  I was told by the Ion Solar sales rep that if i purchased their solar kit at that time. (2022) that my electric company would keep me on tier 1 rate forever and it became the deciding factor for me to purchase from them. I talked to my electric company recently and they told me that i was given bogus info. Now i owe $15,000 for the loan i got for this solar kit.I also found out that they overcharged me $6,000-$10,000 and now i am screwed.

  If you are looking to add solar panels to your home, DO NOT use Ion Solar. They came in with their sales pitch saying you'll never pay more than the ** Energy service fee of $13.50 a month and if you do it will be minimal. I've had power bills upwards of $200. Their "guess" on how much energy we will use because it was a new development was way off, obviously. They say my panels are working and that we have enough panels, which is wrong because if I did, I wouldn't have these outrageous bills. Our panels have only over produced ONE time in two years. They will not send anyone out to our home to check the panels and they gave me a generic email answer. Very dishonest in my opinion...

  My sales rep *** met me on June 17th and discussed our options. We agreed and settled on a 13KW enphase system comprising of 31 panels with micro inverters. My site survey was schedule for Wednesday June 19th after our welc Call with corporate on Monday the 17th. On Thursday the 20 I received a call to schedule install on the 25th. A bit sceptical of how fast this process was running I reach out to *** to confirm and he assured me that while it does not always runs that smoothly their reputation and relationships with the various governing department afforded them the luxury of getting permits and authorizations that much faster. Needless to say on June 25th his crew lead ***** reach out to let me know that he was on his way to get my installation done at 7:21 am. ***** and his crew if 2 other installer arrived approximately 8 am made introductions, performed a site survey with me to confirm installation and then got to work. At 2:23 pm I received a good by text from ***** as they were done installation, clean up, system commissioning and programming, connected system to my WiFi and prior to all that a dried overview of what was installed and what to expect next.I say all this to say that I have had solar installation in the past and have had bad experience with it, but this experience certainly blew that experience out of the water. Everything was well communicated via text email after every process. I received a text and an email confirming completion or confirming Information And both *** and his crew ***** and installers were ***** professional, friendly, polite, and a joy and a pleasure to work with.Thanks, *** and your crew and Ion Solar for such a wonderful experience thus far now just waiting to get inspection and authorization to flip the switch and start harnessing the sun.

  We were getting into the car when they walked up, "Oh, headed to the pool?""Yep."But then, rather than a simple, "Sounds fun, have a good time," the sales person instead hit us with, "Okay, I be quick."The complete disregard for our time contained in those four words made my blood boil, so I told him to leave. He just stood there feigning incredulity. He wasn't being inconsiderate by preventing us from leaving, I was being unreasonable by not disrupting my plans to listen to him. I repeated several times for him to leave my house and his reaction was the same each time. Finally I yelled at him to leave and asked, "How are you not understanding this?" He then had the **** to say that I was the one being rude.

  Have had a great experience so far with ION Solar. Crew showed up when expected, install was timely, and clean up was also good afterwards. All in all, a very positive experience. Our Sales rep ******* was also very knowledgeable and quickly answered all my questions.

  HORRIBLE! Does not provide service despite repeated calls, texts and emails for three weeks. Eventually stops answering phone. Required payment in advance of even scheduling a technician, then gave the run around about why it couldn't be scheduled. DO NOT USE THEM. Finally had to notify my bank to reverse the payment and get my own electrician out.

  I would leave less than 1 start if I could. I signed a contract with *** in April of 2023 and paid them my money in May of 2023. In October of ************************************************************************************************************************* to connect them to the electrical grid. As of this date, June 23 2024 I still do not have functioning solar panels. Since May 10 of 2024, I have not been able to get ION to even respond to me. I tried text, phone, email. Nothing. I filed a suit against them on June 21 2024. Waiting to see where that takes me.

  I had an appointment scheduled to talk to a salesman about putting solar panels on my home, which began the day prior when another rep came knocking on my door. After talking to me at length about how it would lower my energy bill, he suggested that I do a site survey. He emailed me a contract for what he said was just to do the site survey and reassured me several times that it was not a binding contract and that I would still have plenty of time to think it over. He rushed through the contract telling me what it said, and I signed it, thinking it was for a site survey only. Later that night I re-read the contract and saw that it was an official purchase contract for over $24,000 and that I only had three business days (two remaining) to get a signed copy of the cancellation form to their office in **** (I live in ******). I was able to overnight the contract and am waiting for confirmation that it was received. After I asked the salesman about this the following day, he continued to tell me conflicting information from what was in the contract. Additionally, he said he did not work for Ion Solar, and instead for a broker. He didnt have any business cards on him, and his email address was an @ion email address. Their sales tactics are highly misleading and deceptive and should be further investigated.

  I did a review about the install but forgot to mention ******, my Sales Rep.! ***** for him Id never have gotten solar panels. Wed get 4 guys a week banging on our door selling solar. Never would even consider it. ******* demeanor and easy-going relaxed calmness put us at ease as he explained the in-outs of dealing with City, State regs, rebates, cost analysis and paper work. Answered all our questions in a manner we understood. He was really awesome!

  No respect for no soliciting signs as he was dropping his sales pitch I asked if he'd seen the sign the young man said that wasn't for him. Idiot that's exactly who it's for
