Fleetsmarts called my phone in January to discuss a Fuel Card as I have a new DOT and MC Number. I said I would think about it and that was the end of our conversation. Two weeks later while trying to sign up for a ***************** I was informed that there is a hold on my *** causing me to be unable to work with anyone else. I have made several phone-calls to get the lien removed and was informed that a fee of $500 will be needed for a release of the lien. On 1 of my numerous calls to them I added my girlfriend to the call as she is more familiar with paperwork. She asked for any documentation they have that will constitute as an agreement to work with Fleetsmarts. We were placed on hold and was informed that the Account Manager that processed the onboarding was on a call. We waited for quite some time and the account manager never came. My girlfriend asked what guarantees is there that if the $500 is paid we would get an immediate removal of the lien, to which we were told there is no guarantee, we would have to wait 45 days. We called several more times and still have not been able to speak with an Account Manager.Business Response

FleetSmarts filed a UCC lien against my company without my authorization. When I confronted them, they sent me a release form, but now they are delaying the process and making it difficult to remove the lien. This is negatively impacting my business and credit.
I have repeatedly requested that FleetSmarts file a UCC-3 Termination Statement, but they continue to give me the runaround. Their lack of professionalism and refusal to correct their mistake shows a pattern of predatory business practices.
I strongly do not recommend working with this company. If you are considering doing business with FleetSmarts, be aware that they may file unauthorized liens on your business, causing unnecessary legal and financial trouble.
I have filed complaints with the BBB, CFPB, FTC, and my state’s Attorney General to hold them accountable.Business Response

I am ******* *********, owner and operator of S&G Expediting LLC. I have reached out to your company on several occasions, including contacting the account manager, but unfortunately, I have not received a response regarding this situation.
I am writing to bring to your attention a matter that requires your urgent attention. I recently listened to a recording of our previous conversation, and I clearly stated that if I decided to move forward with your company, I would notify you. However, I never expressed my intention to work with your company, nor did I sign any agreements or contracts.
During our conversation, the representative I spoke with mentioned that they would send me information to review, but I never agreed to receive any gas cards. The arrival of these gas cards is causing significant disruptions to my trucking company, particularly in terms of finances. I want to emphasize that I will not be coerced or bullied into working with your company for factoring or any other services.
I am requesting that you release S&G Expediting LLC from all liens that your company may have against my business. I am aware that it is illegal to place a lien on my company without a signed contract or agreement, and I did not request or agree to receive any gas cards.

I was solicited a factoring service and certain promises were not fulfilled. I signed a contract stating a fuel line of credit which I didnt agree to, which I have to buy 25% of my income worth of fuel to receive a 2% factoring fee. They harass the company I work with and therefore the company doesnt want to use me as much. This is going to cost me my business because they are my sole source of income. I submit invoices and they dont respond to them, I have to call them and it still takes them days to process my paperwork. The purpose of a factoring company is to get paid in a timely manner. I desperately need out of this so called contract they have me in so I may move on. Also, they sold me on a no contract agreement, which was a lie because they have me in one for a year! What is the termination cost and ask you guys to write up paperwork for the termination so I can pay it and now all of a sudden the rules change to where I have to get another factory just to get the UCC terminated. I didn’t want any factory company anymore but now you guys want me to get with a factory company just so I can terminate you guys UCC filing.

I received a Phone call from this company offering fuel cards. I never accepted their offer. The representative calls my phone 12 times per day. I keep telling him NO. I never signed any paperwork work because I did my research and Saw terrible reviews on their scam. They delivered the Fuel cards without my knowlegde. I told them that they could send me the fuel card to speed up the process if I choose to go with them because I have a lot of offers and I have to see which one is best for me.
