experience ever their employees do not even care to help you. I also could not speak to a manger about this since they don't have one then was told they are not available.

      I was scammed into prepaying for toll road which I didnt use. The agent said I would get my money back if I didnt use it.I waited a month for a refund and never got it.I called to tell them and they said I only seven days to get refund. The agent didnt say that.

      I went through a travel center from *******. I picked ** Car Rental and paid upfront. When we got to the ** ************* to get our car, we went to the clerk. I told him we already paid. I said why are there more charges to rent the car? He said he didn't see that we had paid and it would all come out at the end. I said I would pay to fill up the tank at the rental place. I didn't need anything else. He said I needed to take the minimum insurance otherwise I couldn't rent the car. He gave me a sheet to sign and put my initials. I put my initials on the spots. Looking at it closely now, one of those was ***** a day for loss damage waiver and 7.99 a day for roadside assistance. I already have my own comprehensive car insurance that will pay for those costs. I didn't need them. I can't get my money back but I want to warn other people.

      I rented a car from NU Car Rentals in ******* for $300 through Expedia for a 9-day trip, thinking it was a good deal. However, I needed to extend my rental for an additional 5 days, so I called their customer service for assistance. They instructed me to handle the extension directly at the rental ******* my shock, when I arrived, they charged me a whopping $800 just to extend for 5 daysover twice what I paid for the initial 9 days! This pricing is completely unreasonable, and the lack of transparency and assistance from customer service made things worse.I would strongly advise against using NU Car Rentals. There are plenty of other rental companies with fairer pricing and better service. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

      I was over charged at pick up.. was quoted ****** but once statement came in it was ****** called and was basically made a fool said I shouldve read the fine print on the iPad he had me sign.. and woth his poor English grammar , small kids, baggage and long flight id think they would be honest. The vehicle was nice n clean however not to the fact of an over ****** over charge. They should reimburse some of that money back.. tolls which stay area had zero, insurance I was charged 2 times for. Extra drivers that didnt drive but because they was with me was charged DO NOT EVER RENT A VEHICLE from them

      First of all , I was send pick up information and was told to go outside to wait for shuttle to rental car centre at airport. No shuttle .You have to take sky train to rental car centre then take they shuttle offsite to their rental centre. Waited 25 minutes in line to talk to agent . They didnt give me the electric car that I reserved . They told me that my insurance wasnt allowed and had to purchase their insurance. They also charge me for road side assistance. I was also charged the local fees and taxes that are stated to be included . I booked the rental with a price of ****** CDN and was also charged with $320.19 CDN by nu car rentals . This is absolutely absurd to pay over $500 CDN for a two day rental . I finally got a car 45 minutes later than I booked it for and I started at10:30 . I will never recommend or us this company again

      Do NOT rent from this company. All the stories in the reviews below are the same as mine, with one exception, we were scammed into pre-paying tolls. I was in an area that has excessive toll charges, so I brought my own transponder that was approved by that state. The clerk told me it wouldn't work with his cars becasue they "block" them. This did not make any sense to me. I asked how he could do that and he replied with broken English that I suspect was fake. I never did get a satisfactory answer so I declined. Finally, we were told to go outside to a booth to pickup our keys and car. The man at the booth tried to sell us vacation packages! It had the same vibe as the old time share sellers. Anyway, my friend is always nervous about things and since the car was in her name she decided to go back and purchase the pre-pay toll. It was $13.99 X 4 (for four days) that came to $55.96. I didn't go inside with my friend when she paid this and we were long gone by the time she told me. To put this into perspective, I would not use $55.96 in tolls in that state in a year, let alone for four days. Not only is my friend the nervous type, but she is also gullible and that is exactly the type of people they prey on!

      This car company is full of dishonest and lying agents, having very bad businesses practices.Deceiving customers with products and charges they did not ask for.I would not suggest that anybody does business with NU car.I have been renting cars for business for over 40 years a never had such a bad experience.
