An ACH withdrawal appeared on my bank account this morning 3/13, for $37.87 from Harland Clarke. No idea who this is. Upon researching on ******* I discover who they are and that this seems to be normal behavior for these people. I want my money refunded ASAP!!! Too many frauds out there and I am sick of it. Ordered checks in early February. It is March 6th as of today. **************** number kicks you after entering all of your info. All the site says is it shipped on the 12th. I still do not have my checks. No email with tracking. No representative to talk to. No idea where these papers with my routing and account number are and seemingly no way to find out.Business Response

We appreciate ********************************************* feedback on her recent check order experience and apologize for any inconvenience she may have encountered. ****************** confirmed that she placed the order shipping to the correct address and chose non-trackable delivery in lieu of our trackable methods. We have confirmed the order was produced and shipped without incident. Due to the amount of time that has passed since the order left our facility, this order is deemed lost within ***** and it would be proper to report the lost order to the financial institution to determine appropriate security measures for the account. On March 4, 2024, we submitted a credit for ****************** initial order for $25.23 and offered a replacement order at no charge. Never received checks that I ordered.Checks were never delivered to me and the tracking number stated that there was a problem with delivery and to contact Harland Clarke to cancel and let them know but you cannot contact them because you can never get a live person on the phone number they provide. So you as the consumer have no way to cancel the order you never received. Plus I have to worry about who may have my checks so I had to call my bank and have them cancel the checks that I never received on my first order. Our contact with ************* concluded that her order was placed on January 29, 2024, and shipped on January 31st via trackable delivery. We have notified our delivery carrier that ************* did not receive her check order and confirmed the order has not been returned to Harland Clarke. Consequently, the order is considered lost in the mail. *********** has advised that her financial institution has placed a stop payment on this order and no further action is needed. As a business courtesy, we requested two credits for $1.65 each on March 5th. We searched Harland Clarke, as we have in the past, to order personal checks and the website and business turned out to be Ordermychecks.com, through which we made our order. We dont know if they had been the same as before, but this has been a very poorly handled, unprofessional and unacceptable experience. These are checks; a serious business. This was on January 30th and we paid for one of the expedited shippings. We received a confirmation email notifying us that the checks would arrive by the 7th of February. It is February 13th, and nothing has arrived, so we called the company. All they were able to tell us (the initial representative, and then her supervisor) was that the only information they had was an issue with their production area. We stated that we were given no updates about any problem and had we not called, we would not have received any. We spent a long time on the phone with both people and neither was able to give us an acceptable explanation. Some important checks needed to be issued yesterday, and we find ourselves with none and have no possibility of reaching our financial entity today. These are important checks and the lack of seriousness of this company has put us in a terrible bind. Had we had some follow up, we could have decided to order them elsewhere. The supervisor said she would continue her research and hopefully overnight them. Of course, we expected a refund on the shipping and she said wed receive a full refund. We still had no answers on the issue itself at this point, however, and are very uneasy and have little confidence in this company actually sending the checks,Business Response

Our Supervisor, ********, was able to speak to ************** on 2/13 regarding her concerns with the processing of her order. We apologized for the delay and her check order was then expedited through production and shipped with Overnight delivery. ***** tracking shows the package was delivered to ************** on 2/14. We regret any inconvenience and concerns she may have experienced. We processed a full refund to her credit card on 2/20. Ordered checks in May when I pulled my last book of checks. Never received my order. Realized in October when I only had two checks left. Attempted to contact Harland Clarke by phone (many, many, many times) only to be run through the automated system which hangs up when it is supposed to take you to a representative. E-mailed the company and recieved a response with instructions to hit 0 or #. This information is inaccurate and results in the same hang up. E-mailed again, new instructions to hit ****# in place of my account number; same automated system same results. Was texted a link to the same phone number with an extension on it today (December 12th, I've been working on this for 3 months now) and this eventually got me to a person. Person rudely informed me that they will not refund or reprint after 4 months (ridiculous for a company dealing with "secure" products). I asked to speak with her manager or supervisor and was hung up on.... again. Have an appointment with my banks regional manager to attempt to remedy this. My money needs to be refunded ($43.62) and checks numbered 1850-2009 voided as I have no idea where they may be if they were ever printed and sent. This is not the first problem I've had with this company. Twenty years ago I had ordered checks that didn't show up so I had to reorder a few weeks later. Then both orders showed up the same week so I had enough checks for over a decade.Business Response

We confirmed the order was not returned to Harland Clarke and, consequently, is considered lost in the mail. On October 16, 2023 I opened a checking and savings account with ********** in ***********, **. In the past when I opened a new account a few temporary checks were provided the same day. ********** does not do that and the ** rep said they could not order checks for two weeks as a precaution. However, she said she would try to order them that day. I asked that the checks be delivered to the *********** branch because I thought it would be safer.I checked with the bank in two weeks and the rep said they have not received the checks. I waited another two weeks and the checks still had not arrived. My account was charged $27 for the checks. The rep said they must have been mis-delivered by the **** because she checked with ****** Checks and they were sent. The rep said I should open a new account with them, which I refuse to do. I do not want two accounts floating around out there.I spoke with the main ********** Customer Service to see if they could talk to ****** Checks and the rep said they could not. He did tell me that the checks had been ordered on October 26 and shipped on teh 27th. He also gave me the number for ****** and I called them to see if they could do anything. There was no tracking on the checks so no way of knowing where they are. They allowed me to order another 80 checks and said the bank would have to void the first order. The bank rep refused and again wanted me to open another account.Sadly, I'm concerned that someone at the bank has the first set of checks. I am going to close my accounts and find another bank. Based on these complaints this is a common experience. Because of the increased danger of checks being stolen ****** Checks and/or the banks must track every package to prevent theft. I'm sure the banks could get a very reduced price for tracking for every order.Business Response

I ordered some checks from Harland ***** back in October and I received the checks totaling 80 of them and on November 1 at 10:58. They charged me $31.20 to my checking account and at 11:02 they charged me $26.75. I have tried every number I can find to get this problem worked out but none of them will let you speak to a person. I dont know how they can have a customer service that doesnt let you talk to anybody or leave a message.. I just want an explanation for the two charges, and either more checks for one of the charges or return money of one of the charges.Business Response

I mistakenly ordered checks from this company, turns out they are no longer affiliated with my bank, which has since changed names and routing numbers. i tried to cancel the order within an hour of placing it. NONE of the phone numbers listed on website allowed a cancel option. NONE of the phone numbers listed on the website go to a real person. I was able to see the order online but there was no option to cancel it. The website indicated that there was no option to cancel an order online and to call the number listed, which, as i have indicated, doesn't allow a cancelation, doesn't go to a live person, and further-after you enter all your banking information-tells you to call your bank and hangs up on you. my online contact/email to the company was answered days later and told me that they couldn't cancel the order via email and I should call and speak to them directly. The number provided was of course one of the numbers i had already tried which did nothing and would not go to a live person (I tried it again with the same result). I finally had to go to my bank and get a stop payment applied to this company as that seems to be the only option. Stop payment cost me $35.00.Business Response

I hope BBB verifies the business has updated their website to allow consumers to both cancel orders online and allows consumers to contact a person to troubleshoot issues. I believe I have received refunds for my expenses in dealing with this order but the process was unnecessarily difficult. I was only contacted by someone who could actually help me after I filed this complaint.
