  Locked up on my first transaction, the day I activated my card. I have now spent a total of over 4 hours on hold and been hung up on twice. This current call I told the person that answered I need a supervisor and they just transferred me like the other times. Then the Second Lady said she needed to check with someone on something and transferred me somewhere else. Why cant they just be honest. No wonder the hood times are so bad, nobody can actually resolve issues to get people off the phone. So currently my account has a hold, I have spent a huge chunk of time trying to get in touch with someone today and the customer service doesnt even listen.

  Merrick Bank stole money from out of checking account and now my bank can't do anything about it cause it's past 60 days to get my refund of 1550.00$ someone working there did a paper payment that I didn't make. How am I in the wrong when they did ******** I can't get my money back so so ****** off they stole from me .

  The worst company to do business. I had no notification. It used card over a year that tanked my credit score all over a annual fee I paid wasnt trying a refu on house Im screwed on now because of this event. They dont work with you in squat to resolve like a credit curiosity.

  I hate I gave them 1 star. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! I can never speak to a supervisor. I keep being placed on long holds then the call will be disconnected. I already made my deposit and they are requesting another. No card after 3 weeks of waiting, no anything besides a letter requesting a deposit. I spoke with applications team once just to have them request paystubs. I faxed that over and today no one answers the phone. This has to be some type of scam. I'm ****** I work hard for my money and I'm trying to improve my credit. This sad to conduct business in this manner.I want my money back.

  Merrick bank would not supply me with either a detailed statement of my charges, nor a way to view them online. I paid above minimum payments for nearly two years and the balance never changed though, I did not use the card. This is fraud.

  Worse bank ever I have not received a replacement card sent January its march 13th my calls keep getting hung up they will not do anything to accommodate me at all they lie do not keep theyre word this is the worse credit card company Ive EVER dealt with I am so mad that I am seeing so many horrible reviews now that I have a account with them ! They need to be sued I believe they are doing fraud no credit card company ever should have all these problems

  Its A Scam!! They are training their employees to lie to customers to take their money!!!!!!!!! January 2023 I spoke with a representative from Merrick bank named ******. He advised me that once I made three payments of $77. My account will be active because on my credit report it was showing that my current account was closed. ****** , continued to assure me that my account was not closed and after my payment, my account will be current and I will be able to use my card. I paid off my credit card, which totaled over $2300. I received a call from ***** saying the information I received was incorrect. She apologize and a disciplinary action was taken towards the worker who miss informed me, and basically saying I paid off my credit card and that they are not making your account active and I explained I wouldve made a payment plan instead of $2300 all at once, if I was not gonna be able to use my card so they scammed me and made me pay all of that money, knowing they were not interested in helping me. This is unbelievable and should not be allowed. They are scamming folks.

  Merrick Bank really stinks! If you're trying to build your credit, go elsewhere! In the short year of having a card with them, I've had nearly $600+ in charges made to my card that were FRAUDULENT (meaning I didn't make them)!Upon first filing a dispute with them for said charges, they recently sent me a letter in the mail, stating the investigation was complete and I would receive credit for disputed charges. What happened next? They RE-CHARGED my acct for all them disputed charges...upon further personal investigation, I learned I basically got charged TWICE = so the $600-some charges were doubled! = $1200 charges put onto my account. I've been on the phone with these dudes all yesterday afternoon and all of today! I keep getting transferred here, transferred there - then hung up on! Their customer service REALLY ***** donkeys rear! ???????????????????? I am beyond furious!!

  i think that merrick bank is in cheating me a credit card customer who has in the three years using ******************** never ever been late on a payment......so here is the story.........a e-commerce retailer bills a customer (ME) two times for a item which was never shipped and merrick bank only permitted one credit to be issued......so now I am out $450 dollars............merrick bank said that the retailer issued the one credit and that was all I was going to get........two ******** and one credit..........who is worser......the thieving retailer ???? or the thieving merrick bank ?I am to old and to emotionally uspset with all this stress to continue the fight like I should with these crooked little thieving bank card jerks............the retailer is American Freight they have a BBB score less that 1 ..............lol............they billed me twice for a mattress which they never shipped..........but............merrick bank only credited my CC once..............NOT KOOL BANKER BOY !!!!!!*****
