THEY ARE A SCAM!!! They make you think you are booking at the hotels website, specifically say there should not be any other charges, and 5 minutes after the fact when you get the booking confirmation, they claim hotel will charge $500 extra fee on arrival (additional twenty five percent of the booking cost). I will look for legal advice on this. I cant believe they are allowed to keep operating scamming on people like that!I called a couple of times trying to reason with them and the same guy and the same "manager" give you the same inconsistent answer claiming every fee is expressed on the website. Took every snapshot to prove them wrong and they still say they cannot return my money due to their cancel policy.

I am one of the many others that have been not only scammed about a non refundable reservation but at the time when we were almost ready to go on this vacation, we had a terrible family death. We call and explain our son was murdered by a drug driver and they still refused to cancel the reservation. They told us we would have to call the Motel 8 directly and have them ok the cancelation. We did and the motel they told us that they can't cancel but the Reservaton Counter.com is the only one that can Cancel. I call Reservaton Counter.com back and they kept telling me that they would not give us the money back and we were either to go on vacation after our sons funeral or just forget about going. We had the death certificate to give them and they refuse to accept it. BEWARE OF THE SCAMMING COMPANY. THEY ARE COMPLETE RIP OFF HEARTLESS SCAMMERS.

Absolutely horrible customer service. My wife booked a ******************** thinking that we could place our Marriott rewards number somewhere to get the member discount. Unfortunately she did not find it and booked. We immediately contacted the company not realizing that they were a 3rd person party (since it was seemed to be the Marriott web page) explaining that there was a almost $300 difference between their price and the member price. ****** (the customer service rep) said that it was a non refundable reservation and he could do nothing about it. I asked if they could at least price match the member price. He said he would put in the request but could not guarantee it. I then asked if it was possible to speak with a manager. That is when he became extremely defensive and asked me why I needed to speak with a supervisor. He stated "... why do you want to talk with a supervisor? You don't trust me?... you think he can give you a refund?..." As a customer, I believe that asking for a supervisor should never be followed with aggressive questioning to dissuade the customer from speaking with one. These are poor standards that creates a very untrusting environment for a buying customer.

Wish I had read previous reviews before booking! Made a reservation thru ReservationCounter.com (in turn thru ********* ***** confirmed they charged Expedia $594.86 and our credit card was charged $796 plus the $15.99 booking fee. The per night room charges were higher and they charged an additional 100+ in taxes and fees! Called and no one would tell be what the fees were for - they said they did not know. Escalated to a supervisor who hung up on me. Customer Service Rep and Supervisor just kept saying that is what the hotel told us to charge. I get the $15.99 booking fee - but the extra $200 is outrageous. Will never use this service again and would NOT recommend anyone else us them either.

*****, thank you for your review and inquiry about a taxes and fees breakdown. As an online travel agency, we purchase our inventory from multiple hotel partners and suppliers. This inventory is purchased in bulk at a discounted rate, specifically for resale purposes. When this bulk purchase is made, the taxes and fees have already been added to the reservations by the hotel suppliers and are not itemized when we receive them. Your total price includes all the taxes and fees required to complete your reservation. We are not provided this information, so we are unable to share this with you. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please feel free to contact our escalations team at [email protected], Review Manager

Definitely a scam. I am a fairly seasoned traveler and I made the rookie mistake of doing a web search for ******** contact information and instead mistakenly finding the number to this company (due to how they are able to make their own contact information show up on a web search for Hilton and make themselves look as though their information is for ******.) They acted like they were ****** the whole time on the phone and then I ended up getting a service fee charged to my credit card that was never discussed. I know that there are no service fees involved with booking hotels directly through Hilton so I would have hung up immediately had they mentioned it. Come to find out that both them and their parent company, *********.com, make it difficult for you to find actual contact information when you want to contact them directly. Funny how it was so easy to find their number through a search for ****** but not when you actually know the name of the company and want to contact them directly. Unfortunately, most of the people they scam will never even know the name of the company before proceeding with booking with them and will not be able to read this review before being scammed. This was a reminder for me to not be so fast on the draw when looking up customer service numbers and always double and triple check the information first.

This company is absolutely horrible. Booked a hotel for my son's graduation six months in advance. Started calling me a week before the date that I will have to change hotels because the hotel is overbooked. Offered to move my reservation to one night earlier as long as price was same or lower. **************** on the phone agreed and quoted me $202 per night. When the reservation confirmation was sent by text, it was $395/night. I called immediately and they said there was nothing they could do. I could cancel the reservation if I wanted to. I asked to speak to a manager and after 30 minutes on hold, the manager told me that their calls are recorded and if their person confirmed the $202 rate, they would honor it, but it would take **** days to investigate. I advised that it was only eight days before checking in and that I would need to know before checking in. I had not heard anything and when I called on the day before checking in, they said their was no evidence that they committed any price over the phone (as if I would book a hotel without know the price). They said I will have to pay the $395/night price or cancel.Do not deal with this company in any way. They are 100% a scam. I don't care how they respond to this review. The absolute worst company around. This company i

Total Scam. Their website looks as if you are contacting the hotel directly (but you are not). I booked for 2 rooms at a specific hotel. They booked the wrong rooms, had the wrong email address despite me giving it to them 3 times during the call. I did not realize I wasn't dealing with the actual hotel until I called back to correct the mistake. At this point, I cancelled the reservation, less than an hour after I made it, and they said I would be subjected to a $593.56 (you read that right) cancelation fee on a $1311.88 + ***** service fee! reservation (the reservation was a week and a half away) for a reservation I made an hour ago. The devil is a lie! I don't understand how this site is allowed to exist! The scam artist started lecturing me about the cancelation small print when the reservation was made over the phone! I couldn't even cancel the charge because it was still in the authorization phase. Oh, but I will! reservationcounter AKA travelpass group is TRASH

There was no confusion. It's ******* clear that you are frauds. This comment is a contradiction to the "we are not affiliated with any hotels" recording on your cancellation line. Hotels don't charge 100% cancelation fee for canceling a reservation the same day you made the reservation. you still haven't reversed the charges! Just give me my money back! Nothing else to look into. Don't have time to hold the phone for 45 minutes to speak to someone that doesn't have the authority to reverse the charges, been there done that with you scammers. Give me my ******* dollars back

HUGE SCAM. I worked previously as a travel agent and I am in shock these people are not being prosecuted for blatant fraud. I called to make a reservation three months in advance of the desired stay. I took great care to confirm the booking could be changed or canceled within 72 hours of booking if necessary. The reservation specialist assured me changes or cancelations could be made up to one-week pre-stay. He then sent me a confirmation email that said no changes can be made. When I called back to say I was lied to by their agent, I was told they would escalate my request but could not promise a refund. I called my credit card company immediately reporting fraud. Avoid this company at all costs. I feel so bad for everyone working there and everyone they scam.

Called and made reservation, found it cheaper so called to see if there was something I could do. The guy talked me into another hotel and told me they could cancel the other one. I made sure that it was clear that it could be done and he said yes, yes, yes you will have no problem. THEY WOULDN'T. I had two rooms at 2 different hotels for the same night. So pissed!
