**************** across the board is inconsistent. 99% of the time customer service rep has a bad attitude, and worst of all, doesn't have a clue how to perform banking requests/tasks. I have used the bank account at AFCU for balance transfers multiple times without issues. In recent years, their customer service quality declined so much, that after talking 4 phone agents and a manager, the bank still wasn't able to complete the task I needed done. I am in the process of moving my assets out of this bank, because without knowledgeable employees, it is hard to trust them with my money.

To say that I have sisters that work for America First who I love dearly, but I am extremely upset with America First, Credit Union, and am in the process of moving all of my money to other financial institutions. We had fraud that we could show came from a different IP address, and America First will do nothing for us on business account, you have one day to recover your funds after that youre pretty much SOL, what Im really upset about is that there was no follow up to see how they are doing. Theres no follow up to see if theres anything else they can help us with. It wouldve been nice for someone to at least call to see how we are doing or see what the status of our case is as we try to go forward to recover $30,000 , I understand they may not want to give me my money back but the fact that they cant even reach out to see how their client is doing. Who has money in their financial institution is beyond me. We will continue to move all of our money out of their accounts so that they dont get credit for any of my funds . I run two small businesses and taking care of my customer is number one ******************************************* did none of this which makes me feel like number five or higher on the list. I will never recommend anyone to work with this bank ever again.America First Credit Union

The **** mobile app is complete trash. It is impossible to make payments to my loan within the app. Ive never once been able to. Every month I have to call in to make a payment. Today I finally had to head into the physical building to set up auto pay because you cant do that on the app either. Why have an app if people need to go in to the building anyway?America First Credit Union

Very terrible customer service, I just called to try to refinance an auto loan and was on hold for 20 minutes, when someone finally answer she told me she needed to transfer me to the *********** and I got put back on hold for another 20 minutes, then when that Second Lady answered she also said she needed to transfer me to the *********** and once again got placed on hold for only 10 minutes this time then when the third lady answered she explained that my payment on my auto loan was already as low as it could go. I am not upset I couldnt refinance, I am upset because I was on the phone for basically an hour and and only talked to humans for 1 minute all together. It seems like youre employees need to get it together very sloppy would give Less than one star.America First Credit Union

Back in December of 2023 I called American first credit union to make my usual car payment As I proceeded with the transaction the teller on the phone said hey sir just to let you know some good news you can do a skip payment and save some money for the holidays I thought wow what an nice thing I had asked her if it would penalise me in anyway she stated no so I proceeded to do a skip payment I thought wow what a nice thing for this company to do Now stepping forward a few months I found out a couple days ago there was a derogatory **** on my credit report for a $231 loan increase amount When I further investigated this $231 I found out this company America first credit union had reported to my Equifax that I wasnt paying my interest on my loan when in fact I have statements showing that Ive never missed any payments when I brought this to their attention They informed me that I need to read the fine print better on my loan agreement I dont even think this is legal I am further investigating that part of this but if this is somehow legal that is what I would call a fine print scam and is probably not something people want to be going to a credit union for and having to worry about fine print scams they are claiming that this is within their legal rights to do I feel like customers should NOT be coaxed into doing a skip payment and not being notified that it will cost them credit points and a $231 fee I was also never given an opportunity to pay this $231 fee I wouldve just never done the skip payment thing that the woman conveniently talked me into. I feel very scammed from this company I have filed through Equifax to dispute this and Im taking it as far as I can go I have never heard of a company especially a credit union doing some kind of fine print scam like this to somebody please help me this is costing me thousands of dollars because now I cant do a refinance I needed to do because they docked my credit scoreAmerica First Credit Union

It was a joke dealing with my car loan . My title was sent to someone with out my loan being paid off as well . I was sent to collections after they received 10 thousand dollars.America First Credit Union

I have never been so disappointed in my entire life with any business EVER!! I never leave reviews until today! My debit card has been shut off since sometime yesterday. I am unable to use it to get my daughters Christmas all finished up. I got paid Friday and went to use it Saturday and it kept getting declined. I ran it as credit and I ran it as debit. I have more than enough money in my bank account to cover charges and it still was declined everywhere I went. I am so unbelievably frustrated its unreal. Needless to say I will be closing my account and going somewhere else! I cant believe that this happened when I needed it the most! Thanks a lot America worst!!America First Credit Union

I wish i could put something lower than 1 star because America worst doesnt even deserve that. The lady i spoke with was very kind but I have only ever had problems with them and they secretly try to fine fees of any kind. HATE THEM SOOOOO MUCH!!!America First Credit Union

Initially I rated a 1 star because I got into a s***** financial situation and every time I called a representative, no help or assistance was given to me. I also was never pointed in the right direction. However, after I complained here, the right people reached out to me. I am now very satisfied with the help that was provided to me. I am a little bit upset that it was essentially necessary to post a complaint here in order to be pointed in the right direction, but I am in a much better situation now than I was. AFCU helped me massively.America First Credit Union
