Approx 4 years ago a Blue Raven representative knocked on my door and we scheduled a solar panel consult. At the consult I was quoted a price of $140,000 to install enough solar panels to save me approx $300 a month - ridiculous quote! I said no. Since then I continue to receive phone solicitations, each one coming from a different phone number. I have requested numerous times to be removed from the call list but the calls keep coming. This year the calls have increased where I am receive 3-4 every week. This is a clear violation of the Do Not Call List rules, which my phone is registered with.Business Response

Blue Raven Solar installed a system on our home in February of 2025. They weren't able to install immediately due to state licensing issues. When they did, it took a couple of weeks to commission and energize the system with our energy provider. On March 4th the energy provider came out and energized the system and told us everything was good. During the first month and a week I watched our collection come in. A couple of days ago I received a bill from our energy company expecting the collection to reflect on it. I then found out Blue Raven Solar said that the energy company did not grant a permission to turn on even though they turned it on. Our system meanwhile was collecting over 900 kW in energy, none which we got credited for. Now, they refuse to tell me where the energy they collected with our system went (even though we know it went to the electric company or back into the grid).Initial Complaint

I was first contacted by blue raven solar through a phone call and I talked with a sales *** that wouldn't take no for an answer on 4/11/25. He called me back from a different number twice more and kept pushing for me to get a quote. I said call me on 4/16. The called 3 times on Saturday 4/12 and i finally told the fellow on the other end I was filing a complaint with the BBB.Business Response

On February 29 2025 the installation crew was leaving my property and ran over a broke my mail box. I was told by **** ****** that they would reimburse me 250$ for damages. It has been 45 days and no monies have been received. The crew did not even tell me they did it. I noticed it when I went out to see if they were finished.Business Response

We have been working with Blue Raven and ****** ******* since late December 2024. Full background below:1. Dec. 2024: we notice the leak is occurring again in the exact same spot (occurred 2 years ago). We again call Blue Raven who sent out a technician in early January and confirmed whoever did the "fix" a couple years ago simply patched it and the hole was back and causing new damage (we have pictures of the attic). 2. We are told to work with ****** ******* who will organize the roofers to come out. Panels were removed in January for the roofers.4. All assistance from ****** stopped. I kept reaching out on when roofers were going to be scheduled and was told "I am having trouble getting estimates". I offered to get estimates myself and was able to get 2 roofing companies to come out within 2 weeks (this was Feb. 26 and 27).5. I send the estimates to ****** on March 6, 2025. He responds he will review and get back to me.6. Since then I have sent multiple emails, multiple texts, and multiple calls with no response since March 10. My husband has called multiple times and reached out to Blue Raven directly (since we had no communication anymore from ******) 6 times in March and April.7. Over 4 months to clean up an issue that started a couple years ago from installation leak. No clue on why it's difficult for ****** to find roofers when I could find 2. At this point I don't care, we need this fixed, we have water in our bedroom. Spring rain is causing more damage to our ceiling. I don't feel that I should continue to live with this water coming into a bucket in my bedroom and paying for solar panels that are not even functioning. Panels are STILL off our roof to this day.We need a date on when this will be resolved and next steps as soon as possible. ***** promised a supervisor would call us back on 04/04/2025, this also did not happen.Business Response

On January 31 I signed a contract with Blue Raven to get solar panels installed on my home. Blue Raven promptly charged the credit card I provided for the 50% deposit. After much contemplation, I decided to cancel this project and requested a refund. As of today, April 3, I have still not been refunded my deposit.Business Response

Blue Heven Solar NEEDS to stop calling people RANDOM and calling people as Robo calls or what ever there EXCUSES they have to SOLICIT ! STOP CALLING RAMDOM PEOPLE. I have no issues filing another complain on Blue Raven Solar, LLC furthermore we are on the do not call list so why is Blue Raven Solar, LLC contacting us? we never asked for you to contact me and I like Blue Raven Solar, LLC to admit they are in the wrong and should not be calling us ! Also I may ad it is against the law when we are on the do not call ***************************************************************************** so we can investigate and resolve the issue promptly. and open investigate why they are calling us when we are on the do not call list. Bait and switch.. was told my solar panels would replace my energy bill 100%. Now my energy bill is higher than before I purchased the solar panel package. Was not told *** would take any residual energy stored at the end of the year and not give me credit. To date the panels have under produced requiring me to pay almost 100% of used energy from the power company.Business Response

In the Home Improvement Contract signed by each Blue Raven customer, it is clearly stated that we cannot guarantee a specific energy offset due to variables beyond our control, such as changes in energy usage, weather conditions, and shading. However, we do guarantee that the system will produce energy within a specified range based on our production estimates. According to Enphase monitoring reports, this customer's system is currently exceeding the guaranteed production levels.
This customers ********************** system was designed based on an annual usage of ****** kWh. The customer reviewed, approved, and signed off on a system designed to produce ***** kWh annually. These specifications are documented in the signed contract.
Additionally, we have no control over how utility companies manage excess energy produced by the customers ********************** system. We recommend that the customer contact their utility provider directly for any questions or concerns related to energy crediting or excess energy policies.
