I re-ordered checks in January. I paid for trackable shipping and according to DHL my shipment has been lost or undeliverable and I need to contact Harland Clarke. That is impossible. I have attempted to contact them multiple times on many different days. I have exhausted every option on their automated system and either get hung up on or wait on hold for hours. I ordered checks on 1/13/23. Received email confirming shipment on 1/14/23. It is now 2/3/23 and still have not received the checks. I called Harland Clarke and the representative said I should have received them by now but there's no tracking so she couldn't locate the checks. She didn't seem to know what to do and wanted to consult with her supervisor. She offered to reissue the checks. I brought up the security concern of my checks being reissued with the same account number, knowing that there are undelivered checks somewhere out there that can be cashed by anyone. She assured me that I wouldn't have to change my account numbers. That's obviously wrong. Reissuing doesn't solve the problem. My checks are still out there with all my information. I now have to call my bank to stop those undelivered checks, close my account, open a new account, and notify all the financial institutions associated with that account. It's a huge inconvience over something as simple as delivering a package. According to their numerous complaints on BBB and yelp, this company has a track record of losing customer ********************** on a regular basis. They clearly have a problem with their shipping method and has done nothing to address it. For a company that delivers packages with sensitive information, shouldn't they have a secure method of delivery? These are people's account numbers "lost in the mail." It's disturbing how many checks have been lost and how this company is allowed to continue operating.Business Response

We appreciate ************** feedback on her experience when speaking with our Harland Clarke representative. ********** confirmed that she placed the order shipping to the correct address and chose non-trackable delivery in lieu of our trackable methods. We have confirmed the order was produced and shipped without incident. Due to the amount of time that has passed since the order left our facility, this order is deemed lost within ***** and it would be proper to report the lost order to the financial institution to determine appropriate security measures for the account. On 1/17/2023 I ordered checks. As suggested I paid $14.49 for Trackable Check Protect. I received my checks on 1/27/2023. They were not sent by this method. I checked online at my order. There was a blue 'Track Your Order' button. When I clicked on it, the response was 'bad request'. I made multiple attempts to contact Harland/Clarke by phone and each time received the message 'for the security of your account please contact your financial institution.' I called my credit union. The person tried to help me but in the end told me to contact shipping (DHL). I called DHL and talked with them. Since there is no tracking number they could not help, which is completely understandable.There is no apparent way to talk to a real person at Harland/Clarke.Since I did not receive 'Trackable Check Protect', I would like the $14.49 refunded to my account.Thank you.Initial Complaint

I am trying to reach Harland Clarke regarding an order of checks that I have not received. I have tried the customer service number 4 times selecting various options. Similar to other complaints I have seen, I ordered checks from Harland Clarke at the end of December 2022, still have not received checks weeks after the expected date. I was charged for these checks at the beginning of January. I went to check the order status online and it claims I have not ordered anything from them before, even though they charged me. I ordered checks from Harland Clarke OrderMyChecks.com on 1/6/23. The checks were delivered on 1/18/23, but part of my order was missing: Standard Register Bundles of 2, 2-pack 1 unit. I was charged a total of $10.51 ($9.82 + .69 tax). All I received was the booklet with the checks and the complimentary ledger, and the 2-pack register bundle was not in the shipping package nor in the check booklet.I attempted to call Harland Clarke but was repeatedly hung up on. We attempted to reach ****************** via phone on January 25th and February 7th and via email on February 7th to gather more information to assist him with his concerns. As of April 3, 2023, we have not received a response to our voicemails or email. A credit has been submitted for $10.51. This complaint has been documented for future reference.

I ordered checks that were supposedly send out on 12/23/2022.They were estimated for delivery on 1/5/23.They have not been delivered.I would like a refund for these checks.I have tried to talk to someone at Harland Clarke multiple times and they have NO human customer service.Business Response

On behalf of Harland Clarke, we apologize for any inconvenience Ms. ******** (***) Pitcher may have encountered with her recent check order experience.
******************************* placed her check order on December 22, 2022 which shipped non-trackable, **** bulk mail. In our contact with ******************, we issued a goodwill credit for that charge of $40.86 and have placed a replacement rush order with next check range at no charge.
****************** has informed her financial institution, and they have placed a stop payment on the undelivered check order. The replacement order is shown to have been delivered on January 23, 2023.
Further, we recently implemented a change with our contact center consumer phone line that Ms. Pitcher would contact for inquiries and reorders. The line directs consumers whose orders fall within a recent timeframe to our digital channels (web or phone automated system) and/or her financial institution for order status. Thank you for the feedback as we continue to review our internal processes for improvement opportunities.

Checks were ordered in Nov 2022. The recording tells you the checks were delivered on December 6th but there is no tracking information. To date checks still have not arrived. I've tried following up on the order only to be disconnected by a recording after holding for several minutes. No matter what number I call, I'm disconnected. They have debited the money from our bank account, there is no tracking information on the order so you can't even find out where the checks were mailed to. It takes hours to go thru all their FAQ's with no results. Several consumer complaints on this site, wish I could have found those before I ordered the checks.Initial Complaint

On 11/26/22 I received a confirmation email that my order was received. It is now 1/9/23 and I have not received my check order. Mr. ********;placed his check order on November 26, 2022 with CheckProtect delivery service. On December 27, 2022, **** returned Mr. **** check order (check range #***-180) due to Temporarily Away. All returned checks were properly destroyed. In our contact with **********, we have issued a replacement rush order with the same check range at no charge. The replacement order was delivered on January 12, 2023.
Further, we recently implemented a change with our contact center consumer phone line that ********** would contact for inquiries and reorders.
