Amp Smart Security destroyed my doorbell chimes when they first installed the system. They kept returning to try and fix my doorbell, to no avail, so I was without a doorbell for nearly the six years I had the system. A couple of times during my contract they increased the monthly charge without even notifying me. When I called to ask why, the response was because of taxeswhich was untrue. They finally, this past March, installed a battery run doorbell that was working rather well, and I was thrilled to finally have a doorbell again. The doorbell would have to be charged, which they never showed me how to do that. My internet service went down for a couple of days and I didnt have any security at all. When I brought the doorbell inside to charge it and returned it back outside after being fully charged, it would not connect to my system. I called and they tried to get it connected over the phone, to no avail. They said they would send someone out but wanted to charge me $35. I told them that I wouldnt pay that charge. They finally got back to me and said they would waive the fee but it would be two weeks before they could get someone to come out. I finally called them back and told them to cancel the entire system and that they didnt have to send anyone out to connect the doorbell. I was having a completely new system installed from another company and an agent showed up from Amp Smart anyway. I told him that I had already canceled that system, so he left. Amp Smart continued to monitor my house so I finally just cut the wires. When I called Amp Smart and canceled the system I asked them to send me a copy of the contract showing my signature and I would pay off what I owed them. I asked them to please send it to me in the US mail. That all occurred on 8/3/23 and here it is the end of November and I am still waiting for the contract. This company lies and cannot be trusted. Im sorry I ever hired them in the first place.AMP Security, LLC

1 starI purchased my security system in June 2018 for my home, during that time, for about $60 per month. Slowly, payments increased in which I told them I could get a cheaper rate thru ADT.The first 3 years, there were very minimal concerns, other than a couple rate increases. However, since November 2021, I have had consistent problems. I was told the equipment is outdated, and is the reason why repairs were not working, and to make it right, they could update the equipment, but this would require signing another contract.I told them I did not want another contract but needed repairs done to feel safe in my home. After consistently having the same issues over and over, I recently decided to cancel.This company gets their business by using the door to door approach. They have fast talking sales rep who use deception and misrepresentation to get buy-in. I was initially told that the contract was for 2 years and if I decided to cancel, would require 30 day notice.I am now being told the contract automatically renews each year and I will need to pay a termination fee of $600 to get out. There has been no communication on this. On July 5, 2023, I received communication to receive updated equipment as a loyal customer. They are saying, the original electronic contract indicates renewal is an automatic process. This conversation never comes up during the initial sales pitch. If this is how they practice, why don't they remind the consumer of an upcoming renewal? Because they know most folks, (if aware) will not remember the original date of the contract which allows them to use this as leverage. People have put their trust in this company with hopes they represent the highest standard as promised. This is a terrible company with deceptive marketing practices. We were conned into a five year contract. We reviewed the paperwork, which we misplaced. That is our fault. When they sent us a copy, it was modified to five years vs. the one year that the salesman told us it would be. It is only because the state I am in doesn't allow auto-renew was the reason I was able to complete the five years and not have it automatically renew. Last year, the customer service rep we dealt with refused to give us contract details. So happy to be living in a state where auto renewal is no longer allowed. The doorbell camera never worked correctly no matter how many times we had "free" service technicians out to fix it. The prices were raised every year without notice. Go with Ring or another service There is no mailing address on the website, no links for cancellation. When calling the **** number, they do a hard sales pitch and/or disconnect once they realized I was trying to cancel the service. Bottom line: this company deserves a negative star ratingAMP Security, LLC

I have contacted AMP Smart in regards to my equipment that is not working. When I was sold the door bell camera the keypad and the cameras they all worked and everything was fine. I ended up moving a couple months later and i paid them $100 to remove the equipment to make sure it was done correctly. When I moved to my new location i paid $100 for them to come out and reinstall the equipment and it hasnt worked since. I have called several times they keep sending the same technician who doesnt know what they are doing. He call is "dad" on the phone to seek help and has been at our house later than 10pm at night. I had to tell my husband to send him home. He was suppoed to come back and hasnt. I contacted the company several times to correct and they have not done so. I tried to cancel and they said i would have to still pay for the equipment even if it doesnt work and was laughing while he was saying it. I bought this when I didnt have to I already had Vector security which was great and I didnt have any issues and I didnt have a contract but becuase my cousin was selling it i said why not but it was the worse mistake i ever made. I had them take me off of autodraft and at this point they can just put this on my credit because I will not pay them another dime. I asked them to come out and remove the equipment and they told me no that their technicians cant do it. They are a bunch of bull.AMP Security, LLC
