      0 Stars - I made a reservation at ********************** for a **** room. We had a very bad bed (like sleeping in a ditch) the first night. When I complained to the front desk the next day, they accommodated us and moved us to a different room with 2 double beds. When I asked about the rate difference between the rooms, they told me there was nothing they could do about it since I had booked through a 3rd party. I was shocked by this statement because I thought I had booked through the hotel directly. The website had a link for "Front Desk Reservations", which made it look like you were booking directly through the hotel. At the end of our stay, I requested a copy of the statement. I was shocked to learn that Front Desk Reservations aka ReservationDesk.com aka Reservation Counter, LLC had charged me $125.93 more than what the hotel showed on the statement. Reservation Counter refuses to refund the difference. I think this company is deceptive and is operating with questionable business practices.

      My experience echos that of many others. Made a reservation with what I thought was the hotel - *************************************************** in ******* ******** but it turns out that somehow Reservations Counter was supervising the reservation. I developed a medical condition that makes it impossible to travel by any means anywhere. Provided medical documentation as well as PT appointments scheduled before and after the date of reservation. No use, they have my money and will not refund. Non refund policies are in the fine print and not evident to the online user. I have been corresponding with the company for about 4 weeks, case has been escalated and the final response I received yesterday is that the hotel will not make a refund since the reservation was made online - with guess who. Tells me who has the money, they will not need to reimburse the hotel. They keep it all. Sounds like a huge scam. I will be posting a lot of reviews about this unpleasant experience. I hope you heed the warning. I recommend that if you travel to ******* ********, consider staying in ****************** at the Royal Park. NO ISSUES and a great property. I had a reservation with them for a second night in ******** - they did not take money in advance and have a humane 24 hour in advance cancellation. Never lost a ***** where ReservationCounter. Com has $675 of my money that will not be used for a room or probably shared with *****.

      AWFUL BUSINESS!!!!! Business is a total scam. Number is on the hotel's website no clue how it got there), *** answers the phone and says he works for IHG. I tell him I can book it online but he can get me the same price. He asked for my credit card number to hold it. I looked at my credit card immediately and saw it was charged double what the hotel was charging. I angrily stated he scammed me, didn't ask for my authorization to charge the card and why it was so much more. He told me, "I didn't listen to him." I asked for a manager, he put me on hold. I was on hold for over 30 minutes and no one ever answered. Called the hotel and they said I had to fight out a refund with this company. Called this morning and they said they would "look into it". More to this but just the main points.

      I was about 2 hrs away from home looking for a room needed check in at 7 am I spoke to and agent from reservation desk. He assured me check in right away for la quinta inn in maricopa. I get to the hotel spoke to the receptionist and told me check in was until 1 pm. I told her I was assured a room for 7am She said no Check in was until 1 pm. I called back reservation desk they didnt want to give me my money back. I highly recommend for you not to use reservation desk for planning a get away trip they were awful and full of ****!!

      This business is awful and NOT transparent. I was booking a reservation for an employee, for which I needed to provide our accounting staff a detailed receipt. When I booked, I asked the employee if there were any additional fees, and if the resort fee and all taxes were included in the $193 of taxes and fees, and the employee ensured me that all expenses were included in the total.I received the confirmation email for the employee, and, in addition to the "print detailed receipt" button NOT producing a receipt, the email specifically outlined further fees to be paid "upon check in". As a reminder, I was told all fees, including resort fees, were already paid.I called the customer service line and asked for a breakdown of all the fees included in the "taxes and fees" section of the confirmation email (again, $193). If the resort fee still needed to be paid, what on earth was I charged $193 for? I was told she did not have access to that information. I asked who did, and she said no one. I literally said, "Are you telling me no person on earth has access to the detailed break down of the $193 of taxes and fees that I was charged?" Her answer was, "That's correct."If literally no one on earth has access to the line items in a receipt, the fees are fraudulent. This business is trash.I ask for a manager to get in touch and provide me with a transparent receipt.

This inventory is purchased in bulk at a discounted rate, specifically for resale purposes. When this bulk purchase is made, the taxes and fees have already been added to the reservations by the hotel suppliers and are not itemized when we receive them. Your total price includes all the taxes and fees required to complete your reservation. We are not provided this information, so we are unable to share this with you.       Zero STARS!!!! This company is a SCAM! Their phone comes up on a accommodation search making you believe you are actually making a reservation with the hotel or motel. They don't tell you that they are a 3rd party making the reservation and that you will be charged a $15.99 fee that is non-refundable. When you give your credit card to hold the reservation they automatically add their charge without disclosing it.

      What a horrible company! I made a reservation for 2 queen **** for 4 adults and the email confirmation said 2 full **** for 2 adults. At the end of our conversation he specifically told me the reservation was for 2 queen ****, so imagine my surprise when the email confirmation did not say that. The worst part was calling back to clarify! I waited on hold nearly 30 minutes the first time. I hung up and tried again. The on hold music was horrendous! There was loud static, like a bad connection, that was actually painful to my ears! From the beginning I felt somewhat uneasy about the agent. He seemed "slippery"... my "name was lovely", etc. Seemed a bit too friendly, unprofessional. And then when I took the customer satisfaction survey, letting them know how displeased I was I could write only a sentence or two before I had reached the limit of characters. I WILL NEVER use them again for a reservation! This company isn't even worth 1 star! Zero stars is too good for this outfit!

      Be very wary using this service.Was not told by reservationist on call that there would be a booking fee. Was not told credit card would be charged at time of call for a booking 4 months later (Actually asked that credit card not be charged)Unable to get anyone to answer calls, on hold for long time, at multiple numbers Reservations were made with specific requests - pet friendly- which were said to be honored but, in fact were not.

      I called to book at La Quinta ************ by ************************. When I called, he insisted to tell me that I had reached the hotel. I work for a government agency, and I was planning to travel for work. I asked to obtain a room at the government rate. He said that I would get that rate, I asked him multiple times to make sure that I would receive this rate (I later found out that was a lie). Thinking that everything was good because I am speaking to someone "connected" to this hotel I went along and booked my stay from 6/19/23 to 6/22/23. I believe this company is absolutely horrible and engages in what I believe to be fraudulent practices. I also experienced being rushed to complete the booking which I know look back at and know why. When I received my confirmation, which they texted me, another sketchy thing, it came from "Reservation Counter" but when he answered the phone, he did not say he was with Reservation Counter. Unfortunately, my training was canceled on 6/13/23. I called first thing in the morning to attempt to cancel my reservation. Their "cancellation policy" has nothing to do with the Hotels policy at all. I had until 6/13/23 by 1:00AM to cancel!!! They were absolutely unhelpful and did NOTHING to work with me! All they kept saying is that because of their cancellation policy they can't refund me. I tried to then reschedule it. Thinking I could arrange to go for another training 2 weeks later. Again, they kept talking about their "cancellation policy" and the only way that they can reschedule is if they cancel it and it was past the cancelation date and time. I spoke to the "manager" ****, and he was absolutely horrible. He didn't even care to listen to what I had to say, he just recited their "Cancellation Policy" DO NOT BOOK WITH RESERVATION COUNTER! I will be writing a review in every platform that I can to make sure no one books through this scam company and goes through this! If I could give 0 stars I would!

      If you make a mistake, they are 100% unwilling to help you. I didn't even realize I was on their web site and made a reservation for a hotel in ******** ****** and got the wrong one. I had started out on the marriot.com website, and don't know how I got switched over to reservationdesk.com. I didn't realize I had the wrong hotel until I printed the reciept (Wanted Courtyard by Marriot Downtown, and got Courtyard by ******************** As soon as I saw that I called Reservationdesk.com to correct and they said "Sorry, you agreed to a non-refundable payment". I called the Marriot that I had the booking for and they said since it is not for today, no problem they allow cancelations made within 24 hours. I was within 1 hour. But Reservationdesk.com would not change anything. Very disappointed and frustrated!!! Went to a supervisor and got no help. Same story. Your money is gone. either keep that reservation or not but not refund, no change of reservation. I had cancelled the reservation with ********, then finding I would still be charged by ReservationDest.com, I called Marriott back and they restored my reservation. Marriott very helpful. Reservationdesk.com - totally useless. Don't know how they poached me off of ********* website. Star rating 0 (really zero but lowest option is one)
