2 starsDO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE POOR CELL SERVICE. DON'T EXPECT CALL BACKS, THEY DON'T LISTEN TO YOUR CONCERNS, JUST THERE OWN. THEY DON'T FIX MAJOR PROBLEMS IN A TIMELY MANNER AND THEY WILL SAY AND DO ANYTHING TO KEEP YOU PAYING. I purchased Alder home security system in 2020 through a referral from a good neighbor. After about a year her system went down and Alder would never come and fix it. Shortly after my system stopped functioning. I'm disabled; so I had more time to complain with the customer service, technical department and billing. Security system started working again then stopped. System will not communicate with cell towers which means it isn't communicating with the CALL CENTER. I'm UNPROCTECTED from break ins, fire, and health monitoring. Alder sent another panel it stopped working, they sent a system firmware update it didn't work. Finally a tech came to the house October 2023 after two other canceled in house appointments by Alder and he couldn't get nothing to work. YEP 2.5 YEARS TO GET IN HOUSE TECH. Now on a last ditch effort Alder suggest a system called ***** which uses WiFi. I have asked many question about this ***** system both from my internet provider who doesn't want them to use their equipment and told me it will slow down my internet and WiFi products since I'm on the free LIMITED senior plan. I relayed this to Alder but they don't seem to care. Alder just keep saying to try it and want me to keep paying. Alder knows they have a problem in my area since several customers have stopped using Alder service. They are awful about giving you copies of stuff you signed electronically on there tech phones. I was told I would receive an email and I still haven't received copy of what I signed on Alder Tech phone. Today system still not calling for help if I need it. It is suppose to be a MONITORED SYSTEM. Alder is good at installing and signing you up but not good with fixing major problems and keeping customersReview fromStacey P

1 starI do not know where to start with this security service. The first year was good, the equipment worked with no issues. I get a random call a year ago asking for me to extend my contract and I say sure, I have been happy with the services so far. Now, a year later, I am trying to cancel services as the panel keeps on disconnecting from the sensors they tell me that I have a 36 month contract and it will be hundreds of dollars to cancel my "contract". I ask for a copy of this "contract" but was told it is a verbal agreement they keep on file. How is this legal?? So I tell them to go ahead and send a technician to fix the connection issues. They try to give me an appointment for 2 months from now!! So I am supposed to be okay with my security system malfunctioning, doing the exact opposite of what I pay them to do. I do not understand how this company can stay in business operating this way. I want everyone to know how bad this company.Review fromNANCY R

THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE. ALDER BURGLAR ALARM SYSTEMS BLAME YOU AS A CUSTOMER AND WILL TAKE ANY RESPONSABILITY IN THEIR MISTAKES. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY AND NOTHING ELSE. 1 star***** 15 fue cuando tome la mala desicion de aceptar los servicios de puerta en puerta que ofrece alder, me ofrecieron mejorar el servicio con un equipo mas moderno * fue el peor error de mi vida, Me enganaron vilmente, el doorbell ****** nunca funciono, * la respuesta fue que debia comprar un mejor telefono, cuando claramente les informe que mi telefono tenia limitaciones,les dije que cual era la razon del porque no fueron conectadas las camaras al panel * hasta una semana despues Me dijeron que debia pagar $350. Por hacerlo, ese mismo dia 24 de julio ***** para cancelar el servicio, me dijo la operadora que alguien me regresaria la llamada en uno o dos **** porque habian tenido muchas cancelaciones ese dia, recibi la llamada el dia 26 de julio * resulta que solamente eran 3 **** de prueba, en cuanto el vendedor me dijo que podia hacerlo en cualquier momento; * debia pagar $3, ****** por el equipo, de lo contrario me mandarian a coleccion, * dije oka*, esperare cuando ellos me contacten, pero nunca lo hicieron, * siguen cobrandome $ ***** mensuales. Inmediatamente ***** a mi Antigua compania VIVINT, * para el dia siguiente vivint retiro todo el equipo de alder * tengo un mejor servicio ahora porque tengo a mi madre con demensia * a mi hermano con discapacidad.Cabe aclarar que en ningun momento ninguno ofrecio corregir * disculparse por lo ocurrido. 1 starTERRIBLE!!! DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM, THE EQUIPMENT WILL NEVER WORK, THEY WILL NEVER RETURN YOUR CALL BUT YET CHARGE YOU EVERY MONTH FOR THEIR SERVICES THAT YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE, ACCOUNT MANAGERS WORST THAN CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY MAKE YOU SIGN A 5 YEAR CONTRACT AND YOU CANNOT GET OUT EVEN IF YOU WISH TO BECAUSE THEY FAILED TO PROVIDE THE SERVICES DESCRIBED ON THE CONTRACT. 1 starThis security company is a JOKE, they DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. ONCE YOU SIGN THAT CONTRACT THAT'S IT. If anyone approach you named *************************, he works for this company and he's JUST LIKE THEM, HE WILL STOP ANSWERING HIS PHONE AND TELL YOU LIE AFTER LIE AFTER LIE. 1 starApparently, which I didn't realize when signing up. I signed up for a 5 year plan. They didn't have me sign anything that I remember. That was 3 years ago. Weird that they didn't mention this 2 years ago when they called and asked if I would like to join the yearly plan a year after having their service. I called and cancelled the service two weeks ago. Sales pitch galore. Emphasize sales pitch. I don't know how many times the guy offered "are you sure". If I wasn't I wouldn't be calling to cancel. I even said with your sales pitch I am Definity sure. Any who. They said I would owe 90% of the 2 years that I have left. I told them just to cancel it, I would rather save 10% than waste it with calling again. I didn't say this but for real, do I wanna call back again and repeatedly say no thank you? f*** that, move along. So I told them no, just cancel me still. They said I will receive my final bill in 5 days in the mail, 2 weeks have gone by and I have just got the normal monthly bill. I'm going to dispute it because I will not pay for anything until I get the final bill. I said to cancel. I should only have one more bill left. I was fine with you before all this. But that kind of pushed me, stop with the over sales pitch and be a **** honest business. It goes farther. look at your f****** rating. you have 1 star, I can see why I moved, I no longer use it. 1 starMy system kept going off line was told a tech would come out .( yeah a yr later)! Still having issues. I called alder many ,many times to resolve the issues was told a whole lot off different things ! The last time I called I wanted to end the contract ( it was up ) I was informed that I had renewed my contract ( I did not !!l) *******.said yes you did I have a recording of you agreeing to he said I can email u that if you would like .I said sure I want to hear that .well never received that email ! 1 starSince I got Alder security system I been wanting to cancel. They told me I was on a 5 year contract. I couldnt believe I missed the part that said it was a 5 year contract when I sign. Long story short I been, I been waiting 5 years to cancel their services and now they are telling me that because I didnt send a whiten letter asking to cancel they auto renew my contract for another 3 years. 1 starIf I could give this horrendous company ZERO stars I would. When I got my equipment, it didnt work in my house. Then when I had to move the motion sensor got stuck on my wall and took the sheet rock off. Mind you when the gentlemen was selling it to me, I asked him if it would take my sheet rock off, and he swore to me it wouldnt which was a LIE!!! The glass motion detectors got stuck on the window and wouldnt come off. When I called them to tell them, the lady yelled at me (how professional) telling me how I should have called them first before taking the equipment off. Said I should use alcohol and I did use that, and it still didnt work. I literally cancelled my membership. I had some family trouble and then got surgery and I couldnt send back the equipment fast enough which they never told me about the automatic reactivation until I called them asking about how to close the fire alarm. Apparently, they have an automatic reactivation fee and dont tell anyone. Now I am stuck with this horrendous security system that wont let me return their stuff or cancel unless I pay $3000 for something I have never used, nor has it worked. Oh, and if I dont want to cancel then I can transfer this broken piece of c*** to someone I know. Like if I dont want this how can I transfer it to someone else you evil scrum of earth! Before you asked I have talked to their technical people and their useless they know nothing and will resend you more equipment that doesnt work. I have never despised a company so much in my life I swear. This company is a huge SCAM!!!!! RUN!!!!!
