    Paid 20 dollars for next business day shipping.Got an estimated delivery date that is 7 days later. Chatted with the customer service and was basically told sorry about your luck. ??

    We are sorry about the delay in getting your order delivered. Unfortunately, there is a little bit of a process that orders have to go through in order to process which can sometimes delay the shipping time-frame. For future orders you place here is some information to help you be aware of: on orders that don't have an active prescription, we have to verify it with your doctor or it gets passively verified after 24-hours (1business day). Then unfortunately we don't ship on weekends or holidays which adds to the shipping time.

    Before placing an order be aware that if you use insurance, your promo code will not be applied and you will not be eligible for any promised rebates. I paid $145 out of pocket and insurance paid $155. The promised rebate was $30 so I think that should have still been honored since I paid significantly more than that out of pocket.

    Horrible! Bait and switch on rebate deals! C*** service. Offered me a rebate deal if I purchased a years worth of contacts and after I submitted their rebate form they went back on the deal. Really bad sales people. BEWARE.

    Deceptive trade practice on the part of this company. They are a contributing factor for the high cost of insurance. They will offer a 25% discount on your 1st order and then not honor it if using insurance. Why even offer ? Typical greedy republican owned outfit. Way more expensive than many similar retailers. Do your due diligence before buying anything from this unscrupulous company. There are better choices out there. I do not recommend this company at all.

    An agent noted that if you wanted to use insurance on your first order, you can use the 25% off on your next one.

    There's a bit of scam sensation when ordering. They DONT tell you up front that you need a Doctors Prescription in order to place the order so you spend the time entering the info from your contact boxes then you give them your name address and debit card information and only THEN do they ask for a prescription. And then if you don't have a paper prescription to upload. They offer to SELL you a prescription online before they will ship... So they collect ALL of your personal data using deception. Then want to force you to wait until your optometrists business hours and contact them to ask for a copy so it's really awkward that you are basically telling your provider that you are buying contacts on the side... Overall NOT impressed by 1 800 Contacts. The use of deception to gather your ************* and ************** is particularly concerning. They potentially add in that hurdle in order to make extra profits by selling you an online eye exam before sending your contacts. So, by selling a sketchy automated online exam that in no way seems medically safe.. they unravel any argument they could make that they need a prescription in order to safely sell you contacts.... Just more business tactics to make a few more dollars. Unfortunate.

    Because contacts are a medical device, we cannot sell them without a valid prescription. Doing the express exam is a service we offer to try to make getting a prescription for your contacts as easy as possible - you can do it from the comfort of your home! The prescriptions through this exam are valid and viewed by real doctors. 

    By law we have to reach out to your eye care provider to verify your prescription. We believe that our customers have the right to buy contacts where they want to. We provide that option by reaching out to your doctor for you to confirm the details of your prescription are correct.     This is their promise. Which they didn't honor Can you exchange lenses from another manufacturer? Yes, you can. ***** CONTACTS will exchange unopened boxes of contact lenses that you bought elsewhere. But they must not be damaged or marked. They also have to be at least one year from the expiration date, and the brand must be one that the website carries. I spoke directly with a rep back in March told her exactly what I had to send back she told me no problem I would get back $500 plus credit even though some were bought elsewhere. Gave her dates and brand. Gave me credit but once the contacts arrived to them they took it back and said no because they were bought somewhere else and some were discontinued. So now I have no contacts that I could have returned to Target to get credit for the ones I bought there instead of sending to 800 contacts. So they are trying to give me $179 now for the ones I purchased there. They do not honor their promise. Sent back $500 plus worth of unexpired contacts for them to now only credit me $179.

Unfortunately we received half of what was originally quoted being sent to us, which is why there is a price difference. Originally you were credited $179, but an agent credited an additional $75 to make the total credit $254.

    With my last 2 orders from 1-800contacts, I did not receive my rebates. While placing the 2nd order, I informed the agent that I did not receive the rebate from my previous order, the most they would do is give me a credit for only 1/2 of the rebate amount. Then I did not receive the rebate on my 2nd order. I called numerous times and spoke to at least 5 different agents/supervisors, and no one returned my call even though each said they would. After much back and forth, they said the rebate didn't apply because the order was for mixed brands. They even admitted it was a mistake on their end. And during the order process (while being assisted by a chat agent), I was told there would be a rebate, and I received an email informing me the rebate was available, but in the end, they would not honor it.

Looking into your account, credit was applied to an order on 12/15 for $67.50, and you should have received a rebate check that was issued on 2/23 for $75 and another around June for $135. Our credit department shows the check for $135 was cashed on 6/6.

    Said could get them back ordered twice. Local eye doc says no problem. 10 days to remove pending payment which is BS. Never so business with them again. CS agent constantly telling you something different than the emails you get. Done with them.

    After *************************************************************************************************************** during dinner to try and sell me contacts. The next day I get a a text saying that a $350 lens item was added to my cart. I haven't been on the website for years since I do all my ordering on the phone. When I called them to ask about it they denied that it was on their end. Then after arguing with a supervisor about it and trying to explain to them I am merely concerned about my account security the "fired" my account after 15 years!!!

    I had a fantastic first experience with ***** Contacts. Ordered from another online contact lens place, and after being strung along for 6 weeks with no delivery eta (and on my last pair of contacts), I reached out to ***** Contacts via their online chat to see if they had my prescription in stock and ready to ship. **** helped me. They price matched the other place and had my contacts delivered to me by the next morning! (Granted, they shipped from **** and I live next door in *****.) I cancelled my other order immediately after I place my ***** Contacts order.
