I received a brand new $150 Harland ***** Gift Card. When I went to activate the gift card to use the phone number said that the account had been closed. When I waited to speak to a customer service representative I was never connected. I was left on hold until I was disconnected. When I called back trying to speak to someone again I was left on hold until disconnected. The card says I can check my balance on the website, but there is no place to do so. When I try calling the company main telephone number in TX and I press 0 for assistance it is immediately disconnected.Business Response

Our research confirmed the gift card ending in **** has the following transaction history:
04/04/2018 The card was loaded with $150.
05/01/2019 A $5 fee started to be applied. Once a card is inactive for 12 months, a $5 fee starts in month 13.
10/01/2021 The last $5 fee was applied to the card and the balance became $0.
11/01/2021 The card closed on the first of the month after the last fee was applied.
Every card sold by a financial institution should be provided with card packaging containing the terms and conditions set by VISA. However, the fee information is provided in the card package, on the card itself, and on the gift card website under FAQ and Cardholder agreement. https://www.harlandclarkegiftcard.com/#/
The 800# on the card and in the packaging goes to the card issuer, who handles all direct consumer questions. We have no record of any issues with this partner number.
A replacement card is not available due to the card meeting the terms of sale. We apologize for the experience you had with your gift card. If you require further assistance, please contact the financial institution or other entity from which the card was received.

this company has been delivering unwanted newspapers to our entire neighborhood every Tuesday. There was no authorization or permission request. I have requested to be removed from the mailing list twice yet am still receiving the unwanted literature. This is a safety concern for our entire neighborhood. Early July I ordered checks from Harland Clarke. On July 27, 2022 $41.15 was debited from my bank a/c. Order # listed as 1ZLN29010300200. Have not received the checks to date. The automated message on the 800 no. states that the checks were shipped out on July 20, 2022.Business Response

9/20/22 **************** called and was provided direction based on the age of the order that the checks would be considered lost in the mail. **************** agreed to notify her bank for precautionary measures. An expedited reprint was offered at no cost after she received the bank's guidance.
9/28/22 **************** has not called back for a reprint at this time. However, we are happy to help when she is ready.

I ordered checks from Harland Clarke, and their automated system says they were mailed out on July 13. I still have NOT received my checks, and no one will answer ANY of their customer service numbers! It gets to the section that says it's sending you to customer service, but instead an automated voice says "zero", and immediately hangs up. I have just this second, gotten a ************ customer service person to stop the check numbers that are missing, and reissue new ones. We will see how this goes, going forward. Vericast Marketing is a marketer of consumer products. Once a week on Saturday, someone throughs a weekly flyer for different consumer products. Not everyone in our neighborhood receives the flyer, and I don't know how I made the list to receive the flyer. I have tried on various occasions to stop the delivery in front of my house to no avail. ******** hides behind the internet, so you can't talk to anyone.I am tired of the liter left weekly in front of my house which has to be picked up before it is scattered though out the neighborhood. I have tried to contact Vericast Marketing, but they don't care there is an issue. I believe they receive compensation from advertisers based upon the number of fliers delivered, so stopping the delivery is not in their best interest. On 8/30/2022, the request to remove ********************************* from the Vericast Marketing mailing list was submitted. After further investigation, ****************** complained that he continued to receive the unwanted fliers. On 09/09/2022, our distributor was contacted again to make sure all deliveries to this address are stopped. It was confirmed on 09/19/2022 that ****************** has not received delivery in the last 2 weeks.

I ordered checks on June 23, 2022 through Herland Clarke website and haven't received my checks. The online status says it was shipped on June 30, 2022 but as of today on 7/25/2022, haven't received my checks. I called twice on the phone number provided and followed instructions to connect with an agent to speak with me. The next thing the computer says to proceed with the website. On the website, they don't have any inquiry form, they say call us at the given number. And the number after calling says to proceed on the website. I am stuck and frustrated know after waiting for so many days to get my checks.Business Response

9/16/2022 Your BBB complaint was received, and research was initiated.
9/20/2022, A first attempt was made to reach you, **************, via email ******************** to discuss the concern.
9/28/2022 A second contact attempt was made via email to no avail. Confirmation was recorded on this day that your June 2022 order was returned to Harland Clarke by **** as "attempted not known". All contents were accounted for and destroyed.

I ordered a check cover from one of Harland Clarke check affiliates; however, they sent the wrong cover. Trying to contact the check affiliate has been nearly impossible. The check affiliate phone number is all automated and continually hangs up on me. The email is almost as useless. I am just trying to obtain the correct check cover case. How hard can that be? The check ordering affiliate is www.ordermychecks.com. I have been unable to contact anyone at ordermychecks. Thank you.
