  Our panels were installed yesterday and we are so impressed with this company! ******* was our initial contact and was no pressure. He answered many questions and got us scheduled with *** *******. He came to the house and spent a couple hours going over everything and explained the process. Everything went EXACTLY as promised and communication through each step was perfect. We were informed before each step and *** always followed up to be sure it was done and we were happy with the process. Highly recommend them, so professional, efficient, and top notch. From start to finish was about 6-7 weeks and that's with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's holidays. Just have to get inspection completed and meter changed out and we're good to go. Thanks guys!

  If I could give zero stars I would. Ion Solar tells you multiple times in the sales process about the 25 year warranty - but they don't tell you that services are extra for 23 of those years (that is in the fine print only), they don't tell you how they will force you to use their services by voiding your 25 year parts warranty if you use anyone else, they don't tell you how they will fail to pull permits before removing your panels or delay months in putting the panels back on the house. They sell the panels and then as a locked in customer force you to overpay for any service while they mismanage anything you do pay for.

  I would not recommend doing business with ion solar. Our representative ***** ******* guaranteed us that we earned the tax credit. He also said that any electric we didnt use would go back on the grid from our supplier and we would get a credit. I told him then that I didnt want two bills and he again guaranteed me the we would even come close to using that much electricity. Now on his I pad I had read what I thought was everything. I just received a bill from aes saying I owe them money, in the meantime I went on the app to see the agreement ( was looking for a certain phone number) now I know this will be a he said she said but I actually believe they through in extra pages that I didnt read on his I pad , because i came across a paragraph that says your not guaranteed the tax credit which I had call our representative and he informed me that they have to put that in there, you should be good humm ok. And then came across another paragraph that ion or dividend is not responsible for anything your representative tells you. So I wouldnt recommend ion , but if you choose to,make sure you read everything and ask every question you can. I definitely have this feeling now my bill will go up again because now the tax credit isnt guaranteed.

  Please ask your **** to respect no soliciting signs and please ask them to not ring the door bell twice and knock. My kids were sleeping so this was not appreciated. ****** was the rep. ** there was a zero star I would choose that rating.

  Stay Away From This Company!We decided to use Ion Solar to have solar panels installed. We did so even though past reviews were not good, but with new administration we thought we'd give them a shot. Things started off well, we were approved quickly by their preferred lender, about 5 months ago. Regular progress updates were provided and customer service was good.Things changed quickly however. Updates became more sporadic, as did project progress. **************** was nearly non-existent even we repeatedly contacted them and asked about the project.Two days ago, their preferred lender notified us that our financing had been canceled. Apparently the project had taken too long and not shown enough progress so that they could begin billing us.When I notified Ion Solar of this and said since the project funding had been canceled the project was over, they charged us a $3500 cancelation fee. I don't know whether the project failed due to their total ineptitude or there were some darker reasons. ***** its part of their business model?

  ***** was personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. He arranged everything and was very patient with my never ending questions. He's a superb salesman!The Ion Solar team were great to work with. It took a few months to get the ball rolling and the correct approvals, but once it was in place, the install team came out and set up all of my solar panels. It takes another month or so to get the local utility company to connect, which can be frustrating, but I've they did, Ion was great about coming back out to make sure all of the connections were working and syncing on the app. I've had them now for a little over a year and my electricity bill averages 0 dollars in the summer months and up to 30 dollars a month in the winter. (Keeping in mind that I pay a flat monthly fee of around 150 or so each month to pay off the solar panels... But that's half of what I was paying the utility company previously!... And the payment doesn't ever go up because I'm just paying off the solar panels.)As a reference, I have about 23 panels on the south, East and Western facing sides of my roof... None on the north, and there are no trees in the way. Ion estimated that I would only price about 60 percent of my electric usage based off of my geographic location, so I've been thrilled that I'm producing almost 100 percent. You can also sell back some of your over production to the utility company for pennies on the dollar (optional).I think the hardest part of the whole thing was waiting for everything to get hooked up and connected and the stress of not knowing how much energy we would produce. So far, so great! I got mine at the end of 2022, and they were connected and running by Feb of 2023. I got a tax credit incentive for installing them, which was an added bonus! I'm a very happy customer!

  BEWARE.Their sales team will do ANYTHING to get into your home. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR!When they first knocked on my door, ******, their scout, assured me that he was "not a salesman" and "not selling anything" then proceeded to tell me that he was "working *with* the power company" to help "lock people in their current monthly rates before they go up 20%-30%". He told me about several initiatives from *Rocky Mountain Power* that are real programs, and do give cashback if you qualify, but said NOTHING about Ion Solar other than assuring me that they're "just trying to help lock people in their rates." This all sold the ruse that he was with ***. He told me if I let him take a picture of my power usage in the *** app, that he would send someone with a free smart thermostat to install it the next day. I asked some probing questions to confirm he wasn't lying (I have sales experience so I know to question a "free gift" when I see one) and I set a time the following day to get my free ************* their "Engineer" pulls up the following night in a Blue Mustang with racing stripes (very subtle, definitely a good sign) and wastes ******************************************** that going solar (finally told me WHAT they do) would cost me double my current bill. "But you would own it!" I'm not a moron. So where's my free thermostat? "Oh that's if you sign." ****. So their door to door boy lied? To rub salt in the wound, this idiot engineer starts telling me that they "have job openings" for "people like" me and said he would text or email me afterward. But it was all to just build rapport. Haven't heard back since. But I know how it goes. Jerk. Even after he lost the sale he was still trying to get something out of me in my own home. I just couldn't believe ***** time and their time could have been saved if their door to door idiot wasn't a liar. Are you/your company selling something? YES. You ARE! Is the thermostat free? If you sign! Terrible way to do biz. Rot in h***

  I am pleased so far with ION. The sales rep **** *** has been great and the installation crew was courteous and professional. My system has been installed recently and in the waiting mode for the inspectors to show up but I am happy at this point

  Ion Solar has been one of the most incompetent companies Ive ever dealt with. The workmanship is substandard, the lack of communication is below any industry standard. The engineers want to do revisions without city approval. The lack of communication with trying to escalate to resolve issues its not existence

  I can't say enough good about my experience with ION Solar! From the salesman to the installation team, this is the best company if you are looking to go solar. They kept me in the loop every step of the way and have followed through. If you plan to go solar, go with ION solar as they are the very best. You can't beat their warranty either.
