  Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They have a 48-hour call return policy THEY DONT CALL. I have heard this three times. So much trouble changing policies. No problem raising rates! ******************* is never available. *** requested a new agent four times - nope. Its so frustrating to be treated so poorly when Im paying so much. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!!

  Terrible at canceling or making changes to policy. I changed my policy from a primary to a rental homeowners policy and I was never notified that there was a 57$ balance due and I basically wasn't covered for over a month. Also canceled a auto policy and took well over a month to get the refund after having to show documents. Other than my agent i couldnt get ahold of a songle person and half of the phone numbers they showed dont work. Worst broker I've ever dealt with. I wish I didnt have to select a star at all for the 5 star rating

  Not a fan. Was referred to this agency when I moved to a state where my previous insurance did not do business. Started off great when I got auto and renters insurance. Time to renew and bought a home. Last week 42 minutes waiting on hold only to be transferred around until I was back to the first person who couldn't help and made me feel stupid because I complained about the inability to contact them directly and the time I wasted on hold. Today I am trying to find out if adding solar is covered by homeowners policy and am waiting 30 minutes now. The agent said no company covers solar panels and yet I see online several insurance companies who advertise that they cover solar included in the policy for no charge. Additionally, I see the policy I was sold is not guaranteed by my state in the event the insurance company should become insolvent. Find yourself an independent agent in your neighborhood where you can walk in and have a conversation. This has been a very disappointing experience. I will likely take my insurance business (home, auto, flood, umbrella) somewhere else. They claim they value your business and then leave you hanging on hold.

  SCAM! We went with this company when we refinanced our home but they didnt set an auto renew for our flood insurance or car insurance and it cost us thousands of dollars to renew after a dropped policy. TRASH COMPANY BE WARNED!

  I was referred to an agent at this location of Goosehead insurance to help me find homeowners insurance. That agent told me that she was unable to sell me homeowners insurance unless I cancelled my current car insurance and bundled with the homeowners policy she was offering, knowing that due to water claims, I had no other options for homeowners at that time. When I agreed, she took my payment over the phone and I got a paid receipt from Goosehead and proceeded to close on the house and move in. Two weeks later, I found out that the insurance did not accept payments through Goosehead and that I had been without coverage for two weeks of living in the home. I resolved that issue and two weeks later received word that the Goosehead insurance agent had requested my policy be cancelled, which was non-reversible. At that point, I'd been living in the house for about a month with coverage for less than a week of that total time. I finally found out that withholding my homeowners insurance unless I bundled my car insurance through Goosehead, the agent had committed what's known as a "tie in" sale and is illegal. This entire experience has been completely unacceptable.

  Absolutely horrible experience! It all began when they tried to charge me fees when they promised there would be none when I first started speaking to the agent. I was able to get those knocked off the contract when I refused to sign it until they were removed. That was nothing compared to what was to come. When I added home security, I sent in the proof for it to be added to my homeowners insurance policy for the discount. The agent made a mistake and created a new policy for me with Travelers. He never acknowledged it. I sent numerous emails asking for it to be removed because I kept getting alerts that payment was due. They finally went to delete that policy and in doing so, THEY CANCELED MY HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE POLICY. The policy that was fully paid by my mortgage when it began. With zero acknowledgement or notice. I got a check in the mail from Travelers for a large sum of money so I questioned it, logged into my account, and found out that my policy was canceled a week prior. It took numerous phone calls and emails to reach an agent. They said that they would reinstate it the policy. They didn't answer any of my questions about how it would affect my mortgage, never apologized, and never sent confirmations. I called and emailed them for days to make sure it was done properly and got very few email responses that did not answer majority of my questions. I had to get my mortgage lender involved to ensure that their issue did not affect my mortgage. Extreme hassle. How does an insurance broker cancel your homeowners insurance and not tell you or care? I was told I cannot switch until the year is up so the second it comes time to renew my policy I will be running as far away from Goosehead as possible.

  Please listen to the other reviewers! This company is a scam. They are threatening to cancel my homeowners insurance policy and I am a first time home buyer. My mortgage company paid them for the first year of the policy at closing and even sent over proof that the check was cashed in April 2023. Now Goosehead is threatening to cancel my policy tomorrow even though they have been paid. Whenever I call, I get a different agent who assures me that they are looking into the issue. But I am never provided with proof that the issue has been resolved and now I am locked out of my user account for the **********************. What a scam!

  They quoted me a home owners renewal policy for over $5000 a year in *****. I found it through another company for about $1300. More reasonable for my area. They raised my Progessive car insurance to $418 for six months. I found another policy through Progressive for $100 less. This place is a rip off. Dont waste your time and definitely not your money.
