      Vivint is awful! I have regretted doing business with them, trying to cancel my subscription and it's been a nightmare!! PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! Please make sure you know that you have 3 days to cancel or change your mind about their service. They will sell you one thing and add 10 more, your salesperson will tell you differently, they are lying to you. You'll have two bills, one for service and the other for equipment. Please don't do business with them.

      We had several kids come by to ask if we wanted Vivint installed after they saw our ADT sign. My partner caved, and agreed to their 30-day free trial. We were told if we did not like their system, they would remove it and replace our ADT system. It took the kid about 6 hours to install 2 window sensors, 2 door sensors, a ring camera, a back yard camera, and a garage sensor. They destroyed our ADT camera cord when removing it (without advising us of the damage). After the first 3 days or so, we could not access the app for our security system, and were left without a system while we were gone from home. Called them to have it removed. They didn't call us back. Tried for over 2 weeks. Finally told them they needed to remove their equipment before we looked into a lawyer for breach of contract. They finally showed up 2 weeks later to remove their system. The *** said he was "not allowed" to reinstall our ADT per the original agreement. As we are trying to reinstall what we can, we found several broken wires that now require ADT to replace (at OUR expense). We were also told their "super fancy ring front door camera" was "only available through Vivint." Found the exact camera at ******** for about a third of the price they wanted to charge us. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or money with Vivint.

      Are there negative stars? NEVER, EVER USE THIS AS YOUR HOME SECURITY. I just spent 55 minutes trying to cancel this 2 year subscription, was transferred to 6 different people, had to get on the phone with Citizens twice to confirm my loan was paid off. This company is disgusting.

      We had a Vivint sales *** door knock our house three days after I returned from a deployment. The reason we agreed to get the service and equipment was the wife was worried while I was gone and felt the system would provide her a sense of security while I would be gone. We understood we were under contract to pay the equipment thats not a problem. The is we were straight lied to about other obligations. We were told our uninstall would be free of charge because were in a rental and were planning a move 6 months later and were promised the holes/ damage would be ***aired. So we move get charge 220$ for uninstall not only that was a lie but nothing was ***aired so that cost us a security deposit as well. When we moved into a house with a system already in use I try to cancel out monitoring service and apparently we cant??? Id have to pay the the remaining 4 years on a monitoring service out side of the equipment??? Complete and utter scam. Company should be put out of business for misinformation and fraud. Thousands of dollars down the drain for a useless system that sits in a closet.

      Worst **************** Experience Avoid at All Costs Ive never encountered customer service as terrible as ***********************. The representatives were extremely rude and dismissive, and they make canceling their service nearly impossible. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone, being bounced around and repeatedly told I couldnt cancel despite having paid off my equipment a year ago.They ignored everything I said and kept throwing out excuses to convince me to stay, completely disregarding my decision. I had to provide proof that my cameras were fully paid off and they still didnt believe me. They even contacted the third-party bank themselves to confirm it, just to delay the process.After all that, they finally said my cancellation request was submitted but then told me Id still be charged for another 30 days without my consent. When I said I didnt agree to that, they simply said I had no ********* make matters worse, they forced me to verbally agree to misleading statements just to process the cancellation. If I didnt say the exact words they wanted, they refused to proceed.Vivint is by far the worst company *** dealt with. Their tactics are deceptive, manipulative, and designed to trap you. I strongly advise anyone considering them to stay far ******* honestly makes me question why they make writing a review so difficult almost like they know exactly what theyre doing.

      SCAM...video doorbell camera APP stopped working for activities and they said I needed a panel as they found they had issues so wanted to charge me $900 for a panel and new doorbell camera with $35 monthly monitoring fee and commit to 42 months....

      I recently moved into a new home that already had a Vivint system installed. Since it was there, we figured wed give it a try. Unfortunately, the experience has been nothing short of frustrating.We moved in on a Thursday, but were told we couldnt activate the system until the following Tuesday. Even the sales *** admitted that didnt sound right and promised to follow up via text within the hour a follow-up that never happened. So, we waited until Tuesday.The activation was scheduled for 11 a.m., but instead, I received a text from the technician asking what time worked best. I ***lied, Now is good, only to be told he was currently on a call but could text. If texting was the only option, why wasnt that the default communication method to begin with?We managed to get everything set up via text, but a few days later, the panel started chiming every two minutes for no reason. I contacted support and was walked through troubleshooting steps, but the issue persisted. I called again, ready to remove the system entirely. Even after unplugging the unit, the chiming continued. Another call to support led nowhere, and I was eventually told by a customer loyalty *** that the panel was outdated and needed to be ***laced at my expense.This was never mentioned during sign-up. Had I known Id immediately have to purchase new equipment, I never would have agreed to activate the service. I asked to cancel, only to be informed that Id be charged a $250 termination fee.I feel misled, taken advantage of, and extremely disappointed. This experience has been unacceptable from start to finish.

      Camera stopped working,the stick one to door fell off and the pictures were horrible,I called twice,1 customer Service **** said it was 300 dollars to cancel.When I decided to pay $300 dollars,called back and was told it was $500 .Upset,how did it go up?

      This company attempted to sell to my elderly grandmother and entered her home. They made her sit with the young man on the couch, and he promised not to hurt her. This is completely unacceptable to enter the home of someone who does not have the wherewithal to give full permission. We have all of the outdoor interaction on her doorbell camera.

      Vivint only cares about making sales. I signed a multiple year contract and then life circumstances changed drastically including a divorce and more. They do not care if you no longer need or want their service. I've called multiple times asking to end the contract, but they will only do that if I pay all the remaining months + a fee for early termination. So I'd be paying MORE for ending the service. What kind of company wants to force you to keep their service knowing you don't want it?! I really loathe Vivint the company.I paid off my equipment loan in 2023 and here after 40 minutes on a call with customer service today, (a bad connection with an English as a 2nd language call center which is hard to understand), the call was just ended by them. No resolution to my issue. No call back. The effort to provide resolution was to lower the monthly payment and get me to sign ANOTHER contract. Stay far away from this company.
