      I don't want to post a star at all with this review, because this miserable enterprise doesn't deserve even one. I'm ashamed to say that we've been customers since June of 2018. We have not had service since June of this year, and we have no clear indication of when it will be restored...something about this mythical new panel and due to supply chain issues, there aren't yet enough of them to go around. Still, payments are taken automatically from our account, and cannot be suspended. I've long since lost my sense of humor with them, and yesterday I lost my temper. I threatened to cancel our account and send all of their c*** back to them, and they told me to go right ahead, because we signed a 60-month contract. My bad...I had assumed that it was the standard ***** months, but when I reviewed our paperwork with them on the phone, I saw that it was indeed 60 months, so we're stuck, and these lousy cretins are not motivated to make things right in our case for another 8 months. I hope that they at least have the decency not to continue marketing, but if they are and you see them, don't walk away...RUN!

      I tried to cancel my service for which I do not use and was told that I couldn't because I had signed a 4 year commitment. I was told it was only a one year commitment. After speaking with an "Account Manager" I got nowhere fast. When I asked to speak with his supervisor, he told me he did not have one. The only way to get out of the contract would be a pay off of remaining months and they would not tell me what that payout amount was.Extremely frustrating dealing with Alder. Horrible business.

      This company is horrible. My alarm system has been down for the last 6 months. Every time I call them they state they do not have any technicians to come out to the unit. I advised them that I would get another system if they where not able to come and fix the system and they said I would have to pay the cancelation fee even though I have been paying them for 6 months with no service. They also stated that the 6 months that I paid would just be a lost if I canceled. It could not go towards the cancelation fee. At this time they still do not have a date or time for a technician to come out and fix my home. And they are not whiling to let me out of the contract.

      I, among many apparently, give this company a One star only because zero isnt an option. Their rep came one day knocking on our door because he saw another companys sign in our yard. That was his exact words. Opening our door was our first mistake and listening to his hoard of lies was our next. He talked a good talk about cheaper rates and better equipment. Even went as far as to say the other company automatically renews their contract if you dont call them in time after your original contract ends. Told us we had 30 days to cancel Alder if we didnt like it. ALL LIES! Sadly my elderly parents on social security changed as well. None of us like the system and as with several others that I have now read about we were told it was 3 days and now they say we have to pay $2000 each to cancel. I told them how I felt not that it matters. I dont know how these people sleep at night! This is horrible! I saw one say he wanted to **** I think we should all file a class action suit! This company is horrid! They need stopped!! Im certainly willing to join one! This is infuriating to say the least! Especially reading they still have continued to take money from accounts after being requested to cancel! Horrible, horrible people! DONE WITH ALDER! PLEASE DONT SIGN UP WITH THEM!!!!

      They keep sending me defective outdoor cameras and then they are giving me a run around to replace the Camara for the second time. I am so disgusted with these people right now. I trouble shooted with them and the Camara still did not work and they still gave me a run around and continually leaves me on hold until I hang up and call back. I have called them 4 times today and I'm on hold right now as I'm writing this.

      Zero stars. Only left one star because form would not let me provide zero. TrueType a nightmare. I share the experience of all the others that have tried to cancel a contract with this company. Was told that I would have to tell them not only why I wanted to cancel, but what company I was changing to, how much they were going to charge me a month, what the terms of their contract was, and how they had contacted me. After a prolong period of telling them that I felt their questions were inappropriate and unnecessary and I would not answer, they proceeded to transfer me over and over. Finally they told me I would have to pay thousands of dollars to cancel and had to submit a cancellation form. I requested the form and have never received it.

      Deceptive sales he lied about my contract length. What I was told and what was written in the contact are different. The product and what was promised are two different things, just like what I was told and what I found out that I signed for. The quality is ok at best. I've had several false alarms, equipment that stopped working, connection losses. **************** is a joke it can take up to a week calling every day to get things fixed and they don't call you, but they say they will. I wish I never would have answered the door. don't use them you'll be sorry. ************

      This business is a nightmare. Trying to cancel after having this service for 5 years. Had a representative come to my house and advise system needed to be upgraded from 2 g to 5 g and someone would contact me. No one ever contacted me and now trying to canc. Called on august 15 2022 to cancel talked to ******** ***************************** said needed cancellation letter. He emailed letter I printed it out signed it and emailed it back. Service still not cancelled. Talked to ******* sad when I talked to account manager on 15 he did not refer to cancellation department will do that today. Will take **** business days to cancel. What a nightmare!

      Would LOVE to give them NO stars!COMPLETE SCAMS. Canceled our plan the VERY NEXT DAY mailed off all their products via ***** with their shipping label. Was told within 30 days would get our refund its been OVER A MONTH & NEVER received our refund ON TOP OF THAT they charged our card 3x this week! We did EVERYTHING just as the contract said to do we PLENTY of time before the trial was over. Dont even get me into the sales rep. ***** a WHOLE OTHER heated issue. Lets just say a restraining order was fixing to be put against him. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT USE ALDER.

      I have had a hard time with this company. I moved and requested to transfer my equipment. This resulted in a contract renewal. I came down with COVID and had to reschedule my appointment. I cant get any assistance. I have no equipment. I am paying for literally no equipment.
