      They are a bunch of scammers. In order to get the loan I had to pay my property taxes with them. After about 1 year they raised my property taxes by 23,000 dollars. After consulting with the mortgage company and requesting to know why my property taxes were that high, they gave no valid reason for the increase. I proceeded to go to my tax collector's office to validate the raise in my property taxes, they stated that my taxes have not went up and they have yet to receive a payment from SPS. I then requested the escrow to be removed from my account and that I would pay my property taxes myself as I did so before accruing the loan. I filled out the required form several times and yet they still refuse to remove the escrow from my account. The only way they would have given me the loan was if I applied the escrow to the loan. It's not a full mortgage all I did was borrow money against the property. I also request receipts showing they paid the county property taxes and they stated that they couldn't provide proof off payment to the county. All I wanted was to pay my principal and interest on the loan and they refuse to remove the escrow from my account.

      Sps truly s****! We have them pay property tax and home insurance on our behalf, it's our first year of buying this house and using service, but it's been a nightmare!Sps pays property tax late, because we received a letter from LA county requesting ** to pay proper tax or get a penalty, wTH! Sps is supposed to pay on our behave Since we paid them along with our monthly payment. So, we called sps customer service and was adviced by their own agent that we could have property tax and home insurance removed and pay on our own, So I've been dealing with this **** Since july 2023, and we are in December for God sakes! I Did written form sps agent told to and called for updated ever since. All conversations are being recorded, because there really isn't anything i knew how to do. Sps agent told me to only pay monthly payment while our request is being reviewed, So i Did. Then when i call next time, the agent has absolutely no clue What's going on, read the notes **** it! I asked your agent to make notes every time i called, So that next agent would have the most updated info. Apparently they don't look! Every single time i call, they told me to wait that it's being reviewed, for half a year?! Sounds to me you don't take customer's request or question seriously! Wuen i finally get to ask for a supervisor for help, they ask for two documents that i didn't have when first buy the house, You could have told me at the very beginning, So i don't waste all these freaking months calling, i have a life! Sps agents gave mixed info regarding our account. Check our recorded conversations if you don't think you'd done so, why did you ask my consent to record while you're acting like the worst customer service on earth? Train your agents to know better! This isn't right!

      ********* this is my 2nd review of this company, they are the worst mortgage company that I have ever dealt with, these other companies are selling our loans to these people don't get stuck with them if you can help it .I have some money coming and when I do, I want ever have to be bothered with them again. i have to call them to log in to my account giving my social security number wish i don't like them to do that .and the people that works for the company is like stupid.i have six years left and if I get some money before then I will bring it to an end sorry company they don't even deserve a one star I really give them 0 **************

      My uncle purchased a mobile home and his loan was sold to Select Portfolio, and to date the home has a lot of damage, and we went to try to receive assistance through some of the government programs. HE has been approved to receive a new home at no cost to him, through a ****** He had 30 days to receive an approval from the above lender to demo the home so the new home could be delivered and for over 2 or more months they have refused to assist, they have given us the run around with filling out papers that have nothing to do with what is happening. There is no refinancing of any home, it is FREE! The customer service agents are disgustingly uneducated and are so unwilling to listen or show empathy to include the management. This has been one of the worst experiences of our life. My mom and I have been doing everything to assist my uncle. We have faxed documents, and I even provided a very detailed letter, and they are just sickening. I have a call center that I oversee and have been with my company over 30 years, and I would never allow my staff to treat a customer they way they do at this company. My uncle now has to live with this, or we have to try to figure out how to fix some of the issues the home currently has due to them not approving for him to be able to receive his new FREE home. NO ONE is offering assistance, and all they do is keep sending the same c*** to us to fill out call freaking HUD, call this place and we do and these people tell us go back to the lender they have absolutely no clue what we are asking them to do, they know nothing about the existing home or loan. They are a freaking, disgusting JOKE!!! I am livid!!

      Claim to working with homeowners to keep them in their homes. Only to drag you through a rigorous process especially if your self employed. I was happy with my previous mortgage company only to find out that it was sold to this company. Try to do online payments only to find out they charge you $15 per transaction. If you have an insurance claim on your house they hold the funds until the repairs are done. Can't wait for the RV.

      To this may concern:I have asked Select Portfolio ************ a.k.a. SPS **** for validation on the account they claim I owe them. They state that they are a servicing company for my mortgage.SPS incorporated is reporting to all 3 credit bureaus that I owe them for a home I believe SPS incorporated is in violation of the fair credit reporting act section ***** and fair debt collection practices act section 807-8.I have requested for a copy of any viable evidence bearing my signature showing that I have or ever had some contractual obligation to pay them. SPS incorporated has yet to provide me with the requested documents. I have sent a certified letter on 10/24/23.They keep sending me the same documents over and over. The documents have nothing to do with what I am requesting.

      over paid 19k to escrow. They said the check was in the mail in September. its December now and still no check. I keep calling and calling. They cancelled and reissued check twice. Still in the mail. It's been 3 months

      SPS is the worst company ever!! I've had the same documentation issues as everyone else that has complained. I don't understand how we, as the consumer, have no say in who handles our homes financial well being! I advise every employee, who are trying to do a good job, to find a new company to work for. I'm waiting for a class action law suit to be started for inhumane practices.

      Worst company to deal with mortgage. I wish consumers have more say in which lenders we choose, rather than us getting passed around like a toy. Where is the consumer protection agency?? They messed up on my name, despite all my original paperwork showing the correct name. They even admitted it was entered incorrectly on their end. I called in at least 5-6 times, before they finally changed it. I asked about incorporating our Supplemental property tax into our payment.. kept going back 5-6 times, every time it’s always the same. “We will escalate this to the manager. I will personally call you back next week.” Nada. Nothing. A month ago, still no update. You’d think for all the money they take from us in interest, they’d get their act together. So frustrating.

      They r the worst company to finance a house with they always raises your payments and your interest rates where you can't even afford to keep your house.
