      SPS is terrible.**************** is friendly enough but they charge a fee for me to use their app to pay my payment. Mute only way to not get a fee is direct deposit or mail in a check. So, what is the logic that if I write a check and a human has to open the letter, process the check and deposit it, there is no fee.If I use an app with no human involvement, there is a charge.Total rip off and very shady if you ask me. They are making money in a dishonest way knowing that people want conscience. **************** couldnt explain the logic and actually said that she gets multiple complaints every day about this. She was nice enough, its a shame she has to work for a low life company.

      If there is anyway possible to avoid SPS Service, do! For that matter if there is any way I could rate them lower then a 1 star I would! I have been trying to work with them for over a year now and I am constantly getting the run around. Every time I receive their "Get Letter", I submit the requested information right away. So far I have provided a year worth of bank statement, paycheck as well as a letter of offer that I received from my employer that clearly show I am full time and NOT seasonal that SPS is constantly stating. They do not look at the information they request and they will ask for the same information 2 months down the road. If they look at what has been requested and submitted, they would not ask the same question over and over again. Don't even bother to call and ask for a supervisor. I have year to hear back from them let alone any one of them able to fix their own problem of not reading the information that has been provided. I have never in my whole life dealt with incompetence at the level they are providing!

      Had my note modified to fixed rate a few years ago. After 15 years I am now satisfied my low Mortage payment which includes Property ***************************************** and ****************** I never thought I would have a house worth so much now. Thanks SPS??

      Our mortgage was with US bank who sold it to SPS. , right at the beginning of Covid. Why dont they give us a choice???? We have sent in signed documents to accept a deferment plan and they send back a statement saying we were late and something was wrong with the info we sent in. As of now, our mortgage is default and we are likely to lose our home. However we were contacted by a Man who was supposed to be an employee of SPS who offered us a loan modification . His directions were very questionable but we were susceptible and foolish and made 2 payments. We are holding out on the 3rd payment so we can get him checked out. I agree with the others that having to pay $15 in order for them to accept a payment is a crime

      Worse mortgage company EVER!!! I'm a covid survivor and was on my death bed and requested a modification 2yrs and got DENIED!! Request another one recently due to repairs in the home over 5k and the house not being livable and got DENIED again!!! They DO NOT care about customers and have the worst excuses of why they can't approve u! They just want you to foreclose because of the market so they can make more money and profit MORE OFF UR PROPERTY!!!

      We sent them 2 bank checks to pay off a mortgage they lost one check and sent us a letter that they destroyed the other. ************** has a 90 day hold on getting fund's back now they wont stop the interest clock ! Im stuck with 90 days interest What they did is illegal

      This company has been charging me for the home insurance and won't pay the insurance company. I have had to pay double so almost $400 a month for my house insurance and they won't pay the company or shut down the escrow account. Everytime they are cashed the only solution they have is to call back or wait for a "supervisor " to call you. They should be shut down!! I'm sure they are just doing everything they can to default on people's mortgages.

      this company is a joke. They send a notice that my home insurance has expired.....NO IT HASN'T AND YOU BETTER NOT BUY INSURANCE. Can't get anyone to talk to. This is a ploy to buy insurance and bill us when none is needed

      Select Portfolio Servicing *** pretends to care for their clients they really hope you default so they can take your home. Thats how they made me feel recently after denying my home modification never once picked up the phone to reach our for more explanantion on my seasonal type of business.

      SPS Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. (owned by Credit ******) purchased my mortgage and became the servicer of my residential loan. The words "service" or "servicing" should be nowhere near this company's name!Unlike my previous loan servicing company who had my mortgage, SPS, who is based in Utah, charges both to make a mortgage payment over the phone ($15) and to make payment on their website ($5 w/in the 1st 10 days and $15 after). PA to UT by snail mail can take up to 2 weeks making the timeliness of payment precarious. They have refused to be set up with the second largest credit union in the state of ************, ************ State Employees Credit Union (PSECU), for electronic funds transfers through PSECU's "******************* system" that would allow for the discretion of the payee as to the timing of payment. Rather, the only alternative (not including fees), is automatic withdrawal on a set date from a set account, which does not work for everyone who's paychecks may come sporadically. They are purposefully being mercenary to gain extra fees and make it as difficult and costly to pay them on time. From the beginning of their gaining my mortgage I have had to do the work of providing the homeowners insurance information as well as watchdogging the escrow account for taxes etc. Again, they are the worst at customer service, dozens of phone calls to resolve what they should have done automatically, as if I worked for them! Then the audacity to charge to make a payment EVEN ON THE WEBSITE!!! I would give them a ZERO star rating, but 1 star is as low as you can go.
