I received a debt collection letter from ******************************************* for my daughter with an "Amnesty Program" for a debt incurred by Blink Fitness which is good until May 1, 2023. If I pay this bill, I will get 50% off of my debt. I have 3 years worth of bank statements showing that I paid monthly installments and this account was frozen during the pandemic. I cancelled the account in the last few weeks as my daughter hasn't gone in as many years - and within days of cancellation I get a notice from a debt collector?? I want this off of my daughters account as she is only in the position to establish credit and this will appear on her trw before any credit.Business Response

Had Golds Gym Membership without contract on month-to-month membership for both me and my sister under my name until I called to cancel on December 6, 2022 at 2:57 P.M.The agency Golds Gym told me to call goes by the phone number ************. When I called on December 6, 2022, I made sure to tell them to cancel all memberships under my name to which they confirmed "they did."Fast forward to now, April 18, 2023, I saw that I was still being charged for the memberships on my debit card and I called the ************ number only to find out that they never cancelled my membership *not surprising whatsoever knowing these agencies*.I now requested cancellation again only to find out they sent one of the names on our memberships to collections which goes by ******************************************** I attempted to call ******************************************* today only to be hung up on 3 times.This is absolutely ridiculous that Golds Gym not only still charged me for memberships after I requested to cancel but also sent one of the accounts to collections.Records will show that our memberships were not scanned anytime after mid November 2022.I want this collections to be cleared and will be more than happy to file legal charges against Golds Gym and any associated agencies if I receive a credit score decrease because of the lies of Golds Gym and its associated agencies.Business Response

received a notice that I have a collection from ALDOUS on my credit report. It says it was opened on 04/07/2022 for $ 0 with account number starting in ********** that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the FCRA and FDCPA.

I received a notification of debt owed from Aldous & Associates, PLLC regarding an alleged debt owed to VASA Fitness. I do not have an obligation to VASA Fitness. When I had my representatives attempt to contact **** they told me to go to ******************************************** When I attempted to reach ******************************************** They would not confirm or verify my alleged debt but sent me back to ****. Notably the firm does not have any email addresses on their website or the **** State Bar. They are deliberately trying to hide and take no responsibility for these false claims. If this does not immediately get resolved I am going to file a bar complaint. Their letter lists an attorney of counsel that isnt even listed with the **** State Bar. These types of debt collection practices are in violation of federal law (Unfair Debt Collection Practices Act).Business Response

I am writing to bring to your attention a concerning situation regarding my debts that I owe to Blink Fitness. I had my debts paid off in full, but I recently discovered that someone else who was using a privacy card and still owes money to Blink Fitness has not been charged for their outstanding balance, despite receiving emails from your firm.This person's failure to pay their debts hasn't resulted in their credit score being effected and letting them open several different accounts, and I find it unacceptable that they have not been held accountable for their actions. I believe that this individual may be engaging in fraudulent behavior, and I urge you to investigate this matter further.I request that you take immediate action to investigate this person's actions and hold them accountable for any wrongdoing. It is essential to ensure that justice is served and that individuals who engage in fraudulent activities are not allowed to escape the consequences of their actions. The privacy card network they use it called Oxygen (******************) and the accounts associated with them are ********** and *******. ********************* and ************************* own multiple accounts all in debt of more than $100, while the people who did get scammed paid.
