Their contract is predatory. They force you to give a "30-day notice" when cancelling your membership, so you'll be charged for another month of access on top of their ~$45 annual fee. It shouldn't cost $60 to cancel a membership. Spend your money at a gym that actually has the interests of the consumer in mind.VASA Fitness

Hello,I apologize for any frustration regarding this policy! Any payments set to draft within 30 days of request to cancel are owed. If the Rate Guarantee Fee is set to draft within 30 days of request to cancel, then it would be owed to cancel. This policy is outlined in the membership agreement.Review fromCarli R

Literally the worst gym I have ever been to. Not only is the staff rude, the billing department is atrocious. They have charged iver $300 to my account for the last few months and no matter how many times I request an itemized transaction history they won't send it. They say its in the billing in the app but the app still says I had paid my bill and owe $0.VASA Fitness

I can not stress this enough READ THE CONTRACT and ASK THE QUESTIONS. It really is deceiving and predatory. When you sign up, you get a "free" training evaluation, you go to a trainer, get excited for your results and then....NOTHING. At least that is what happened to me. I started my membership to have access to the pool and steam room and that was enough, then I thought maybe a trainer would help me stay motivated, focused and on track. Maybe a trainer would hold me accountable and help with my food options....WRONG!!!! I did my evaluation and signed the contract and NEVER trained with the trainer that "sold" me on the idea. My first session he comes up to me and explains that he is too busy and that he is going to have one of his team members work with me - that they would BOTH work with me. WRONG!!! In 9 weeks, (that I have paid for) I trained 4 times because something was always come up and it would have to be rescheduled. She sent me texts of her races days and training yet she NEVER reached out to me wo see how I was doing...how my nutrition was, was I training on off days NOTHING. So yes I decided to cancel and have been told that I still owe for 12 more sessions, what about the sessions I have ALREADY paid for and received NOTHING??? I have to prove that I have moved or I can SELL it to someone else???? Why would I sell this crap? Are you serious? Oh and safety is an issue as well. There were multiple times that two men would start fighting - of course one was a "gym bro" so the managers would just let it happen. PATHETIC. Finally - the locker room was DISGUSTING, the pool was often closed and the steam room was well....par for the course.VASA Fitness

Hello,I sincerely apologize that this was your experience. We would be happy to get you set up with a different trainer if you feel like your current trainer is not a good fit. The auto-renewal portion has been cancelled, but you are still responsible for the remaining 7 payments. Your Personal Training is currently on hold until November 5th.Review fromCalen J

Predatory Contract: They charge an annual fee, which is fine, but then they require 30 days' notice before they will cancel your membership, so guess what? If you cancel a month 11, to cancel your membership, they require you to pay the annual fee that you won't be using and the next month's payment. Seriously, they are charging you to cancel your membership.VASA Fitness

This gym is a total scam. For my work I travel a lot going to different states about every 6 months. I havent lived in **** for over 2 years and I tried reaching out to cancel my account multiple times and everytime they wouldnt cancel it, they continued to try and charge my bank account even with me calling and telling them I wanted to cancel and I no longer needed their services. They charged me up to $243 before sending the bill to collections. THIS IS THE ONLY GYM THAT IVE EVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE CANCELLATION PROCESS. Other gyms are super quick and easy to use and are willing to cancel. I was a vasa member for over 5 years while growing up in **** cant believe this is how loyal customers get treated. They should be put out of business.VASA Fitness

Hi ****,I apologize that this has been your experience with ****! I do see that we attempted to contact you via your contact information on file many times advising of the past due balance before the membership was sent to collections. The membership agreement does state that memberships need to be up to date to process a cancellation. I do see that you requested to cancel in February, where you were advised of the past due balance and that we were unable to cancel until that past due balance was made. Since we never received payment on the account, your membership was written off to collections. At this point, you would be responsible for pay them directly.Review fromVickie B

Do not sign a Personal Training contract! What they dont tell you is even if they caused an injury you cant cancel your contract! I am now in physical therapy because of their lack of knowledge! There is no recourse!! I felt like I was belittled into signing the contract. I told the person multiple times that I was not comfortable signing the contract!Say no and walk away! Dont worry about being rude! Just do it! As an elderly person I feel like I was disrespected!VASA Fitness

Hello,I sincerely apologize that this has been your experience with Personal Training. It is never our intention to be misleading. The Personal Training subscription is valid so you would be responsible for the remaining payments. If you are wanting to cancel, the two ways to cancel while under subscription are either due to relocation (if you've moved more than 25 miles from the nearest gym), or if you sell/transfer your training to someone else. Both require a $100 cancellation fee. We do not have a medical or financial hardship clause for cancellation. I do see that your training is currently on freeze until 10/19/24.Review fromSuri

I have joined *********** on July 6th and the person explaining plans to me mentioned you can take 2 guest with you in our studio membership. I have cancelled my LA fitness membership and switched to VASA. On July 22 they asked me you can only have guest with you twice a month. I don't have choice except cancel membership. they have charged annual fee, monthly fee and I went to gym only for 14 days. They said something else while explaining plan and after taking plan they restrict you to use gym.VASA Fitness

Hello ********,I apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the guests. Part of the perks offered on the STUDIO level membership are members are allowed to bring a guest 2x a month. If you are wanting to bring guests each time you come to the gym, you would need to pay the additional $15.99 a month.Review fromPrimo G

I just got hit with $500 gone to collections because when I called in to cancel my membership, it was not in "written form". I used to work at ****. Whenever anyone wanted to cancel, we were instructed to have them call the number. I called the number. My account was deactivated. Until it wasn't. Until **** hit me with $95 past due!! When I called the office to straighten it out, I agreed that **** would keep the $95 but please stop billing me. Today I wake up to $500 that has been sent to collections. For what? Please, what ever you do. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNTVASA Fitness

Hello,I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. The membership agreement does state that we need a written request to process a cancellation. I am not seeing that we received a prior request to cancel your membership. If you have written proof of this prior request, please send it for review. Otherwise, you are responsible for the balance owed to ****** and Associates.Review fromKim A

I have been at **** since 2021. I loved the gym and the people. However, 4 months ago I froze my account which I do understand it lasts for 3 months. Last month I went into the gym, gave written notice I wanted to cancel my membership and was not informed it needed to be done either online or by phone. I was charged ***** this month for the freeze being up and for a yearly fee first I did not receive any email that my year was up or my freeze was up. But it should not have mattered as I wanted to cancel a month ago. Im under the assumption whoever I spoke to at the gym gave me the wrong information which I am now being penalized for. Customer ********************** has not been helpful and there is no accountability on ***** part. Apart from this whole cancelation issue paying customers should always be informed of annual fees coming out of your account. Im very disappointed in how this has been handled.VASA Fitness

Hello ***,I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. When you originally requested to cancel, a 30 day notice would have been owed. The payment you were charged for was that 30 day notice, which included your monthly STUDIO dues and the Rate Guarantee Fee. The Rate Guarantee Fee is first drafted 60 days after originally sign up and every year on that date as long as the membership is active. Since it was owed in the next 30 days, it was owed to cancel. I apologize for any inconvenience!Review fromSuzy O

My daughter, who was 37 at the time two years ago, and has been disabled since she was 6 months old, tried to cancel her membership with **** by calling them. Apparently, this was not good enough. They have continually added more fees, fines, you name it, until her bill is over $1,200. We have called many times to unrelenting, rude people whose *NLY C*NCERN is to get the money they feel is owed to them. Think about it before you sign up with them if you want to be connected to such unreputable people who will care nothing for you and only THEIR check books. They continue to harass my daughter for money they feel is owed to them. Suzy *VASA Fitness
