Do not use this company. The lack of knowledge by the staff could cost you to lose money. I wanted to transfer my HSA from Equity Trust to Health Equity. Staff did not know what about an LOA. She repeatedly told me it didn't exist. This was on different conversations. I had to go back and have several conversations with Equity Trust for clarification. They mailed paperwork that could have easily been faxed. I had to ask them to fax it. After much waste of time trying to deal with them, I decided to review the company and decided based on my research, it was best NOT to use them. Don't don't even deserve a one star rating. I had to pick a star

My employer contracted with HealthEquity for COBRA administration. The amount I had to pay was not available on their website till 12/2/2022. I made the payment on this date. On 12/15, I tried to fill a prescription and it was denied for lack of coverage. I called HealthEquity and was told that they updated my coverage information on 12/14. I was told by ****** to wait ***** hours for pharmacy and medical coverage updates. Today (12/21); I checked with my pharmacy, and they informed me that I still do not have coverage. I called HealthEquity to check on updates to my pharmacy, medical, and dental coverages. **** informed me that that though I was told that HealthEquity updated my coverage, they failed to send this information over to Aetna and my pharmacy. **** said that she will send in an urgent update for my coverage to be updated. This will take 3-5 business days from the otherwise 5-7 business days. Imagine paying for coverage and not being able to use it. She also told me that it will not help my case to speak to a supervisor/manager. ***** has already denied my dental claim and I'm not able to fill a prescription. This is a complete outrage, and this company is failing its customers. I hope future EMPLOYERS make a note of this because this is not the company you want to administer your COBRA coverage for your employees

Horrible company. My daughter was ill and in and out of the hospital when the next month's premium payment was due plus the open enrollment form which needed to be completed by the end of the month was never completed due to her being severely ill and in hospital. I realized she wasn't able to make the payment and I called at the end of Oct. to find out how I could pay the November payment and was told to complete the open enrollment form and also send the ***** form I have showing I have access to her medical ins. Her insurance company has assured us any Nov claims will be paid once HealthEquity reinstates her account and we make the payment. Through many calls, different reps sometimes asked for the same info I sent and had been told was received and "In process". In the meantime, my daughter was hospitalized on 11/1/2022 and we traveled to be with her all the while calling HealthEquity almost daily wanting to pay the premium so she would be covered. Then my daughter passed away on 11/13 while in ICU. A letter my daughter received while in the hospital stated that the open enrollment form must be submitted by 11/30/2022, which I made sure it did. The form was faxed again and received by them on 11/22/2022. . Yet despite the grief and all we have been going through we kept calling. Even now we have not got any help. The last rep said we need to send a narrative and death certificate, ***** form, and open enrollment form to the ************ which we did by fax and also mailed everything priority. Now I get the usual "Follow Up To Recent Inquiry" and "Notice of Closed Case ' emails which happens after every email or phone contact with this company. I am looking into contacting the local consumer complaint reporter and relating this horrendous company.

This company is a thief. I had $514 balance holding at this company for my previous employment. I left my previous company in June. Health Equity never sent me a message or email indicating I need to use the balance within 90 days after my employment ended. When I tried to finish my year-end claim activity, they told me I cannot access MY OWN MONEY anymore. They steal my money and I am sooooooo mad now. This company is the worst one I have ever encountered with. Stay away from this company.

I'm a healthcare worker who was commuting to work in the pandemic and Wage Works is still withholding at least $1000 of post-tax pay I put into my commuter benefit. It has been 1 year. When our organization switched to Health Equity, they sent a letter stating they would refund that (while my new account would start over). They have refunded it to some and yet my refund was never sent. Despite opening "tickets" to resolve this issue as well as speaking with their supervisors, it has gone nowhere. Anywhere else, a place that owes someone a refund of $1000 that hasn't been used, it would be unacceptable to keep it for 1 year and not refund it to date. This is fraudulent and need help resolving this issue. Thank you

I waited 5 months for my HSA to be opened. This was due to multiple errors made by the customer service representatives as well as the employer service representatives. My account was finally opened and I have been waiting a nearly a month to receive my card. Apparently it was never ordered despite having put in a request for it. Health equity will not disburse my funds without the card. Im told that I can have my funds reimbursed but I have zero faith that will happen given my experience so far. Ive have requested to speak to a supervisor and have been told it would be 24 to 48 hours until I hear back. I have never written a bad review or filed a complaint but this experience has pushed me to do so. If I can stop any person or company from doing business with Health Equity then wasting a few minutes writing this is worth it.

One of the worst businesses that I have ever interacted with. It charges all kinds of "user fees" for providing absolutely zero service. If you are working and have the option to transfer out of Health Equity or even better, not use them as an HSA service, please do so. Main summary of problems:1.) Unnecessary fees. 2.) Clunky UI for the Website 3.) Does not keep promises. I talked with one of their managers to attempt to waive the closure fee. They said they would waive it. And of course they don't. I do not know how this company exists. I imagine they make most of their money from getting unaware companies to contract with them, and closure fees from customers being fed up with their terrible service.

Their website is completely incapable of remembering a password. I make monthly payments for a COBRA plan, and I have to change the password every - single - month, without fail. Login the next month, and the one you changed it to this month will not be recognized. How hard can this possibly be? What century is this?

Terrible company. It's a muddled mess. Their reps are friendly enough but can't see the same things on the website. They continually ask for more documentation on HRA claims yet reject receipts from providers asking instead for EOBs. But the numbers don't match if you paid a lab company for 2 items or an ****************** for 2 visits. It's a mess.

I worked for an employer who used this company. I put money into my FSA account. On many occasions I had healthcare claims that were denied. One was for tooth sealant that clearly was covered in their manual. I left the company and Wageworks kept over $780 of my money. Had I not encountered such unnecessary pushback with valid claims I would not have had to leave so much of my money.
