      I have had numerous scam purchases on this card. They reversed the charges at first. I look at my account and I am not -$139, they reissued three of the charges. I told them I did not make those charges since they were three in a row for $49.95, the same amount as the other 22 scam charges. This bank does NOT protect your information and scam charges are rampant. Since they refused to reverse the charges for 3 something CLOUD that I did not charge, I asked them to close my account. Then the gal said, "are you sure, I can tell you all of the benefits of having this card." I said the only benefit I see is for you company allowing these scammer to take advantage of hard working people and now I get to pay for it. So Merrick Bank has the advantage, not me, now I have to pay $139 for charges I did not make. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR A CREDIT CARD. I couldn't believe how many scammer have access to this. I will be contacting an attorney because if it is happening to me, it has to be happening to others.

      I had a scam purchase told them the next day call the business and they said it was a fraud. Merrick bank said they would investigate never did

      Literally the worst credit card company . So l was enrolled in there back in track program months ago. I was told I was to make my payment of $ x how ever every time I call to make my on time payment I'm told the representative inputted the information wrong and I get transferred 3 times then told I have to receive a call back within 48 hours. They call I make my payment this process of being on the phone being transferred having to explain over and over is so annoying. I'm always told oh I see in the notes what ***********'s so annoying I did my part I am making my on time payments I don't have time to be transferred all the time then receive a call back because you all don't know how to do your job.The managers are rude as h*** the representatives are rude I hate Merrick bank. I had to write to the better business bureau. It so stressful. Never have I went through the stress with any other bank. How are they in business still. Why do I have to get transferred 3 times then wait for a call back to make the payment. I go through this every month I did my part they can't do there's. Oh and by the way I never received my call back to make my payment that was due on the 5th I was told because if there error once again I have to wait for a call back never received that call today is now the 8th

      I was treated horribly by their recreation loan teller named *****. She made sure to make me feel stupid by saying things like, I already told you, and showing negative emotions over the phone with me for trying to ask questions and understand the terms of my loan. which are also outrageous being an interest bearing loan that charges 5.00 a day. I pay 1.09 per day for my more expensive vehicle at a different credit union. I will be looking to re finance my loan through another lender asap. I had to ask for a manager just to get someone to act like they were not annoyed to help me. I would try to avoid interest bearing loans too. The price should be set!

      They have repeated charged me for returned checks on the same payment method. Same bank, no information changed, monthly payments set the same, yet sometimes the checks will be returned for no reason at all. I am paying off my balance and closing my account. Do not get a card with them.

      The worst possible financial decision I ever made was applying for credit with Merrick Bank, they have by far the most useless customer service department. I applied for a credit card on May 14, 2024, had repeated issues with the bank shipping the card to the wrong address, spoke with several service **** between May and August, all who reissued a new card every time they shipped to the wrong address, finally received the card on August 12th, 3 months after I applied for the card, activated the card only to discover that not only was the card locked by the bank, but also a $75 yearly fee had been charged to the card along with derogatory remarks placed on my credit report that caused an **************** my credit score, I am livid ?? STAY AWAY FROM MERRICK BANK if you want to keep your credit safe!

      This is the worst experience I have ever had. Closed my account on July 2nd. They didnt report it until the 22nd so they could bill me for August. When I called and asked how could they charge me a monthly fee for account that is closed, they lied and said the invoice had already been generated. I wanted the fee waived they said couldnt be done. After much back and forth I decided to pay it. They had the odassity to want to charge me an additional $5 fee. This bank needs to be looked into. In reading the other reviews I realized this is an ongoing situation with them for a lot of people. Im a disabled veteran who lives on a fixed income. Merrick Banks treatment of people is outrageous and they need to be given a taste of their own medicine ??
