The builder of this company (LGI in Fairburn Ga) is very unprofessional. I have placed several work orders on-line through their customer care app. The builder refuses to speak with me in reference to when someone will be coming out to correct the issues. I have placed 3 service orders he has not completed any order and states on line they were completed. This is a brand new build. That should not have door lock issues, window issues and toilet issues. The office manager refuses to assist and states you can only speak with the builder and will not give any information on who can assist with getting these issues fixed. I had one service request put in when I first purchased my home. The builder stated the only time someone can come fix the door lock (which should have been corrected before I moved in) is between 7am-10am. I had someone wait at my house (all day while I was working) due to the fact I have a job and work during those hours. No one ever came or called to reschedule. The builder text me on a Sunday stating they would be out on a another(without prior notice) since the original day they were scheduled they were in the neighborhood and didn't come to my home. The company clearly wants the home owner to work on their schedule instead of working around the home owners schedule when it comes to their mistakes. No one from this company has reached out except the sales associate who has tried his best to help. The builder ignored every request I have made. I attempted to request his boss contact number and email and he stated he does not have it. It very dishearten to purchase a brand new home with so many issues and the builder refusing to fix any. This is my third home with this being the second new build and it has been the worst experience ever.

My rights as a customer under the consumer protection rights have been violated due to shoddy building construction and poor installation. My roof had to be replaced in 3 years. The siding to my house was not properly installed. Other houses in this community siding is falling apart. The 1 year inspection was not honored. After I made several calls to company to adhered to their policies were not honored. Also, I followed all protocols and was given a bunch of negative responses. I have bad Sheetrock work and I was also told it would be taking cared of during my closing and to no avail it was not completed. They say that they homes and services are back by a 12 month warranty and a 10 year structural warranty, but I was informed that I needed to hammer the nails back through my siding because it was considered normal wear and tear. My siding is cracked and have an 1/8 of separation between boards and in some areas the boards are warped. I was told the siding was hardy board and it is not. I should not have be able to see nails at all in my siding. The construction manager here was fired right before the house was completed due to his bad management of the construction here in this at that time new community. It is said that pride and customer satisfaction is their goal but It has not been obtained in this community. The house siding looks terrible and improperly installed. Ultimately, I and others in this community feel widely mislead in the quality of construction. Neighbors fences have fallen within 2 years of completion. My and other garage doors have been improperly installed as well. In two years I had to pay $1300.00 to have it replaced. My siding will cost about $30,000.00 to be replaced. The electrical boxes breakers in this community have to be replaced due to their shortages in varies areas of the house. I do want to continue anymore. I have respected this company, but LGI homes and staff have ** me in all communications.

Hi Arnez, we are disappointed to hear that you have been unsatisfied with the construction of your home. Our homes undergo several inspections throughout the construction process to ensure quality, and as you have mentioned, we do include a 12-month workmanship warranty and a 10-year structural warranty with our homes. When requested, we also do an 11-month sheetrock inspection where we can address some of the nail pops or other items that arise due to settling during the first year. We are unable to locate records of any warranty claims to determine the reason that your concerns were not addressed, but we can confirm that you are still covered by your 10-year structural warranty. If you have any concerns you believe will be covered by this warranty, we invite you to submit a claim.

At communication on what they need from you instead they will just choose to deny you then working with you efficiently .Over all sales manager Jerry is great with communication until the end it’s a disappearance . I REPEAT DO NOT PACK WHEN THEY TELL YOU TO OR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WILL BE LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME FOR.

Hi Tay, we're extremely sorry to hear that you did not have a great experience with your loan officer. We work with a preferred lender, so the loan officer is the employee of a third party, but we appreciate your feedback. We will use it to evaluate what we can do to improve the experience of working with the loan company to make it as seamless as possible for our customers.

I would never recommend LGI to someone looking for a home. We built/purchased in 2022 and the entire experience from going under contract up to our "11 month walk through" today has been a terrible. The customer service is nonexistent, never clear answers, zero follow through, and the workmanship of the homes are awful. Our home looks like we have lived in it for years and it hasn't even been one year. If something isn't right they just caulk/spackle over it. Almost every piece of sheetrock in our home looks like it was dropped, rough edges that are just painted over. We had to call them twice on our closing day because there was mud and paint throughout the home that was never cleaned up. The 11 month walk through is random people showing up to your home with buckets of spackle instead of someone actually fixing the issue. Our master bath cabinets never had the drawers installed in them, I mentioned this on closing day and was told they were back ordered and when they came in they would install them. Almost a year later, and after trying to get ahold of LGI I still do not have drawers in my master bath. I have called every phone number I can find for LGI and left voicemails for someone to return my call and crickets. For a companies website to say "we exceed our customers expectations for quality and value" they really underwhelm my expectations!

Hi Ms. *********, we are disappointed to hear that you have been unsatisfied with your experience. We take pride in our quality, but we know items can come up after closing. Each of our homes are backed by a 12-month workmanship warranty and a 10-year structural warranty so that these items can be addressed. We always recommend submitting any items you are concerned about to our online warranty portal, as this allows our management team to track the progress of each item and ensure everything has been addressed.
We see in the warranty portal that you had submitted claims in December 2022 and January 2023; you signed confirming that these items were complete in January 2023 and February 2023, respectively. No other claims were submitted until November 2023, and those are currently being addressed by our team. If you have any other concerns, please feel free to submit a ticket in the portal for our team to review. We appreciate you choosing us for your new home and we hope you enjoy it for many years!

I have made numerous calls to LGI homes to request a refund for my home purchase after I received notification from their preferred lender, **** ****** stating my income is insufficient for the amount of credit requested. I spoke to my sales agent, Allison and her manager (Bakersfield CA)and they refused to return my deposit of $1000. This is misrepresentation of the contract stating “Deposit is refundable when you re unable to obtain financing for the home.” Consumers need to be very careful with LGI when they give you verbal disclosures as well. I was verbally told I would get a lower interest rate than the loan could be financed. I am truly heartbroken that I wasn’t able to get the home I was hoping to be in for the holiday. And now out of $1000. Consumers be aware of LGI homes practices!!

Hi Ms. *******, we are concerned to hear your feedback. The earnest money is certainly refundable when a customer attends their loan application and is unable to obtain financing. We see that the financing was not the reason provided for cancellation in our system, which would be why your earnest money has not been approved for financing.

Sorry to send an email like this but me and my wife are disappointed that the future of getting a home at the ** ****** most likely won't happen. We went in there and spoke to a person called Leon. We told him our situation and he pulled a hard credit report ( not sure why a hard one since this will possibly hurt us ). We also had 20% to put down. My credit was what he now says on the phone needs to be a 620 and that is not what he said when he produced the 559 one. Which I see online as 606. My wife's credit and employment were fine. So, he says I can go get a job and produce 4 paychecks and come back in and we can work something out. Because I had more questions, I called him and then sent him more information in an email. Thats how I got his email address. I then went there when I had no response and he said that me and my wife had to come together and to make an appointment. So, I had gathered more documents and sent an email with a question as to what time would work for him to meet. No response. I then sent an email asking if he received my emails and nothing. So, in a phone call today he said yes, he did receive my emails and now I need to work for 6 months and get my score up to a 620. So, I was shocked to hear this as because of his comments I started a new Job on Monday 09/25. So, me and my wife are thinking we are on our way to getting a new home in the most perfect location for us, which is ** ******. His customer service skill lack skill. His statements to us on what he said we need were not true. So now we are disappointed and now what. The place we wanted and me getting a job was based on his recommendation. My brain says I am tired of people taking advantage of us. I want to just come and picket the place and tell everyone what happened. I want to post everywhere what happened to us. We are more than just a number for a salesperson to take advantage of. I told him I was going to write someone higher, and he said go ahead. So I am. Thanks

I submitted an earnest money deposit on September 12th for the potential home I may purchase, in Hopewell, VA. Began to proceed with an application and decided to use my own lenders instead of their preferred lender. The reason I wanted to use my own lender, due to possibly shopping the rates from others. I have an addendum to the contract but wasn’t offered my earnest money back. The addendum from their seller clearly states“ buyer will use his own lender.”In addition, I wasn’t approved by the two I applied to. However, I was not returned my earnest money deposit and attempted to call their corporate office to resolve the issue. I have the denial letters from my lenders in accordance with the terms of the purchase agreement, but still was not returned my earnest deposit. I have all the paperwork to show the corporate office that handle these situations.

I am SO glad I did not buy with LGI back in November 2022. I gave a $1000 EMD, excited to buy a newly built…a “together home” as my daughter describes it.
My gut feeling said to carefully read the reviews and think about what you’re about to buy…will I be happy with something that’s not accommodating my wants.
Absolutely NOT! The reps tried to convince me to stay, I even went through with the loan process. NOPE…I saw right through the drywall! Got my $1000 EMD back and never looked back.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND LGI HOMES.

After purchasing the LGI home in Brooksville, Florida, during the walk through the refrigerator wasn’t cold it was running and the freezer was on, but neither were working. LGI Miss lead me to believe the appliances were working as the paperwork reflected so. After receiving the keys, I was told to contact ********* directly… *** ***** the community does not install sprinklers they gave me a hose. This wasn’t told to me I discovered it post closing my bad, but still how cheap.
