I wont give one star to this store because I have never had such problems with anyone and terrible, awful service I had with Visionworks at the Garden City location. On February 17th 2023, I was waiting for an 1 hours to be accepted and they told glasses ll be ready in two weeks. After 10 days (on February 27th 2023) I called them to know my order status. In 10 days they didnt do anything plus they didnt know where ****** put them. I went to the store after 10 days ( on February 27th 2023) again to check whats going on with my order. Again I waited for 40 minutes when I start make complaint i want to see manager. They accepted and talked me they told me they already ordered glasses. During 4 days I decided to call them again no one answer but they have customer service I talked with customer service 30 minutes she tried to call store manager to know status my daughters glasses . I visited store 2 times in 10 days . On March 3rd 2023(after 2 weeks ) I came to the VisionWorks store I spoke with manager and she saw on computer that anyone didnt order glasses yet. Store manager made order after 2 weeks of waiting. My daughter was struggling with eye sight for 2 weeks without glasses. I do not recommend anyone to contact them

I went here to get my eye exam and was told by the doctor that the contact brand I have worn for many years wernt going to be continued much longer so it was pointless to write a prescription for them and had to try another brand which before leaving I expressed several times that they were not comfortable he gave me some eye drops and said to try them for a few days and if were still uncomfortable to call and he would order some other trials. I took them out and called them a day later letting them know and was told he would order new trials and would get a call when they were in. A few weeks have gone by and I have heard nothing so called today to check back and was told my contact prescription was finalized and no notes or knowledge of any trials and I then was told that I would have to come back in to be examined again before going forward. I explained that didn't make since and had just lost my job and can't afford to drive back there for no reason. I don't have the contacts he had me try and unless he orders different trials for me to to try when I make the trip to try them I shouldn't have to come back in. I then asked to talk to the doctor or have him call me and was told no. Then was cut off, talked over and hung up on. I am very stressed out about this. Hopefully others will go elsewhere. Very unprofessional.

Me and my family have been going to this eye clinic for glasses and contacts for years. There was a lady by the name of **** that worked there that we always tried to get because she was amazing friendly and knew what she was doing. She has since retired or left to another store no longer works there and we have had nothing all of us all family members horrible service. We feel like none of the techs or people working there know what theyre doing. It takes them hours to look up insurance get your appointment get your glasses, ordered and walk out of there by the time you leave you have a horrible headache this is happened to me, my husband and my daughter on more than one occasion the only reason we still continue going there is for insurance purposes, I did try contacting them to get some results. I sent an email and it said that someone would contact me from the store I have yet to hear from them they said it would take 48 hours and it has been months. I would rather go somewhere else and pay full price and return to the store and use my insurance for my amazing benefits . They need more education and training and more staff.

I bought prescription sunglasses using my Guardian Davis Vision insurance. I returned my prescription sunglasses after a few days because the brown tint was making me dizzy. Because I returned them, my insurance coverage benefits will be suspended for 60-90 days, even though I'm still paying for my monthly vision insurance premium. Is this even legal to take hostage a vision premium because of a return, that is well within the 100 day return policy?

I called to get the price of an eye exam without insurance and was told it was $89. I booked an appointment and was later informed the price was actually $125 even though their automated system is still saying 89. Extremely deceptive. Glad I found out before actually going to the appointment

I bought a pair of Prescribed safety glasses on 12/29/22 from store # *** in *****, **. The store associate told me that hey would arrive on 1/19/23 and that I would receive a call or text when they were delivered to the store. That never happened, so on 1/23/23 I went into the store to check the status and was told that the glasses were never made due to the fact the frames were not available. I was really upset because no one called me to let me know this. The associate never apologized, only said " you can just order another pair". Talking about lacking customer service or empathy!!! I told them, I don't have time for this and I had to head to work. A week went by and I came back on Sunday 1/29/23 and spoke with ****. I asked for a full refund as the glasses were never made, she said she was dealing with a new system and she didn't know how to complete the refund. She showed me an invoice for the cancellation but refused to give me a copy, stating that she didn't know how to complete the return in the new system. She assured me she would have the store manager ****** would call complete the return and call me on Monday 1/30/23, but again today is Wednesday 2/1/23 and I have yet to hear from the store manager or receive my return. This store never answers the phones either, Even when I was in the store ordering my original pair back in December, they just let the phone ring instead of answering it!!! I attempted to file a complaint with the corporate office but just gets rerouted to the online chat which is actually a AI instead of a real person. I would never do business with Vison Works again.

Over two years ago, the office provided an in-person American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter as an accommodation that went seamlessly for everyone involved.A few weeks ago, I made another request for my annual appointment; the office indicated that they would provide Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) instead of an in-person ASL interpreter. I explained that this particular accommodation wouldn't work for me for several reasons. The office manager apologized and cited it is a company-wide policy to use VRI instead of retaining an in-person ASL interpreter. There is nothing further they can do. I explained to them that the company should (actually needs to...) procure accommodation based on the person with disabilities choice because there is no "one-size-fits-all" to each person's disability. They mentioned that they would contact someone in the **************** to ensure my request was honored.Upon arrival at the facility, I was the first person. There was no interpreter available upon my query. The customer service representative handed their tablet with VRI on the screen readily to interpret everything. The interpreter couldn't perform the essential role of justifying the accommodation. I asked the representative to check with an ophthalmologist to determine whether this accommodation was feasible.A short while later, the representative mentioned that the accommodation would not work for an ophthalmologist either and asked to reschedule an appointment. Why cannot they (providers) listen to me, as a person with a disability, on what accommodation works best in the first place? No, they thought their accommodation(s) would be better for me and in their favor, completely disregarding my requests. To all providers out there, you need to "LISTEN" to your customers; they know best for themselves based on their life-long experiences with their "NOT-ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL" disabilities.I have to reschedule the appointment again, sigh!-****, ADAC *** Coordinator

I scheduled an appointment on line went to the store in **** at the Delco Plaza location and I wasnt in the book. There was no apology just told I would have to reschedule. Another appointment was made for me. I went in for it and was told again;there was no appointment for me (im so angry) I schedule for the third time and contact customer service to get corporate involved. The third appointment was the following Wednesday. I go in for the appointment and ** told its going to be an appointment done by a technician and then I would talk to a Doctor on line. I said absolutely not I scheduled to see a doctor and thats what I want. Sooo Im scheduled for a fourth time to go in the following Saturday. When the girl scheduled me she put in the schedule DO NOT RESCHEDULE, DO NOT MOVE THIS APPOINTMENT!I left and called corporate again and left them know what was going on and told them the district manager still had not called me. This made 3 calls requesting the district manager call me. I told the customer service representative at this point I felt the company owes me a free pair of glasses.Well it is Friday night the day before my appointment. I get a call telling me they have to reschedule my appointment!!!!! I told them that they were not rescheduling or changing my appointment and they said they had to because it was a scheduling conflict.I said thats not my problem, I will be there at my scheduled time and I WILL be seen. I said corporate is involved and trust me you dont want to mess with my appointment. I showed up for my appointment had my eyes examined found out my optical nerve is enlarged and scheduled elsewhere for special testing. Then I finally heard from the district manager. They agreed to the free glasses for everything I went through. I went to the Hanover store to get them. They ordered them and they came back. I picked them up but I cant wear them, because the prescription is apparently wrong!! The district mgr was called and no reply!
