Would never recommend doing business with this gym. The gyms are always busy, machines are difficult to get on and they are constantly broken. I cancelled my membership after staff messed up our accounts and then increased the price without advising us when asking them to fix their mistake. I can't trust a business that doesn't have honor, ethics or can't operate on good faith. When contacting customer **********************, they never apologized to offered to correct their mistakes. As a business owner myself, I can't imagine operating in this manner or treating customers so poorly especially after several years of membership. I would rather pay a heck of a lot more for a nice, clean gym that's not over-crowded and the customers are treated better.VASA Fitness

Hello *******,I sincerely apologize for the negative experience you had with staff in our clubs. I do see that your membership was cancelled with no further billing. If you would like to give us another try, I would be happy to give you a free month credit on us.Review fromElizabeth S

I am writing to file a complaint against **** regarding their billing and handling my account. Despite having an account with ****, I have never utilized their services. Recently, I froze my account and was given no notice that my account after being frozen for 90 days was reactivated and my account was charged almost $100 in which I planned In my weekly spending to put food on the table for my family. Inconsiderable and no empathy at all, please be aware and read the very fine print. I was excited that **** was new to my area, however they fall in line with all the other gyms. They made $185 off of me and I never even stepped into thier gym. And then they refer u to an app to dispute ur charges. The front staff want nothing to do with billing and ur referred to an app. Scammers at thier finest.VASA Fitness

Hello,I apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the freeze. When the hold was placed via the app in March, it did advise when the hold would end. When the hold ended, the billing automatically began billing again. I do see that your membership is now cancelled.Review fromMelody B

I have a very similar story to many of those detailed here. So I won't bore everyone with those details because from the other reviews, one can nearly predict what the issue is with ****. I pulled up the BBB to give a description of my concern with ****'s treatment of those of us trying to terminate contracts only to find that we continue to be fined. From what I've seen, part of the issue is that once you sign this predatory contract, you are locked into a precarious future of continued charges. So you don't know the impact until you get hit with continued charges after terminating your contract. I don't see this experience changing unless **** is held responsible for changing the way they structure their contracts. They won't make those changes without consumers impacting their bottom line. The other issue is that the Better Business Bureau lists **** with an "A" rating. The reason for this is because the rating is impacted by how many complaints have been submitted on VASA. To date, **** has received 454 complaints. Given the size of the company, that isn't enough to more severely impact the overall company rating. So I encourage consumers to not only write a review but, more importantly, submit a formal complaint on this website as well. The more complaints, the lower the rating. Perhaps **** will then reconsider how they draft contracts once they realize it impacts their bottom line and potential future consumers. In short, DO NOT go to VASA. And if you do, know what you're getting into. And please, if you have the same experiences as so many have, submit a complaint.VASA Fitness

Hello,Thank you for your review. I apologize that this has been your experience. The Personal Training agreement does outline the payment amounts, and how many payments you are agreeing to.Review fromMeeya S

Originally when I signed up for personal training they told me I can cancel at any time. A month in I decided to cancel the services because I was not getting the training I signed up for. However they would not cancel personal training and took me on a full circle. Instead they told me to freeze my entire membership. I have contacted them multiple times and get the same response and I dont even live near a vasa anymore. They have bad customer ********************** and will charge your card and add on fee after fee. I hate this company and wish I never been there. Horrible experienceVASA Fitness

Hello,I apologize that this has been your experience. Our Personal Training is a subscription, so you would be responsible for the payments that you agreed to when you signed up. If you moved further than 25 miles away from any VASA, you can pay the $100 cancellation fee and send proof of address and we can get it cancelled out. Please contact us at ******************************** to send proof of this address.Review fromJake F

**** does not do business in good faith. They are the **** of ****** fees and will stick you with any fee they can through ****** wording in their contracts. They make it INCREDIBLY difficult to resolve any billing issues and will stick you with any fee they can if you attempt to cancelregardless of your circumstance or how long you have been a customer.Their Member Support team is does not provide any sort of supportin fact, they are incredibly abrasive, combative, and hostile. I waited for ***************************************************************************************************************************************************** after a few minutes of trying to ask them why I was being charged. There does not seem to be any sort of management structure at any of their locations or with their Member Support team. I have never met or seen a location manager and when I asked the Member Support agent if I could speak to a manager about my bill because she told me she couldnt help me, the agent told me she didnt have one.I was a loyal customer with **** for several years and it is disheartening to see the way they treat their long-time customers who have given them their business for such a long time. This is a bad faith business.VASA Fitness

I signed up for VASA February 2024, paid the fees and thought I was all set. A few weeks later I started getting calls from their collection agency about a declined credit card. I checked at VASA the next time i worked out and they said everything was fine. A few weeks later, the same thing happened. Again, back to VASA, and this time, the guy at the front desk said that the person who originally signed me up had made a mistake. He took my CC payment and assured me that everything was taken care of - NOT. A few weeks later - more harassing phone calls (it's now May). I finally got someone at the collection agency who seemed to know what they were doing. He said the VASA employees had failed (three times) to enter my CC info correctly or failed to save the info correctly, took my payment and assured me that now everything is fine. Hopefully the fourth time is the charm.VASA Fitness

An absolutely criminal organization partnered with a collection agency as there billing partner. If you can go workout anywhere else I would recommend it. Do not sign a contract with them..VASA Fitness

I contacted Arizona State Attorney for their obvious shady and criminal enterprise of VASA fitness.Locking unsuspecting people into promissory notes for hundeds of dollars without signature or written contract presented to customer. Watch out everyone with physical assessment test. It is a financial trap and extreme predatory business.VASA Fitness

During my brief stint as a VASA Fitness member, I encountered a rather frustrating experience. When I decided to terminate my membership, the process felt like navigating a labyrinth. Here’s what I went through: 1. Cancellation Channels: First, I discovered that in-person cancellations at the center were a no-go. Instead, I had to choose between canceling online or via phone. 2. 30-Day Notice: Then came the revelation that I needed to provide a 30-day notice. This meant they could continue charging me for an entire month even though I was eager to part ways. 3. Confusing Emails: I emailed customer service to ensure a clean break. However, their return emails were a cryptic puzzle. I’m still uncertain whether my membership was truly canceled or how long they’ll keep tapping into my wallet. 4. Final Verdict: In summary, I wouldn’t recommend this facility. It feels like a total racket—a place where membership woes and confusion reign supreme.VASA Fitness

Hi *******, We strive to make cancelling as seamless as possible for our members. I apologize that this was not the case for you! It does look like your membership has been cancelled. Your last bill date was 4/18/24 and you will have access to the gym until 6/15/24.Review fromMolly F.

I asked if they could help me out. I have an autoimmune disease and Im having a flareup right now. I keep having to cancel my reservations and I keep racking up fees. I keep hoping Im gonna be able to come in so I didnt cancel because if I cancel, then I lose my spot and Im not able to get it back. I always have to book out two weeks in advance for the class and childcare-***** S said:Hi *****, We are unable to waive any Kidcare or STUDIO no show/late cancellation fees owed. In order to avoid these fees you would need to cancel within the cancellation window or you can call the club directly and have them cancel the Kidcare appointments for you, however the STUDIO appointments cannot be canceled manually. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns, thank you! I pay almost $100 a month in membership as it is some compassion and understanding would be nice. I plan on cancelling.VASA Fitness

Hello *****,I apologize for any frustration this may cause. This policy is in place so that all members have an opportunity to book classes, and minimize the amount of people booking classes and not showing up. While I understand what you are saying, we are unable to waive this policy. Thanks for your understanding regarding this!
