Absolutely horrible company. Predatory lender. When you ask for a payoff letter, they will not give it to you. No matter how many times you call or who you asked to speak with they do not do that. They charge an extra 10% on each payment Plus taxes on top of the taxes that you already paid when you purchased the item. There has got to be some type of federal regulation against this type of bad customer service. Not being clear on the terms of what youre doing.The retailer, however, that uses this company was ****** furniture they were fine.Acima

Trying to make a purchase through a retailer ive used before. Now all of a sudden my form of method to make the initial payment its being blocked by their system. Everytime i call or chat with an agent i get a different story. The app is not working, were having issues with purchases with the merchant, checkout as a guest, try a different card. Ive tried 4 cards and none have worked with them. These are cards i use often, and have used it with Acima on my previous leases. ***************** agents are there just to answer the phone with no valid information as to why things are happening. Previous to this i had no issues with Acima, but when you have been back and forth for 3 weeks on something that they should have a better explanation on. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and what a surprise, i was speaking to the supervisor and there was no one else on the floor. She wasnt helpful at all. Do better Acima, if there are app issues, technical issuer, merchant issues. inform your customers, train your staff better, and upgrade your system.Acima

Acima lied about the total cost of our bed and lied about the frequency of payments they were to take out. They started taking payments out every 2 weeks rather than once a month...with no notice and without permission. As a result, it caused problems with my bank account. The bed went from $150 to $409. My husband called them about it and they changed the price on him 3 times. It ended up being very confusing and the worst part is that the bed is a terrible piece of c*** and wasn't worth it. Then I read that their are multiple complaints against them for the same reason. A fraudulent company, for sure!Acima

This company is fool of JERKS! While I was trying to resolve my payment schedule, somebody in background was laughing. I told them that it seems like the conversation they are hearing, its funny to them! I spoke with 5 individuals, who did not even understand what I was trying to do with my payment! I could barely understand their language too. Is this company legit? I hope I am NOT wasting my money and time on a SCAM! I am a customer that is upset right now!!!Acima

They Scam money by charging extra payments from accounts paid in full. I paid my account in full, but was still charged an extra payment of $*****. The weekly payment of $***** was due Monday. I paid the account in full the Saturday before. Before I paid I called about the $88 being processed early as I saw it was being processed through the Acima app. The payment was not due until Monday. The first representative I talked to said they already started processing the payment due Monday so I would have to call back for a refund after paying in full. So I paid in full online, but the payment of ***** Was still taken out my checking account. So I called complaining about this so they changed the story saying that the $***** was apart of my full payment price. I would tell anyone considering using this company to seriously reconsider.Acima

I went in to get a tire from a rockin tires and they convinced me to get four new tires with acima credit which was fine I thought it was a good deal you know pay it out as I go but they did not explain to me that it was a lease for the tires that cost $75 a piece anywhere else is now cost me over $600 almost $700 and going to cost me another $700 if I keep paying the lease on top of that when the guy told me the tires he said the payments would be no more than $80 a month which I'm on disability and they take $138 out of my account every month I called to try to get them to lower the payments they said it would something got messed up and upon reviewing the contract I realized it was a lease if I knew it was a lease I would have just bought my one used tire and left because I can't afford that much out of my paycheck for that long I've called into akima to try to get them to work out the situation but they're always transferring me to another department and the hold is extremely long I mean I understand I had low credit but by the time I'm done I'll be paying four times as much as these tires are worth how much money does a company need to make off one person trying to make it struggling with low credit I don't mind paying a little extra but four times with the tires worth is a little ridiculous I've been struggling last 6 months just because of those tires I only make $900 a month and $130 something out of that knocks me down quite a bit I've tried to get a hold of him many times on there chat and everything else but they always end up trying to direct me to another department which puts me on hold and I'm paranoid schizophrenic and I am not the best understanding some things and being social I really try and apparently I was not explained the contract nor did I completely understand it when I signed it like I said if I knew it was the lease I wouldn't at least tires for a yearAcima

Horrible company! I purchased a phone through acima a few months ago with their outrageous prices, being told I will be able to finish paying it off in 3 month by paying 400$ in between those months. Little did they mention that if you miss a month it doubles in price. A couple months into having the phone I got it stolen from me while I was out vacationing.I reported it stolen but the customer service said I needed a police report. Got them the police report but they said I needed a police officers statement (couldnt get a police officers statement because I was not in the area anymore and police couldnt help) they stopped charging me for 4 months (3/20/24 was the last time I was charged up until today 7/10/24) no idea why I was charged in between such a large gap or why Im still getting charged for a phone I do not have when I already reported it to acima. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES.Acima

Absolutely incompetent I ordered a couch with Ashley ********* for $2400 was doing the 90 day payment option on June 14th I made a payment and only owed $400 by end of June *** guy said in one week which was 21st of June they would take last payment out account ( our phone call was recorded by me) they never took that payment out and now are trying to add on $2000 because of their s**** up good thing I have it recorded I guess we will head to court.Acima

THEY ARE A RIP OFF, No professionalism whatsoever. They are NOT for the customer. SEVERAL times I asked for UPPER management help but DENIED, and disrespected by those under the higher-**** They give you a day/date for payment but yet begin processing payment 3 days before the date which makes it virtually IMPOSSIBLE for an untimely death in the family to take precedence over the lease. ONCE I am done with this CRAPPY lease and CRAPPY service from these unprofessional insensitive people I will NEVER revisit them and I will tell everyone I know to FIRST READ YOUR REVIEWS before doing business with youAcima

I had an option to buy a couch using Acima. The terms were 90 days same as cash or financed. We did not make the 90 days payments so it was financed. The payments were $139.87 bi-weekly. There is an option to pay off early for a lot less. On April 30th, we chose to pay it off early as offered. The payoff amount was $506.22. Then 2 months later we received a charge for $53.24. I called to say that we paid it off and they told me that the system doesn't make mistakes and the payoff amount today is another $503.22. I tried to work something out, but they said that even though I went through their system and payed the early payoff amount I still owed more. I am making this complaint because I will be forced to pay the additional $503.22 payoff or it goes on my credit. My next step is small claims lawsuit.Acima
