Purchased three tickets to the Lights Fest Kansas City event which was to be held in Warrensburg, MO on 3/30. The company moved the event to 4/20 and notified me by email. I have a family wedding that day and so can not go. I emailed requesting my money back. The company said it can move the event whenever it wants and if I can’t go that’s my problem and will not refund my money back. If you hire someone to perform a service on a specific date at a specific time that is the contract. If the company can not fulfill that, they need to return funds paid. From what I read it seems they do this a lot. I wish I would have read up on the company before purchasing. If it’s not a scam, it’s deceptive business practices. I want others to be aware and hopefully save them some money. I am also filing a consumer complaint with the state of Missouri.Initial Complaint

I bought two tickets to the light fest in “Austin” that was supposed be in February. Days before it had been pouring rain, and was forecasted to be even worse the night of the event. Despite people asking if it was going to be postponed, they did not give any updates until the morning of. Then once we got there the “parking lot” (dirt field) started flooding out and turning to mud. Most cars started leaving to avoid getting stuck there. Then when we got to the event field all the bands were gone and food trucks were closed due to the weather. Cops and staff started telling people to leave because of how bad the weather was. Still no updates from the coordinators. So we left along with most other people. On our way out there was still a line of cars waiting to get in that stretched for miles. Come to find out 3 hours later they still did the lantern send off. They’re extremely lucky 3/4 of the people left. That field was about the size of a professional football field and they way oversold tickets. No way in hell everyone would’ve fit into the small space the cops were telling us to fit into. It was already getting cramped by the time most people started leaving and there was a line of people still trying to enter that was once again, MILES long. At this point still no one was given updates by the coordinators.Initial Complaint

I have about six tickets to the light festival in Virginia and it was dated November 18, 2023. They postpone it till further notice and in their policy after three months of delay and not announcing a new date they should refund us the money and I’ve been asking them since February 23rd after it’s been 90 days it’s still postponed they won’t answer my emails there’s no way you can contact them except by email I tried to contact them via Facebook. Oct. 03, 2023, I purchased 2 tickets (Order #*******) to the “The Lights Fest” event for Virginia Nov. 18, 2023. I was notified via email and text message on 11/17/23- the day before the event, by the Lights Fest that the event was going to be postponed/ rescheduled. Their email claimed the event would be postponed/rescheduled and if the event was not rescheduled within 90 days the tickets would be refundable. 90 days was on 02/18/24, and there has been NO notification of event rescheduling via email, text, social media, or their website. I reached out via the email provided (**********************) in the postponement email requesting information on the “rescheduled” event or refund, there was only a generic acknowledgement of my email being received and there has been no follow up from The Lights Fest since. I again followed up by emailing ********************** on 03/01/2024 notifying them that I would like a refund. The Lights Fest has no phone number listed so this is the only means by which to contact them. I have not been issued a refund and this company has not responded other than their initial automated acknowledgement reply email to my first email.Initial Complaint

On November 14th I purchased tickets from this company for a festival that would occur on the 18th in Fredericksburg. A day before the event it was cancelled due to weather. On their website, it’s listed that if a new date isn’t scheduled within 90, ONLY THEN, can you request a refund. It has now surpassed 90 days. I have submitted two requests for a refund. Both have gone unanswered. I would like my money returned to me as it was advertised. I hear that this isn’t the only time that they have done this.Initial Complaint

My wife paid for a event which was delayed to a bad time and location for us. We tried to request a refund but are running into issues.
Date of Transaction: Tickets Purchased on July 24, 2023
Money Paid: $124.40 for tickets, tax, and service fees
Business Commitment Provided: Event is to provide a night event in Sacramento on October 21st, 2023 where they would release lanterns into the sky with music, dancing, food, etc. In the event of rescheduling, refunds will be provided if the event was not rescheduled within 90 days.
Nature of Dispute: After 90 days we tried to request a refund. We have tried multiple times to get in contact about the refund but have heard no response. The event was rescheduled to April 27th, 2024 in Stonyford, CA. This date does not work for us, the new location is well out of reasonable travel range for a event, and it was not been rescheduled within the 90 days of the original date.

Purchased tickets for entrance fees and lanterns for The Lights Fest on July 11, 2023 for event to be held in Sacramento, CA. Two weeks prior to event date, The Lights Fest, texted and emailed that the event location was moved to Colusa County, CA but did not specify the exact location. Day-of event, received a text that the event is cancelled.
I have been requesting a full refund in the amount of $264.20 for order #*******. On their FAQs stated on their website, ******************,

As stated in the terms and agreement provided at the time of purchase, tickets are non-refundable. Event dates and location are subject to change. If an event is cancelled and a make-up date is not scheduled within 90 days of the original event date then refunds will be offered.

I bought tickets back in July 2023 to The Lights Festival. Three days prior to the event, got an email that it was moved to a different location. The next day, got another email that says it is postponed due to approval process being incomplete and waiting on the fire marshal. Their email stated that after 90 days, if the event isn’t rescheduled within that time, you can ask for a refund.
It is now past the 90 days, and I’ve reached out SEVERAL times to get my money back and it’s been crickets. No response or communication back. I’ve sent 3 emails, filled out the refund page twice, and sent a FB message.
I get an email yesterday saying it’s rescheduled, but now it’s moved 2 hours away! I once again asked for refund and still no response.

2/10/2024 Lights Festival in Austin. It was raining all day yet no updates from the company about the event. Drove 2 hours to venue, waited in line for 45 minutes. When we got to the parking attendant they let us know the event was being cancelled and rescheduled due to the rain. We drove home and later found out that the event did end up happening. We were lead astray by the company and received unclear communication and did not receive the service we paid for.
