People write reviews when they're ****** or pleased and I am definitely the former. I uploaded my prescription, was told it was verified, and then shortly after got an email that because the brand I ordered didn't match the brand on my rx they had to verify it was ok for me to order that brand with my doctor. I called to ask why the brand matters. It doesn't, apparently, except my dr wrote it down. If it weren't there at all I could order whatever I want. He noted it as my preferred brand so the front desk would know what brand to order. Sadly, they don't make my prescription anymore. The front desk ordered a brand that just doesn't feel good in my eyes. I decided to try a different one from 1-800contacts and I guess that was a big mistake, because for some reason my dr has to ok it. Does that apply to glasses too? Do I have to get *********** if he writes that down? It's a BRAND. It's not like I'm trying to change my prescription, so to be told you have to verify I can order some other BRAND is absolutely ridiculous, especially when you know my script in the contacts he noted was discontinued because your website says so! I'm just trying to get something I can wear comfortably before I leave the country for two weeks, you are making this unnecessarily difficult and I am frankly livid.1-800 Contacts, Inc.

Contact lenses are considered a medical device and are regulated by the **** By law, Contact Lens prescriptions are brand specific and require that we only sell you the brand that your doctor prescribed. If no brand was listed or you want to switch brands, we are required to verify the lens with your doctor each time an order is placed.

This company is deceptive. They over billed my insurance company and implied that they where in network with my insurance company ( have a contract with the ins. **** and they where not; bad business.1-800 Contacts, Inc.

I spent extra for shipping with the expectation they would be here fast. i uploaded a picture of my perception straight from my optometrist, 3 days after i place my order and it still isn't verified. i contact support and they say theyll get right on it. i wake up the next day and my order is canceled, as its now discontinued, which this is the first i hear of. They say they cant get ahold of my dr ****** but i called from 2 different numbers and different times and got an answer right away. Not to mention I'm pretty sure this has messed my benefits up for the rest of the year as well. 6 years of spending my money here is done.1-800 Contacts, Inc.

This company is guilty of appearing that a new customer can get a 30% discount on the first order.Great! Then as the ordering process continues, they ask if you also want your insurance applied to the order. Of course, I thought, its one less thing I need to do later.BUT, then the total of the order appears and its munch higher than it should be considering the discount plus the insurance allowance. So, I contacted ***************** to be informed that they cannot apply both (for some reason ), so they REMOVED the 30% discount ($191), and kept my insurance discount of $150.This is UNSCRUPULOUS business practice- the customer service representative was either naive or complacent, Im not sure which.I remedied the situation but how many customers just go ahead and buy and accept that they dont get the discount as advertised???? The BBB and department of consumer affairs should be aware.1-800 Contacts, Inc.

Ive had the worse experience with them twice already uploaded my prescription and they sent the wrong ones. I waited a few months and placed a new order everything looking good they literally cancelled my order last minute I used my remaining benefits before the year ended and now because they cancelled they want me to pay in full1-800 Contacts, Inc.

They do NOT have transparent policies at checkout - i fell for there clickbait and was in a pinch to get contacts as my eye doctor had covid and her office was closed. I am a performer and cant be on stage in glasses. Anyways, i got excited because i remembered about I paid an additional ***** to have overnight delivery and there was NO mention that the prescription had to be verified by my doctors office before it shipped. The customer service portal was minimally helpful. To be fair I feel bad for the people who have to work for a company with such unclear policies and thus get to deal with frustrated customers.1-800 Contacts, Inc.

Wonderful service. I decided to try daily contacts and unfortunately I have very sensitive eyes. the contact lenses was too thin and my senistive eyes would not allow it. Worked for many but my eyes were not having it. I work food and so being on a grill it agitated my eyes. I called them and they credited my account for return. Gave me one day shipping on the brand that I used since I was 12. The agent did everything to help me as my glasses were broken. Love this company1-800 Contacts, Inc.
